Facial recognition technology has garnered significant attention recently as a potential solution for attendance management in educational institutions and companies. This study proposes a facial recognition attendance system designed to address limitations of existing systems and navigate the ethical and legal considerations associated with the technology. To ensure accuracy, security, and user acceptance, the proposed system integrates advanced facial recognition algorithms, strict data protection protocols, and intuitive interfaces. The methodology encompasses a thorough literature review, primary data collection through surveys and interviews, system design, testing, and data analysis to evaluate the feasibility, efficacy, and ethical implications of deploying facial recognition for attendance tracking. The experimental setup includes cameras, laptops, servers, facial recognition algorithms, attendance management software, and a diverse collection of facial images. Analysis of the collected data aims to assess the system’s accuracy and effectiveness. The study’s findings will offer insights into the potential benefits and challenges of adopting facial recognition technology for attendance management in educational and corporate settings, along with recommendations for future research and implementation.

Integration of renewable energy sources and load create challenges of economical operation of the grid at the same time power quality issues also arises. To minimize the challenges of power quality disturbances numerous research has been conducted. However very little focus is given to voltage deviation and reactive power control. Both the issue of voltage and reactive power are interdependent need to be address by a common tool. The volt-var control(VVC) concept has been adopted in existing literature which has been thoroughly addressed in this review paper. The principal goal of this study is to examine and compare existing and new approaches and algorithms for advanced VVC applications. Further, it gives the reader a thorough overview of the optimization techniques as well as objective in terms of reduction of loss, voltage deviation, energy demand reduction and minimum control variable operation.

This paper presents the development of two independent control algorithms for an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). It is a mitigation tool to mitigate power interruption. The UPS circuit consists of a bidirectional buck-boost DC-DC converter, a rechargeable battery and a DC-AC/AC-DC converter. The bidirectional DC-DC converter has a function of charging (buck) or discharging (boost) the battery for maintaining DC-link voltage connected to the DC-AC/AC-DC converter. During the normal mode operation, the DC-AC/AC-DC converter supplies voltage to the bidirectional converter by performing AC to DC conversion. Instead, during the backup mode, the converter supplies voltage to the load by performing DC to AC conversion. In this work, a single-loop voltage control algorithm regulates the bidirectional converter. For the DC-AC/AC-DC converter, a multi-loop control algorithm regulates the output current using the inner loop and the output voltage using the outer loop. MATLAB/Simulink simulates the UPS to determine its performance during normal and backup mode operation. From the simulation results, both independent control algorithms can regulate the operation of both converters during both modes of operation. As a result, the UPS system is capable of supplying sinusoidal waveforms with low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of output current and output voltage. Purpose: Taking the population of Henan Provincial People's Hospital Chronic Disease control Center from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020 who came to the hospital for physical examination as the research object, analyze and explore the role and contribution of physical activity level in the prediction of hypertension by using the LstM network model, which can provide references for the clinical diagnosis of hypertension. Methods: Randomly select 2000 physical examination data, remove missing and invalid data, and preprocess them. Finally, select factors such as gender, age, body mass index, weight grade, waist-to-hip ratio, physical activity level, body fat percentage and other factors to establish a neural network prediction model. Then test and study the model, focusing on exploring the contribution of physical activity level to prediction. Result: The level of physical activity has certain advantages in predicting the prevalence of hypertension, but the predictive ability in the later stage is insufficient © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The federated ecology provides a new paradigm for breaking the isolated data island problem and fully activating the potential of big data and artificial intelligence, especially in multi-client collaboration tasks. Participant selection strategy in multi-client collaboration is the main limitation for increasing the convergence speed and lowing the communication costs. However, in the face of the unbalanced and non-IID data distributions, the performance of federated optimization algorithms will also decrease. To solve the above problems, we propose an adaptive federated control strategy for participant selection in multi-client collaboration based on the Mann-Kendall test, named FedMK. By adaptively selecting weak participants for training rather than random selection, FedMK can speed up model convergence and reduce communication costs. Experiment results show that our method outperforms the baseline method in non-IID scenarios, and the number of communication rounds on CIFAR-10 and synthetic datasets reduced by more than 15% and 10 %, 9 respectively. © 2021 IEEE.

The application of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) in wireless mobile communication is evolving as an instinctive preference due to its ability to support high mobility, high scalability and very low administration or maintenance cost, which are the essential characteristics of advanced wireless mobile communications. The Quality of Service (QoS) or efficiency of the MANETs lies in the performance of the routing protocols used. In this paper, we have presented a survey on the performance of different routing protocols under Transmission control Protocol (TCP) congestion control algorithms. Our objective is to study the performance of the routing protocols in absence or presence of the TCP congestion control algorithms from existing literature. © 2020 IEEE.

Aiming at the problems of low efficiency, difficult debugging and poor reusability of program in developing vision program by using text editing, a graphical program development technology is developed for vision program development. In this paper, the image processing algorithms and functions in the OpenCV vision library are studied and encapsulated according to the IEC61131-3 Function block specification. The interface model and program model of vision Function block are established. According to these two models, the vision Function block interface and the vision Function block program are described by using XML language, and the programming specification and instruction set of the vision Function block are established. The editing and compiling algorithm of the Function block program is researched to realize the configuration development environment and operate environment of the vision Function block program by using C plus plus language. Nowadays, the use of renewable energy including wind energy has increased dramatically. Thanks to the wind energy conversion systems which are more sophisticated, and the demand for new techniques and algorithms to improve the control of wind turbines;using modern or classical approaches. To optimize the efficiency of the wind turbine, the latter should vary its rotational speed in real-time to follow the instantaneous variation in wind speed. The paper proposes an intelligent controller which is based on advanced RBF-NN approach, for torque control of doubly fed induction generator based wind turbine during all value of wind speed. The ultimate objective is to maximize output power for this system. For this, the online training RBF regulator approximates the torque of the generator in according to maximum power of the wind turbine at a given wind speed. This method is analytically compared with optimal torque controller to demonstrate the relevance of this controller, illustrate maximum power point tracking and good accuracy. Uniform asymptotic stability of the tracking error origin, is analyzed via Lyapunov method. © 2020 IEEE.

The high-precision micro-infusion automatic control system is an automatic infusion system that replaces manual infusion which solves the risk that the traditional infusion volume and speed cannot be controlled. By analyzing the system composition and configuration, it is determined that the system actuator belongs to the field of multi-body mechanics. After analysis of the system mechanics model, it is ensured that the mechanical performance of the designed system's actuator meets the requirements. At the same time, the motor control method of subdivision drive and closed-loop control used in the design is described in detail, and the dynamic characteristics of the system are simulated and analyzed. High-precision and reliability control ensure that the medicine can enter the patient's body uniformly, accurately and safely, and meet the design requirements. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
