In recent years, distributed energy resources (DERs) have gained significance as a way of introducing a substantial quantity of renewable energy sources (RESs) into power grids. Wind turbines are accessible in windy areas, giving wind energy systems (WES) a realistic alternative for clients. This work attempts to increase the effectiveness and adaptability of WES by presenting a novel way of managing DC-DC buck-boost converters. The suggested method combines an internet of Things (IoT) system for monitoring with supervised learning algorithms to make energy conversion more stable, efficient, and able to adapt in real time to changing wind conditions. In this research, creating a reliable supervised learning control method is the primary goal. The second goal is to optimize the most important parameters of the converter. Using the new supervised learning algorithm, the study changes variables like duty cycle, switching frequency, and inductance to get the best results based on past performance data and how the system is working now. It investigates the influence of these parameters on overall system efficiency and stability. The incorporation of an IoT monitoring system into the WES is an essential component of the study. Various sensors monitor variables such as wind speed, converter input and output voltages, and currents in real-time and are shown as results. © 2024 IEEE.

As time goes on and technology gets better, various data-sharing technologies are becoming more and more integrated into many different businesses. Therefore, data exchange and security are crucial for the data's value to be realized. Nevertheless, it is challenging to verify the authenticity of a basic data sharing method in order to detect electronic data usage traces. An further difficulty is the reluctance of data suppliers to provide their data. Employing Blockchain's distributed ledger, smart contract, data trust, and traceability features. For the purpose of facilitating secure access to data, this study introduces a blockchain-based data-sharing architecture that optimizes to circumvent the security and control issues associated with traditional centralized data sharing and administration. In addition, the research evaluates the practicality and safety of the prototype. Furthermore, this paper proposes a Secured Data Management Scheme (SDMS) that utilizes blockchain technology to optimize data sharing efficiency. To assess the efficacy of this model, it is cross-validated with the conventional Data Privacy Handler (DPH) method. While present centralized security solutions fail to meet security requirements in an IoT setting, blockchain technology provides a decentralized solution. Through the use of a blockchain and a WiFi-enabled network model, this article seeks to offer a secure communication framework for internet of Things (IoT) devices. According to the results, attitudes and character quirks have a role in how the intelligence community plans to use a blockchain-based data-sharing model for integrating systems. This research demonstrated the viability of using blockchain technology in an intelligence community-centric data-sharing strategy. © 2024 IEEE.

Fog computing models consist of a cloud-like platform that possesses different layers like application services, data, storage, and computation. Fog computing and cloud computing were considered similar in multiple aspects although the cloud operates as a centralized infrastructure whereas Fog computing is a distributed decentralized system. With Fog systems a large amount of data can be processed and operated through the on-premise equipment. Fog systems can be installed on heterogeneous hardware. It is indispensable to have internet of Things (IoT) devices with rapid processing and transmitting capabilities. Several security issues about monitoring, data, malware, segregation, virtualization, and network are intensified by this broad range of functionality-driven applications. This survey focuses on the modern applications of Fog computing to identify the research gaps in terms of security. Technologies such as Micro-data centers and Cloudlets have also been analyzed in this work. Many of the applications of Fog computing overlook the aspect of security and more attention is given only to the improved functionality. The internet is a vast system of interconnected networks that provide a variety of services. More than a million people join the World Wide Webs every day, making it a powerful force. Approximately 70% of businesses are considering making the switch to cloud services due to the many benefits and pay-as-you-go structure of cloud computing. DoS attacks, which interrupt internet services, are a common kind of cybercrime. distributed DoS assaults (or DDoS for short) happen when the same DoS comes in from several different places at once. DoS severely destroys the availability limitation of online services, hence early detection is crucial. The DoS attack type known as TCPSYN causes the TCP protocol's connection setup procedure to fail, leading to partially open connections. TCP-SYN is used to force a web server to crash by using up all of its resources. Despite ongoing efforts at repair, attacks against TCP-SYN continue to increase in frequency and sophistication. Therefore, in today's digital environment, it is envisaged that the solution would completely mitigate such threats. A multi-level detection strategy that integrates SNMP and incoming request analysis is offered as a means to early detection and cost-effectiveness. The basic goal of SNMP is to achieve maximum effectiveness in distinguishing TCP-SYN from valid traffic in a shorter time span. Using the SNMP Management Information Base (MIB) variables, a TCP-SYN attack may be spotted in two stages. Theoretical validation is used to determine which MIBs should be used, and feature selection approaches have been verified using the prediction and accuracy metrics of linear regression. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud computing, the fastest-growing IT technology, offers flexibility and scalability with pay-per-use models, but it raises concerns about data security due to third-party storage and online accessibility. Effective cloud security measures are crucial for protecting user data. The internet of Things (IoT) generates enormous amounts of data that must be efficiently processed and stored in the cloud. Blockchain technology enhances data security through its tamper-resistant distributed ledger and peer-to-peer networks, which allow any node with internet access to join or create networks. To protect sensitive data and maintain its integrity, it is crucial to implement robust encryption, privacy safeguards, access controls, identity management and confidentiality in both cloud and decentralized systems.

Due to the anticipated rise of the IoT, in which sensors and actuators interact autonomously to provide various forms of smart services, there has been a surge in the demand for embedded devices. The expansion of internet of Things (IoT) applications now relies heavily on fog computing. However, a DDoS assault on a mining pool in 2017 revealed serious vulnerabilities in the blockchain-enabled IoT. The banking sector is especially vulnerable because of the high pecuniary charge of the data it possesses. As banks increase their digital imprints, so does the attack surface for cybercriminals. This paper's goal is to identify Banking Dataset-based DDOS attacks against banking institutions. In order to upsurge the reliability of the categorization results, this study pre-processes the data. Then, the hybrid model known as an Improved Convolutional Neural Network is fed the extracted features as an input. Using a randomised parametric rectified linear unit (RPReLU) function, this network is constructed. In contrast, the low learning efficiency that results from the standard dropout procedure's zero-setting operation of weights is due to its random nature and its inability to differentiate among features with varying weights. In order to boost the manual orientation and the learning efficiency of the dropout process, this study presents a new dropout approach based on a support vector machine (SVM) and calls it RSCNN. Using the Sandpiper Optimisation algorithm (SOA), the suggested representation's weights are chosen optimally. The experimental consequences demonstrate that the suggested model has a high degree of accuracy (94.66%), precision (95.5%), sensitivity (0.95), and F-score (0.95). The RSCNN-SOA has been found to be more stable than standard methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Cybersecurity Mesh Architecture (CSMA) is a promising new approach to cybersecurity that has the potential to improve network and information security. As networks become more complex and widespread, detecting and responding to threats has become more difficult. It has also led to security creep that leads to complexity of management, fragmentation of visibility, and limits organizations ability to respond effectively to threats. These and similar challenges have made integration with CSMA a necessity for today's organizations. The cybersecurity mesh can be viewed as centralizing security management and distributing the application of this management, but in some completely distributed networks, such as the internet of Things (IoT), Cloud computing, Edge computing, Big Data, etc., the cybersecurity mesh is not compatible with them because it applies the principle of central management. Therefore, the researchers propose, in this paper, to change the cybersecurity mesh architecture. The cybersecurity mesh will be completely distributed using blockchain technology, where the network security infrastructure will first be changed to the blockchain network. After that, blockchain technology will be integrated into each layer of the proposed cybersecurity mesh. Finally, the proposed architecture will be evaluated by ensuring complete distribution and the expected security provided by the cybersecurity mesh.

distributed ledgers based on decentralization are promising technologies to reliably and securely distribute data. Nodes in Blockchain can create a block that contains several transactions through consensus algorithms and is linked to the previous block using hash computation. It is expected to be integrated with smart technologies, such as the internet of Things (IoT) to store and process data from sensors. However, IoT devices are resource-constrained embedded micro-controllers, which cannot handle the current Blockchain ledgers of high huge storage need, as well as the extensive tasks of consensus algorithms (e.g., Proof of Work). To remove centralization and to improve the linear structure, this paper proposes a new low latency distributed algorithm titled Proof of Good Service based on Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs)-to-Blockchain structure (PoGSDB). It is organized in 5 horizontal layers in permissioned mode with different features, namely: Common, Committee, Fog, Queen, and Cloud. A limited number of common, committee, and fog nodes are grouped. Each group has its DAG (named Cobweb ledger) based on uniform distribution. Common nodes send authenticated data with the public key to Committee. The latter receives and broadcasts it to its neighbors, then each node chooses a random number as a counter and autodecrement it. The winner node is the fastest committee node that reaches zero. The committee nodes rate the winner based on its speed and availability (rate scores from 1 to 5). Every stipulated time, the Cobweb ledger is selected from each group by fog node to send it with authentication to Cloud through the internet. The cloud leader adds each Cobweb ledger to blocks after check the authentication and authorization. The rest nodes will rate the leader as in committee. Highway congestion is a major obstacle to Saudi Arabia’s modernization and economic diversification initiatives. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) have recently become a practical investment choice. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET) allow for transportation system enhancements. In addition, the technology to harness solar power can be considered a viable renewable energy option. Since photovoltaic (PV) panels can produce electricity at scales ranging from microwatts to megawatts; they represent a promising option. Besides, academics and business executives have recently received more attention to distributed computing paradigms. As a result, implementing ITS in KSA necessitates using green technology and distributed computing methods. Therefore, the primary goal of this research is to present a standard design for an internet of Things (IoT)- Fog computing-based PV system, including Solar photovoltaic panels, batteries, an MPPT charger, LED drivers, a microcontroller (MCU), IoT devices, and distributed computing approaches.
