Many wireless sensor network applications must resolve the inherent conflict between energy efficient and nodes of coverage in wireless sensor networks to achieve desired quality of service (QoS). The wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been the main focus in the past few years, and it is becoming a special issue. We study the problem of controlling the node locations and energy within ad-hoc sensor networks. network survivability is a very important measure for deciding the efficiency of network protocols. It includes a measure of the network lifetime as well as the quality of service. In fact, these dynamics are very important in evaluating networks. The wireless network applications can be found in battlefield communication, homeland security, pollution sensing and traffic monitoring. As such, there has been an increasing need for defining and developing simulation frameworks for carrying out high-fidelity WSN simulation. In this cause, we present a simulation by including factors such as energy-consumption, Bandwidth, nodes, and coverage and provides an object-oriented definition of target, sensor and sink nodes, sensor and wireless communication nodes, and physical radio such as relating of nodes, mobility model and power model both energy-producing and energy-consuming components, the simulation was developed using C#.

Wireless sensor networks are the networks comprising of tiny, battery powered sensor nodes having limited processing, storage and radio capabilities. protocols and applications designed for such networks have to be energy aware and energy conserving in order to prolong the lifetime of the network. The paper presents a comparison between the implementation of heterogeneous Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical (LEACH) and Threshold-Sensitive Energy Efficient sensor network (TEEN) protocols in three dimensional spaces of a WSN. The reason behind 3D space, instead of 2D plane is its feasible and practical equivalence to the real world.

In this work we propose to implement some innovative wearable technologies to manage safe interaction between astronauts and robots for specific dangerous tasks of maintenance such as those spent in long extra-vehicular activities. In particular, among the different technologies used in terrestrial applications of human machine interface, we analyse the possibility to adopt high sensitive device based on strain gauges that can be deployed inside the astronaut suite, guaranteeing a high level of comfort and a real-time monitoring of the movements of the worker. Moreover, flexible electronics is proposed as ad hoc technology to integrate part of the electronics inside the wearable smart garments. Finally, wireless communication with high redundant protocols and wireless sensor network are taken into account in order to favour a continuous dialogue between the two parts.

In this paper we invoke a new approach for the multi-objective routing problems in Wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Our approach improves more than one single Quality of Services (QoS) exigency such as energy consumption and delay. However, the classical routing protocols in conventional network optimize a single objective or QoS parameters. The proposed approach adapted a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA), specifically, the improved strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm (SPEA2) in order to improve the QoS in WSNs. Our simulation results show that the SPEA2 algorithms are efficient in solving routing problems and are capable of finding the Pareto optimal Set. Additionally, we demonstrate that this approach provides better trade-off solutions in comparison to the classical routing protocols.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a collection of mobile or fixed sensor nodes, where sensor nodes can communicate with each other or the base station (BS) to transmit the necessary information for different applications. The energy of the nodes is constrained and non-replaceable, which leads to design energy efficient protocols to extend the lifetime of WSN, such as the well-known Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol and the improved LEACH protocols. In this paper, LEACH, LEACH-C, TEEN and DEEC are simulated and compared to figure out the suitable application environment for them. Simulation is divided into two parts. The first part of simulation focuses on the discussion of the best percentage of nodes selected to be the cluster-heads. In addition, the location of BS inside or outside of the network has significant influence on the performances of different protocols. The second part of the simulation shows the performances of the number of sensors still alive, number of data signals received by BS and total energy dissipation in four different protocols.

So far, cloud storage has been accepted by an increasing number of people, which is not a fresh notion any more. It brings cloud users a lot of conveniences, such as the relief of local storage and location independent access. Nevertheless, the correctness and completeness as well as the privacy of outsourced data are what worry could users. As a result, most people are unwilling to store data in the cloud, in case that the sensitive information concerning something important is disclosed. Only when people feel worry-free, can they accept cloud storage more easily. Certainly, many experts have taken this problem into consideration, and tried to solve it. In this paper, we survey the solutions to the problems concerning auditing in cloud computing and give a comparison of them. The methods and performances as well as the pros and cons are discussed for the state-of-the-art auditing protocols.

ZigBee is a wireless standard based on ieee 802.15.4 specification for a set of communication protocols. It is intended for remote control and sensor applications. ZigRee is designed to use low power digital radio signals for personal area networks which require secure networking. The use of the ZigRee protocol accommodates and facilitates for carrying out secure communications, ciphering frames and controlling devices, protecting establishment and transport of cryptographic keys. This paper presents a security enhancement technique for ZigBee by modifying the MAC layer. This work also serves enhanced security processing in network and Application layer of ZigBee protocol. The improved security mechanism of network and Application layer has been developed using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and proxy firewall techniques respectively. Riverbed v17.5 is used to simulate and scrutinize different ZigBee layers to enrich security. The result of this study provides reliable and stable ZigBee protocol scheme to end users. Furthermore, the paper shows security adoption in MAC, network, and Application layers of ineligible nodes, packets, and data blocks. The benefits of the work include end-to-end security with confidentiality, data packet integrity, message and device authentication.
