The innovative method was developed by bringing federated learning methods to the medical field. In this study, the author refined federated learning models with data sets containing photographs of brain tumors. The cancer research community faces a huge problem in trying to predict the development of brain tumors. This paper proposes a streamlined framework for using federated deep learning to classify brain tumor diseases while keeping private information safe. When validating federated deep learning models, this system leverages a dispersed client-server architecture to safeguard client data and IID. The system was tested in both conventional and federated classroom settings with a small and large number of users. After evaluating several pre-trained models, we chose AlexNet as our benchmark due to its high 98.53 percent accuracy. Federal learning (FL) was then used to assess IID datasets. The framework is the best choice for detecting and categorizing brain tumors early because of its improved capabilities. © 2023 ieee.

systems' performance evaluation and improvement are endless as long as a system runs. This requires several records of data containing the chronological order of executed process. In this case, logging comes into action. Logging is a mechanism of recording the empirical running process in a system or software. Expected benefits from this practice include assisting the developer in debugging under the development phase. It is not only for debugging but also for compliance check and anomaly detection for a running system. The logging mechanism might vary from one system to another, especially if a stand-Alone system is compared to a distributed system. Thus, this survey aims to identify the existing recent works on logging state-of-The-Art along with the research objectives. The underlying architecture and considerations are summarized. A logging taxonomy becomes one of the main contributions of this study. Current research limitations and challenges are discussed, followed by several possible areas of future research directions. © 2022 ieee.

Social sensing is emerging as an effective and pervasive sensing paradigm to collect timely data and observations from human sensors. This paper focuses on the problem of COVID-19 misinformation detection on social media. Our work is motivated by the lack of COVID-specific knowledge in current misinformation detection solutions, which is critical to assess the truthfulness of social media claims about the emerging COVID19 disease. In this paper, we leverage human intelligence on a crowdsourcing platform to obtain essential knowledge facts for detecting the COVID-19 misinformation on social media. Two critical challenges exist in solving our problem: i) how to efficiently acquire accurate and timely knowledge that is both inclusive and specific to COVID-19? ii) How to effectively coordinate the efforts from both expert and non-expert workers to detect COVID-19 misinformation? To address these challenges, we develop FakeSens, a social sensing based crowd knowledge graph approach that explicitly explores the knowledge facts specific to COVID-19 and models the reliability of different types of crowd workers to capture the misleading COVID-19 claims Evaluation results on a real-world dataset show that FakeSens significantly outperforms state-of-the-art baselines in accurately detecting misleading claims of COVID-19 on social media.

The goal of this study is to develop an effective strategy for mitigating the effects of distributed generator (DG) integration on protective device coordination. The recloser-fuse coordination is greatly influenced by the incorporation of DGs. On a typical distribution system, the most notable effects of DGs are a rise in the magnitude of fault currents as well as changes in the direction in which power flows. The simulation results imply that if a brief fault occurs, it may be feasible to restore coordination among the protective devices by implementing a fuse-saving approach that includes the recloser's quick operation. The approach also works well for isolating a permanently defective piece of the feeder. The technique that was recommended used an Algorithm to determine the best values of TDS of overcurrent relays and, by extension, the operating period of circuit breaker CB. As a consequence, a strategy for establishing the relay must be computed and prescribed in order to reduce the length of time the relays must work while simultaneously preventing their inappropriate operation. Simulation studies on a real radial distribution system have shown the efficacy of this technology, with findings applying to a range of fault locations and DG sizes. © 2022 ieee.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) uses reliable wireless network solutions such as Time-Slotted Channel Hopping (TSCH) to integrate cyber-physical systems with industrial environments via the IPv6 over TSCH (6TiSCH) protocol stack. The quality of 6TiSCH radio links affects the network performance significantly in terms of energy consumption, latency, and reliability. Therefore, accurate link quality estimation (LQE) is an important feature influencing the design and optimization of higher-layer protocols. Indeed, accurate link quality estimation helps predict link failure and avoid packet loss, which ensures good routes and better quality of service. This paper surveys and discusses existing link quality estimators used in 6TiSCH networks and proposes a taxonomy that captures the fundamental differences among them. Besides, comparisons between different LQE solutions are performed to provide a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art and useful insights. The paper ends by highlighting open problems in this active area of research. © 2022 ieee.

The adoption of Blockchain technology in the medical sector has started gaining popularity because it mitigates crucial security, privacy, and interoperability challenges. Moreover, the massive volume of data produced and exchanged via electronic health records has raised various issues concerning data ownership. It is challenging to trace ownership information and medical history because these records are scattered among numerous medical institutions, and individuals have no control over their data, thus jeopardising the privacy and record archiving. Therefore, we created and put into practice a solution based on blockchain, IoT, and AI. The developed system can improve healthcare management by building a patient-centric model and increasing the privacy and interoperability of medical data. Along with solving the preceding issues, we have also incorporated machine learning features to monitor and predict the risk of arrhythmia and heart diseases respectively. © 2022 ieee.

Accurate sensor node localization in wireless sensor networks is essential for many uses, such as smart cities, military operations, and environmental monitoring. In order to achieve precise and economical sensor node localization, this paper introduces a hybrid optimization approach that combines Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) with Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO). While GWO has better local search capabilities, PSO is renowned for its strong global search power. The suggested approach combines these two algorithms, utilizing their respective advantages to improve performance overall. To establish a good approximation of sensor node placements, PSO is first used. This provides a refined baseline for the GWO. GWO then refines these places even further in order to get greater accuracy. Simulation is used to validate the hybrid technique and show how well it works to precisely estimate sensor node locations within a constrained search space. When compared to PSO and GWO, the hybrid PSO-GWO algorithm enhances coverage accuracy by about 9.41% and 5.68%, respectively and positioning accuracy by about 9.76% compared to PSO and 5.88% compared to GWO.

Vocally impaired individuals find it extremely challenging to communicate with general populace. Since the general populaces are not trained in hand sign language, so interaction is quite challenging. Here, we suggest a smart speaking system that enables individuals with voice impairments to communicate via hand gestures. The systems make use of a speaker unit and a hand motion reading device with motion and flex sensors. Circuitry in this project is powered by batteries. In this research, we provide a sensor-based system that can recognize hand motions used to represent all English alphabets in sign language. We suggest that if a person with speech impairments wears this wearable smart gadget, it would recognize the 26 letters. In order for this technology to fully be able to aid communication of this class of individuals, we have spoken about its difficulties and possibilities in the future. In the field of human computer interfaces, hand gesture recognition is another difficult issue. © 2022 ieee.

In cloud ecosystems, distributed block storage systems are used to provide a persistent block storage service, which is the fundamental building block for operating cloud native services. However, existing distributed storage systems performed poorly for random write workloads in an all-NVMe storage configuration, becoming CPU-bottlenecked. Our roofline-based approach to performance analysis on a conventional distributed block storage system with NVMe SSDs reveals that the bottleneck does not lie in one specific software module, but across the entire software stack;(1) tightly coupled I/O processing, (2) inefficient threading architecture, and (3) local backend data store causing excessive CPU usage. To this end, we re-architect a modern distributed block storage system for improving random write performance. The key ingredients of our system are (1) decoupled operation processing using non-volatile memory, (2) prioritized thread control, and (3) CPU-efficient backend data store. Our system emphasizes low CPU overhead and high CPU efficiency to efficiently utilize NVMe SSDs in a distributed storage environment. We implement our system in Ceph. Compared to the native Ceph, our prototype system delivers more than 3x performance improvement for small random write I/Os in terms of both IOPS and latency by efficiently utilizing CPU cores.

Wireless sensor networks are built from nodes called mod - small autonomous devices powered by batteries and microchips with radio communication at a frequency - for example 2.4 GHz. A special software allows mods to be organized into distributed networks, communicate with each other, interrogate and exchange data with adjacent nodes, the distance of which is usually no more than 100 meters. A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a wireless network consisting of geographically distributed autonomous devices that use sensors to collectively monitor physical or environmental conditions in different areas. They can measure parameters such as temperature, sound, vibration, and pressure, movement of objects or wind. The development of wireless sensor networks was initially motivated by military tasks such as battlefield surveillance. In this paper discussed in detail about, wireless sensor networks are increasingly used in many areas of civil life, including industrial and environmental monitoring, healthcare, and material movement control. The main operational processing of the data collected by the motes is carried out at the node or gateway, which is a very powerful computer. But to process the data, you have to get it first. For this purpose, the node must be equipped with an antenna.
