In this paper, a self-interference cancellation scheme is designed by the oblique projection polarization filter (OPPF) in an in-band full-duplex (IBFD) system. We apply two different polarization states (PSs) for the transmitter and receiver by the virtual polarization (VP) technique, which can be generated by orthogonal dual-polarization antennas (ODPAs). The local receiver implements the OPPF to cancel the local transmitter's strong co-frequency interference. In addition, depolarization is considered, and a pre-compensation method is designed to mitigate the influence of the depolarization. Finally, simulation results by the performance of OPPF are given to prove the effectiveness of the proposed methods and show the key parameters.

Power generation from solar photovoltaic (PV) plants depends on multiple factors such as solar radiance and ambient temperature. Effective monitoring and control of the energy generated with the solar PV plants may augment the complete performance of the system. The local controllers regulate switching between solar PV, local battery, community battery, and grid according to the availability of power in each system. The sensor data and user information are stored in the cloud that can be accessed with the Internet of Things (IoT) device for further computation. A Web-based graphical user interface (GUI) has been developed for appropriate monitoring and control of energy flow and also to enable the power pooling. The app gets information from the cloud on which various sensor’s data regarding energy pooling are stored by the local/community controllers, and it displays the information that is stored in the cloud. The primary task is to design and develop a Web-based application with sufficient data security. To secure the user data in the cloud, multi-factor authentication and symmetric key encryption are used for authorized access and data encryption. The power distribution systems always need special attention for its planning and control. The distribution systems must be persistently adjustable to increasing load demand with satisfying the voltage range and without defying highest current conveying potential of the conductors. Properly planned distribution systems can lower capital investment, subtract system power losses and to provide improved quality of powers to consumers. This paper reviewed the works done by researchers previously on the effects of load models and load growth on system power loss and voltage profile. An ieee 13-bus radial electrical distribution test network is considered and simulated. Then, a study is carried out for the impact of DG in distribution system planning such as line loading with load growth, system power loss, voltage profile, need of new substation or up-gradation of existing substation and investment on transmission and distribution lines expansion.

sensor Cloud is a prominent technology that integrates sensor network and cloud computing to provide integrated capabilities to a wide range of applications. sensor network sense physical parameters in the sensor cloud, captures them and, eventually, the information is placed in cloud servers via gateway. At Every occasion untreated information from the sensor network is placed in the cloud server resulting in the overall system being unbalanced. Because of the handling of raw information, the energy of the node eventually drain as well as the cloud server stores most of the undesirable information which would degrade its efficiency. Load balancing in sensor cloud using Neuro-fuzzy and agents is proposed in this paper. By utilizing Neuro-fuzzy method, unwanted information is eliminated and only expected information with better accuracy is stored into cloud server. At the physical sensor network, agents have been continuously imposed to retrieve the sensed information from various clustered nodes and finally it is been submitted to cluster head minimizing usage of node energy. The combinational Neurofuzzy optimization technique balances the overall load of the system by rejecting similar information generated from multiple sensors and making decisions on the information gathered. Accuracy of the Neuro-fuzzy output is improved by incorporating weights to the decision outcome which further improves system reliability significantly. The result explores that there is an inconsistent increase in network life of overall system as well as improved information accuracy and small information is processed and saved in cloud servers with high accuracy, hence enhancing system stability by using load balancing method. © 2020 ieee.

Data Protection is a major research topic concerning the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT systems continue to permeate deeper into our personal lives, where devices sense, process, and store all kinds of data. This poses various challenges to security and privacy aspects, especially to applications running on resource constrained devices. In this paper we evaluate selected, well established data protection mechanisms that enable confidentiality and integrity of data. Specifically, we look into the performance of different cryptographic block and stream ciphers, hashing algorithms, message authentication codes, signature mechanisms, and key exchange protocols executed on state-of-the-art resource constrained devices. By providing limitations and data throughput values, our obtained results ease the calculation of performance/data protection thresholds and facilitate the design and development of secure IoT systems.

In this paper, we consider a hybrid terrestrial and underwater RF wireless cooperative communication system. We improve the energy awareness of the system by employing simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) technique. The impact of the system performance parameters, such as signal-noise-to-ratio, bit error rate, outage probability and throughput are extensively investigated. All theoretical results are validated by numerical results. Furthermore, the impact of the time allocation in time-switching protocol is investigated. Simulation results, which are based on theoretical analysis and underwater experimental data, verifies that SWIPT integrated proposed system improve the overall energy awareness while maintaining the system performance.

At a recent time Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) have become increasingly focused on the ability to work effectively in different work areas. It is widely used in military surveillance, transportation management, health care, etc. in dynamic Wireless sensor networks systems, the risk of systems services and the constant change makes it a biggest challenge even though there are more attempts to acquire and process huge-scale live *** main objective is not only to design a new routing protocol that ensures network lifetime efficiency. For that reason, we have designed the standard framework and simplify the process of building a novel geographical routing sensor networks that introduce energy awareness routing. Firstly, the whole network is divided into multiple grids with randomly distributed sensor nodes and all sensor nodes only communicates with their neighbor grids. Each grid selects the grid head based on the maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node in each *** data transmitter node identifies the neighbor grid with the grid head having maximum energy level and minimum distance of the destination node among its neighbor grids for data transmission. The proposed protocol provides a good trade-off between balancing energy and in all cases the lifespan of sensory networks can be significantly expanded. © 2019 ieee.

Language barriers are one of the biggest challenges that humans in general and children in particular face in their verbal interactions. Many reseach projets with mutli-countries scope are expected to give a significant help to teachers and doctors to support children with verbal communication disabilities by using humanoid robots. The usage of robot agent is excpected to stimulate the verbal communication based on natural language interactions with this kind of children. Such stimulation may be of great importance in improving the ability of these children to interact verbally with their teachers and classmates. In this context, we propose through this work to extend the language capabilities of humanoid robots to be able to communicate with children using differnet natural languages. This should allow a humanoid robot to recognize the spoken or written message of each children group and thus use this language to interact with. In this paper, we present the design of a generic models and the implementation of a software components to allow language neutral verbal interactions between children and humanoid robots. An extended ontology models will be provided to serve as a knowledge database of a set of concepts and theirs propoerties to represent the semantic aspects describing the relations between human-robot vebal communications. Based on thus generic models, we will provide an optimized new algorithms and their Python implementation to extend the natural language processing Python pakages. In this paper, a set of human-Robot verbal ineractions models are presented and the resultant conclusions and perspectives are discussed. © 2020 ieee.

In this article, we develop a comprehensive framework to characterize the performance of a drone assisted backscatter communication-based Internet of Things (IoT) sensor network. We consider a scenario where the drone transmits an RF carrier that is modulated by IoT sensor node (SN) to transmit its data. The SN implements load modulation which results in amplitude shift keying (ASK) type modulation for the impinging R F carrier. In order to quantify the performance of the considered network, we characterize the coverage probability for the ground based SN node. The statistical framework developed to quantify the coverage probability explicitly accommodates a dyadic backscatter channel which experiences deeper fades than that of the one-way Rayleigh channel. Our model also incorporates Line of Sight (LoS) and Non-LoS (NLoS) propagation states for accurately modelling large-scale path- loss between drone and SN. We consider spatially distributed SNs which can be modelled using a spatial Binomial Point Process (BPP). We practically implement the proposed system using Software Defined Radio (SDR) and a custom designed SN tag. The measurements of parameters such as noise figure, tag reflection coefficient etc., are used to parametrize the developed framework. Lastly, we demonstrate that there exists an optimal set of parameters which maximizes the coverage probability for the SN.
