In the last years, the enormous advance in wireless technologies and the proliferation of MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical) systems technology have facilitated the development of smart sensors at low cost and low energy consumption. This development has led to a major shift in wireless sensor network (WSN) technology. The wireless sensor network is considered an exciting and economical technology for widespread use in various areas of life, including military, agriculture, environment, medical, and industry, for multiple reasons, such as monitoring, detection, and tracking. However, this type of network poses a range of problems such as security, deployment, architecture, location, and energy consumption. This paper describes the main factors affecting wireless sensor networks. © 2019 ieee.

Analyze the security threats faced by wireless sensors and summarize the causes of security threats. A security protection system for wireless sensor networks is proposed, which adopts “three layers of defense under one center”. Establish a proactive defense system for trusted computing environments, trusted zone boundaries, and trusted communication networks under the management of a trusted security management center; to ensure that the computing environments of wireless sensors, wireless access points, and service servers are trusted, As well as the interconnection between different devices, based on the idea of trusted computing, a trusted enhancement framework for three types of devices is proposed. Finally, the trust transfer model of embedded system is built to provide a basis for the safe start and operation of wireless sensors.

In the era of technology, humankind is now looking for a rapid and prominent solution for day to day problems which can meet the demand and makes life easier. As security is an essential perspective with the end goal to protect our secret belongings, people are looking for an advance, unbreakable and user-friendly solution. However, considering a vault security system, we have to think a step further, as vaults usually used for higher security purposes. Security system using facial recognition, fingerprint scanner, password lock and RFID reader is going popular and common these days because of the availability and trustable security. The main goal is to implement a security system including all of these four sensors in single hardware which is able to provide much stronger security. The system is able to detect multiple human faces and also able to monitor the area continuously using one single camera sensor with the help of real-time video processing using OpenCV method. The system implemented in such a way that anyone who wants to enter the vault has to pass through all of these four (facial recognition, fingerprint, password and RFID scanner) steps. Neither one can be skipped. All the sensors are connected with Raspberry Pi to achieve the goal. © 2019 ieee.

Recognition of activity of daily living (ADL) with ubiquitous sensors has been studied so far, aiming to provide services like automatic life logging, elderly monitoring and energy saving in domestic environments. Although existing studies achieve good accuracy of ADL recognition on average, mis-classification of some activities often occur. In this paper, we try to minimize mis-classification in ADL recognition through reliability assessment of the recognition results obtained by machine learning. Specifically, we propose a novel ADL recognition model which extends the random forest classifier trained by ADL data-set by adding the real time uncertainty propagation of the measured variables to each decision tree providing thus the confidence probability of each output class. This adds to the classifier output a confidence value that holds an important role for many purposes such as decision making, features design to improve the classification rate for some classes, etc. The proposed model classifies the input data samples into activity classes with high confidence probability (e.g., more than 50% confidence) and an unclassifiable class, where higher confidence probability leads to the higher recognition accuracy but higher ratio of unclassifiable samples. Through experiments, we confirmed that the proposed model achieve 75% accuracy with less than 30% unclassifiable samples and 95% accuracy with 50% unclassifiable samples.

Computer vision is a field that handles how a computer can gain a high level of understanding from several kind of inputted information. In general, it tries to automate tasks that humans have the ability to do. Computer vision tasks contain a method to understand digital images and extract high dimensional in order to generate a piece of symbolic information, for example, in the forms of decisions. One of the open issues in image processing and computer vision nowadays is how we can handle the problem of quick identification in a multi-user identification system. In this paper, We propose an identification system in a big data environment that provide and an acceptance identification time while keeping a good performance, in uncontrolled conditions, in comparison with some compared classical systems. © 2019 ieee.

In recent years, many applications which using face identification are developed. However, development load in creation of an application program using the face identification is high because of the tight coupling of each functions and lack of sharability of imaging device. To address this problem, in this research, we propose a new device named "face identification sensor box" which can realize loose coupling of function and high sharability. The proposed device uses cognitive API for face identification and notifies the result to application with Publish/Subscribe messaging model. Using this architecture, face identification results can be shared among with applications and design of application becomes easier.

Measuring forces and torques applied to tools of unconventional shapes can be challenging due to difficulties in connecting commercially available force/torque sensors. We propose an innovative, customizable six-axis force/torque sensor which can be clamped around a tool or end-effector to minimize the proximity between tool tip and sensor structure. The sensor is fabricated using 3d printing technology and consists of two pieces which together form an 8-legged stewart platform. Each leg is designed as a cantilever beam to allow for a measurable displacement under an external load. The displacements of the legs are measured with 8 light intensity-based optoelectronic sensors, which exhibit high sensitivities and low noise levels without the need for external amplification circuitry. A customized printed circuit board and peripheral hardware are proposed to allow for efficient analog-to-digital conversion of the force/torque measurement. A calibration process is proposed which makes use ofa commercial ATI Mini40 sensor and custom hardware to allow for fast calibration routines. Finally, the calibrated sensor design is compared to the ATI Mini40 sensor by measuring sequences of forces and torques, and the maximum errors of force/torque components (F-{x},\ F-{y},\ F-{\mathrm{z}},\ M-{x},\ M-{y},\ M-{\mathrm{z}}) are 16.3%, 20.0%, 27.5%, 20.5%, 21.6%, 14.9% respectively. © 2019 ieee.

Smartphones are now more and more advanced and the recent smartphone generation incorporates many varied and strong sensors like linear or tri-axial, linear or tri-axial gyroscopes, GPS, etc. The accessibility of this sensor in the mass communication systems provides fascinating possibilities in information mining and machine learning;in addition, the human activity recognition a.k.a. HAR generates a fresh study arena. Wireless sensor-based HAR has an important effect on outpatient surveillance illnesses, physical activity, elderly care, sports and physical therapy. In order to detect ten human actions, we want to walk, walking upstairs, walking downstairs, sitting, standing, lying, using toilet, jogging, writing and typing, positioning the smartphone on hand. We gathered information from both the male and female subject while performing the listed tasks from labeled tri-axial accelerometer and tri-axial gyroscope. In order to achieve necessary sensor information, we developed an Android application with a frequency of 1 Hz. Then we used a model known as DNN for the Dense Neural Network to predict the operations of information from gathered sensors and gyroscope. In addition to DNN for operating studies we have also practiced Support Vector Machines, Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbor, Random Forest, Naïve Bayes and Logistical Regression. Our key objective was to examine a comparative analysis with statistical and profound classifiers on male and female subject. We also confirmed that information gathered at reduced frequencies can also perform well. We obtained maximum level of precision of 94.38% and 93.35% for male and female data sets only with DNN model respectively. © 2019 ieee.

In order to solve the instability problems of voltage, power angle and frequency in Xinjiang power grid, Xinjiang power grid is equipped with a large number of security and stability control systems to ensure the stable operation of the power grid. However, the existing stability control system test can not realize the comprehensive test of field operation equipment. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes to use the existing power dispatching data network and 2M communication channel between stations to establish a distributed collaborative test platform for stability control system. The platform is based on the distributed ADPSS (all digital real-time simulation) technology and power communication network, it designs re-mote interface device and field test device. And the platform studies the information transmission mechanism between the distributed ADPSS simulation platform and the field test device, as well as the synchronous test technology between the field test device and other technologies. So as to realize the remote, on-line and closed-loop comprehensive test of the security and stability control system. The platform can effectively improve the standardization of stability control system inspection and joint commissioning, reduce the manpower and material resources involved in joint commissioning and maintenance of cross regional system, and greatly improve the safety and reliability of the stability control system.
