One of the cornerstones of the future generation of computing is cloud computing, a form of internet-based computing. It allows for the instantaneous allocation of internet-accessible resources whenever they are needed. Services such as software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) are made available to people and businesses through cloud computing. By giving customers a low-cost, scalable, and financially-independent place to store their data, cloud storage services have seen rapid revenue growth in recent years. An interoperable cloud computing system is built on open architectures and interfaces that support both private and public cloud services. Many businesses today are making the switch to the cloud because of the numerous advantages it offers in terms of data storage, retrieval, management, and availability. While cloud computing is receiving a lot of attention, it is imperative that security problems be addressed first. This study proposes a crypto-stegno mechanism in the cloud as a solution to cloud security problems. This study proposes a practical method for ensuring data privacy and security in cloud storage. In order to obtain their own public and private key, users must first register their information in the cloud and come up with a unique username and password. Cryptography, a means of concealing information and sending information in an unreadable format, is employed in the next level of security. Secure data transmission and storage on the web, electronic commerce, digital media privacy, and ATM transfer are all dependent on cryptography to some degree. Repudiation, integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality are all possible using today's cryptographic methods. Signcryption is a lightweight cryptographic system that combines encryption and signatures in a logical way to achieve higher security with less computing time. © 2023 IEEE.

The healthcare industry is one of the domains where the internet of Things (IoT) has made the global impact. By intelligently integrating applications into medical devices, IoT enables the provision of smart and efficient healthcare facilities. Through such sensors, which can be either surgically placed or worn on the body, patients can be monitored continually using the advanced technologies. Such data collection allows for the analysis, mining, and aggregation of information to facilitate early disease prediction. Sophisticated remote health monitoring systems have been developed due to the availability of cheap smart phones and wearable sensors. Even if doctors/pharmacists are unavailable, such health monitoring IoT solutions can be helpful in disease prevention/management and accurate patient diagnosis. In this paper, a novel IoT-based wireless remote health monitoring system for a patient in an indoor environment is presented for monitoring continuous patient vital sign data like temperature and pulse. The collected data is stored on an IoT platform so that only the authorised person can obtain the data. This makes it possible for the doctors to diagnose conditions from the information that has been collected, and this improves the chances of offering effective care at the right time. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this evaluation paper is to provide an overview of the current state of the art research on the implementation of optimization techniques in edge computing for smart hospitals, with a focus on the integration of Industry 4.0 concepts, ant colony optimization algorithms, and internet of Things (IoT) devices. The paper begins by providing a background on the concept of edge computing and its potential in the healthcare industry, followed by a discussion of the current challenges and limitations in implementing edge computing in smart hospitals. The main body of the paper reviews recent studies that have applied optimization techniques, such as ant colony optimization, to various aspects of hospital operations, including resource allocation, patient scheduling, and facility management. The paper also examines the use of IoT devices and sensors to collect real-Time data from the hospital environment, which is then processed by the edge computing system to optimize operations. The review concludes with an assessment of the current state of research in this field, highlighting areas of progress and opportunities for future research. Overall, this paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the use of optimization techniques in edge computing for smart hospitals, and demonstrates the potential of Industry 4.0 concepts, ant colony optimization, and IoT in revolutionizing the healthcare industry. © 2023 IEEE.

The collecting and exchange of information without human intervention will soon be possible thanks to the internet of Things. Numerous conflicts with IOT technology are emerging due to the fast increase in connected devices, including those related to diversity, expansibility, service quality, security requirements, and many more. IOT technology has advanced as a result oftechnological developments like machine learning. To reduce learning difficulty by computing features, factor selection, also called feature selection, is crucial, especially for a large, huge data set like network traffic. Despite the ease of the new selection approaches, it is actually not an easy task to do feature selection properly. The internet of Things will soon make it feasible to gather and transmit information without human involvement. Due to the rapid growth in connected devices, a number of conflicts with IOT technologies are arising. These conflicts include those involving diversity, expansibility, quality of service, security needs, and many more. As a consequence of technical advancements like machine learning, IOT technology has improved. Factor selection, also known as feature selection, is essential to lessen the complexity of learning by computing features, especially for a massive, enormous data set like internet traffic. Even though the new selection methods are simple, selecting features correctly is a difficult undertaking. Systems that detect and prevent intrusions are the most popular technology for spotting suspicious behaviour and defending diverse infrastructures against network intrusions (IDPSs). On the UNSW (University of New South Wales) -NBl5 data set, our suggested logistic regression algorithm makes predictions of anomalies with an accuracy of 98% using the automated feature selection approach since the accuracy of the model depends on the feature. The dimensionality reduction approach is used to reduce the misleading data. © 2023 IEEE.

The internet of Everything, or the Industrial internet, or the internet of Things (IoT) is a cutting-edge technical idea that aims to create a worldwide network of seamlessly interacting machines and gadgets. IoT is receiving a lot of attention from a variety of sectors and is widely recognized as a key component of future technology. The effective deployment of IoT-based goods and services depends on the use of five essential IoT technologies, which are highlighted in this article. Additionally, it looks at three different types of IoT applications for businesses that increase the value of their customers. The essay also explores how the real option approach and the net present value method, which are frequently used to support technological initiatives, are applied, showing how the latter may be used to good advantage in internet of Things investments. In addition, the paper discusses five major technical and managerial challenges. It highlights the convergence of Cloud and IoT in particular, pointing out that previous research has frequently looked at Cloud and IoT separately, concentrating on their core traits, features, underlying technologies, and open problems. However, there is a noticeable lack of in-depth analysis regarding the emerging CloudIoT paradigm, which brings with it new applications, difficulties, and research areas. To fill this gap, this paper provides an extensive overview of the integration of Cloud and IoT. © 2024 IEEE.

Social internet of Things is the rising contemporary of computer science and information technology. It combines the concept of a social network with the internet of Things and improves distributed object discovery, selection, composition of services and information. Searching for services in the SIoT is based on the use of the social structure formed by the generation of relationships between the devices. Since SIoT has wide applications, security will have the greatest impact on IoT adoption. However, SIoT lacks a security model for its applications, where each device generates data. Thus in this work, a security model is proposed that considers the relationship between devices and generates relationship keys. The standard 256-bit Advanced Encryption standard algorithm is implemented along with a relationship key to perform encryption and decryption on the data generated.

The infrastructure of a smart city is built on the basis of high technology. However, due to limitations in processing power, power supplies, memory, etc. smart devices used in smart city environments often make extensive use of cloud technology services. This technology is considered a promising solution to provide end users with a variety of resources at a lower cost. Therefore, cloud technologies with high computing power and memory are considered an effective solution for data processing. Although cloud technology is an effective technology for processing and storing generated data, existing applications have limitations due to real-time or latency usage. However, issues like limited network bandwidth cannot be addressed by cloud technologies alone. Considering the above, intermediate computing systems are currently widely used for the initial processing of data collected from sensors in a smart city environment. In this regard, in addition to cloud technologies, a new computing model known as fog computing has been introduced. Fog computing technology is a new concept that offers an adequate solution for smart cities. Fog computing technology has been proposed as an alternative solution to support geographically distributed applications and reduce the load on data centers and networks in traditional cloud systems. To this end, the article examines the application of fog computing technology in a smart city environment. The advantages, architecture, and areas of application of fog computing technology in a smart city environment are analyzed. Nowadays, the use of IoT devices is widely standardised in different areas of our lives, from work, home, educational institutions, etc. Such amount of sensing data needs to be controlled in an efficient way, and FOG computing is one of the most used paradigms in this kind of environments, due to its ability to solve the computational needs of data generating devices, reducing the traffic between them and decentralising the data processing. Due to the constant growth of IoT environments, the FOG layer must be able to configure and scale as the infrastructure grows, adapting to the new computational requirements of the environment. These operations are still performed manually by system administrators, resulting in an inefficient and error-prone practice. This work proposes the design and development of a FOG layer capable of dynamically controlling the configuration of the logical components of the layer, providing the infrastructure with new nodes, a coordinator and a balancer, alongside the existing FOG processor nodes. The coordinator node balances the load distribution for the processor nodes, while the balancer will perform the load distribution under the coordinator's guidelines. This proposal automates the operation of IoT infrastructures, provisioning with the minimum resources to cover the computational needs. To validate the proposal, the model has been deployed on the campus of the University of Alicante as a FOG layer of the sensorisation system.

'Cloud computing' refers to a broad range of computer ideas that include several PCs linked by a real-time transmission network, such the internet. Cloud computing is a new paradigm that has drawn a lot of attention from researchers recently due to its potential to lower computing expenses. This study compares RSA, AES, and a technique that combines both of them. The effectiveness of these methods is examined in relation to encryption and decryption times for various data set sizes. The experiment was designed to be replicable and was conducted on standardised devices using the Mathematical writing and analysis tool, which is based on the Wolfram Language. In this experiment, encryption and decryption speeds were tested and compared for data sizes ranging from 64 to 176 bytes. As a second indicator of the algorithms' performance, the number of iterations each algorithm completed was also counted. The results demonstrate that AES had the fastest encryption and decryption times, and that the hybrid model had the greatest features of both RSA and AES in terms of speed and security. With encryption times of 0.10 ms and 0.20 ms for 64-byte and 176-byte data, respectively, the hybrid approach provided a balanced performance. AES outperformed RSA in throughput by up to 4 times and the hybrid technique by up to 2 times. According to these results, the hybrid technique successfully strikes a balance between speed and security, even though AES is best for speed. © 2025 IEEE.

As a new form of technology, blockchain has much to offer. The technology has a wide range of potential uses and advancements, depending on the field of application. However, further study is required to realise the potential of advanced technologies like Blockchain and smart contracts. There is a lot of potential for investigation because the technology is so new. This research looked at the origins of the Blockchain and analysed several different blockchain solutions. Ethereum was discovered to be the most often used platform for constructing distributed apps after being compared to other platforms. Therefore, a distributed smart energy microgrid application will be built on the Ethereum platform. There is a coin, or token, exclusive to each blockchain platform. Bitcoin's relationship to other cryptocurrencies was measured using the Karl Pearson correlation coefficient. The research concludes that ether's price is most sensitive to changes in the price of bitcoin. On a preferred Ethereum network, a distributed application for managing smart microgrids has been built. The smart contract constitutes the heart of this programme. As a result, we also take care of the smart contract's layout, coding, and optimization. In comparison to the original, less GAS is consumed by this smart contract. The entire distributed app has been built and thoroughly tested. Smart Energy Microgrid distributed Application framework results demonstrate that the application functioned as expected. © 2023 IEEE.
