The increase in pollution levels in water bodies has made water scarce for agricultural needs. Technology in irrigation not only overcomes this rising problem but also increases the efficiency of the farmers, thereby increasing the Gross Domestic Product of a country. This paper aims at using IoT in indoor irrigation methods to control the wastage of water and increase the efficiency of the soil. The proposed system reads the sensor data and handles water automatically (using relay motors and sprinklers) through a Control System board. A WiFi module is used for communication between sensors and base stations. Continuous detected information dealing with and showing on the server is cultivated using graphical UI. Remote checking of the field water system framework decreases human intercession and permits remote observing and controlling on the android phone. distributedcomputing is an alluring answer for the huge measure of information created by the remote sensor arrangement. Considering rapidly evolving Internet-of-Things services such as smart buildings, smart homes or secure e-health applications, the fog computing concept provides a technical basis for innovative application scenarios of the blockchain technology. We develop an enhancement of the fog computing architecture HCL-BaFog by the blockchain functionality to collect and securely share sensor data. They may arise from private IoT applications such as ambient assisted living which incorporate the need of an immutable, local storage and a sharing of protected real-time sensor data monitored at patients' or people's homes. Our proof-of-concept employs the fully virtualized functionality of a permissioned blockchain and a network of fog computing nodes and utilizes the container orchestration and management system Docker and the MultiChain framework. We investigate some basic performance metrics of our storage-and-sharing approach using a test bed of Raspberry Pi SBCs. Finally, some conclusions on the developed fog computing architecture with its integrated blockchain functionality are discussed and its current limitations are revealed.

This paper reports on the development of a flexible polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) based capacitive force sensor. The force sensor was fabricated by depositing silver (Ag) ink, as electrodes, on a flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) using additive screen-printing process. A dielectric layer was fabricated using PDMS which was prepared by mixing pre-polymer and a curing agent in a 16:1 ratio. The printed Ag electrodes were attached on either side of the PDMS. The capability of the force sensor was demonstrated by investigating its capacitive response towards varying applied forces. It was observed that the capacitance increased from 5.51 pF to 5.90 pF as the force was increased from 0 N (no load) to 10 N. A sensitivity and correlation coefficient of 0.13%N -1 and 0.9958 was calculated for the force sensor.

In this paper, we propose and implement a distributed autonomic manager to maintain service level agreements (SLA) for each application' scenario. The proposed autonomic manager seeks to support SLAs by configuring bandwidth ratios for each application scenario using overlay network before provisioning more computing resources. The most important aspect of the proposed autonomic manager is scalability which allows us to deal with geographically distributed cloud-based applications and large volume of computation. This can be useful in look ahead optimization and when using complex models, such as machine learning. Through experiments on Amazon AWS cloud, we demonstrate the elasticity of the autonomic manager.

Additionally, review of the progress on the associated antenna systems have also been presented.
