This study proposes a novel Hybrid Fuzzy Deep Neural Network (HFDNN) for recognizing complex hand movements using electromyography (EMG) signals. The system integrates fuzzy logic for managing uncertainty with deep neural networks (DNNs) for learning spatial and temporal features of EMG signals. Six hand movements, including lifting heavy and light objects, grasping pen-like and card-like objects, making a fist, and opening the hand, were analyzed. EMG signals were preprocessed using a band-pass filter and normalized, followed by feature extraction through short-time Fourier transform (stFT) to generate time-frequency representations as input to the HFDNN. The proposed model achieved a classification accuracy of 96.8%, with precision, recall, and F1-scores averaging 95.7%, 97.2%, and 96.3%, respectively. Compared to traditional CNN, RNN, and hybrid CNN-RNN models, the HFDNN demonstrated superior performance, validated through statistical significance testing (p > 0.01). The inclusion of fuzzy rules enhanced decision-making, particularly for overlapping classes. This work underscores the efficacy of hybrid approaches in capturing the intricacies of hand movement signals, paving the way for advancements in prosthetics control and rehabilitation. Comparative analysis with recent studies highlights the proposed methods robustness and potential for real-world applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Bone fracture is a common issue these days and therefore, evaluating the process of healing plays a crucial role in orthopedics. The healing process is usually evaluated by radiography which not only is dangerous but also is time-consuming and costly. This study evaluates the feasibility of using electrical bioimpedance spectroscopy for both bone fracture detection and healing process monitoring in order to overcome the traditional radiography methods' challenges. A biological tissue along with different layers was modelled using COMSOL software. Firstly, the functionality of impedance spectroscopy was assessed for the evaluating the healing process, and then other factors such as the depth of the bone were investigated. Our results have demonstrated that as the bone experiences fractures, the impedance values fall significantly due to the accumulation of fluids, including blood in the fracture site. © 2025 IEEE.

This study presents the design and simulation of a bioimpedance sensor aimed at measuring the electrical properties of blood during the hemodialysis process. Utilizing two configurations - 4-electrode washer and Van der Pauw - the simulations were conducted in the COMSOL environment using the finite element method. Performance accuracy was evaluated against data from Gabriel et al., with results analyzed in MATLAB, including Nyquist curve examination under various conditions. The findings indicate that for the 4-electrode washer method, optimal sensor performance occurs when the current injection radius matches the voltage reading radius;however, this configuration presents construction challenges. Conversely, the 4-electrode Van der Pauw method demonstrated that the radius of the electrodes significantly impacts sensor evaluation and performance. By optimizing electrode dimensions, a compact sensor design can be developed, potentially enhancing the quality of dialysis machines and improving patient outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

The decentralized architecture of blockchain tech-nology introduces various challenges, particularly in Proof of stake (PoS) networks, where malicious nodes can undermine the consensus process and threaten the integrity of the network. Nodes with significant stakes may disproportionately influence validation, weakening the network's decentralization. Despite ongoing advancements in blockchain security, there remains a notable gap in research on the integration of artificial intelli-gence (AI) and optimization techniques for enhancing blockchain security. This paper proposes an approach, utilizing a CatBoost classifier optimized with a modified Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, designed specifically for this study. A compar-ative analysis, performed on a real-world dataset, demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method, with the most accurate models achieving an accuracy of 87.13%. The findings highlight the potential of AI -driven optimization in improving blockchain security. Future research will focus on the application of AI and optimization techniques to further refine blockchain protocols, enhance detection and prevention of security threats, and improve overall network performance. © 2025 IEEE.
