Over the last several decades, the IoT and WSN have seen a fast proliferation, which has resulted in astonishing innovation and integrated possibilities. Since the developments in networking technology and nanodevices, the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 has further increased connection. Due to this change, it becomes easier to connect a greater variety of devices to servers. The growing interconnectedness has resulted in challenges in effectively managing and evaluating the massively generated data across all levels of IoT. Considering the massive IoT devices and their tiny size, the demand of comprehensive security management is especially significant for these devices. In IoT layered design, the network layer is of utmost significance in terms of assuring security. This layer is responsible for storing routing information and carrying out choices that match to specific routing information. Among the several security assaults that are being handled, the sinkhole attack is one that is commonly observed and poses a considerable problem. In this study, the ramifications of the sinkhole attack on IoT are investigated in detail, and the effect of the attack is meticulously analyzed. In addition to this, it introduces a unique mitigation method that is specially built to effectively combat threats of this kind. To conduct comprehensive simulations, the study makes use of MATLAB v9. This has made it possible to evaluate the throughput of the network as well as the End-to-End delay and network lifetime. © 2024 IEEE.

Mobile edge computing (MEC) and blockchain technology are two rapidly evolving areas in computer science that have the potential to significantly impact the design and operation of distributed systems. MEC involves the deployment of computing resources and services at the edge of the network, closer to the end users, enabling lowlatency, high-bandwidth applications such as augmented reality and machine learning. Blockchain technology, on the other hand, is a distributed database that allows for secure, transparent, and immutable record-keeping, with potential applications in a wide range of industries. In this project, we explore the integration of MEC and blockchain technology for the management of distributed computing resources at the edge of the network. We review the state of the art in these two areas, including existing projects and prototypes, and describe our materials and method for evaluating their potential for integration. Our results show that the combination of MEC and blockchain has the potential to enable new applications and services that require both low latency and secure, decentralized data management. We conclude by summarizing the main contributions of our work and discussing future directions for research in this area. Our findings have implications for the design and operation of distributed systems, and have the potential to enable new applications and services in a wide range of industries. © 2023 IEEE.

A novel technique called PDF-to-AI Chatbot makes it easier to transform static, textbook-based PDF texts into dynamic, interactive chatbot discussions. The necessity to transform conventional PDF papers into interesting, stoner- friendly forms is addressed by this outcome in a world where information communication is becoming less computerized and conversational. The key characteristics and advantages of the PDF-to-AI Chatbot are outlined in this abstract. Essential elements: Converting Documents This technology turns PDF texts into chatbot discourses by utilizing cutting-edge natural language processing and artificial intelligence. It preserves the integrity of the original material while identifying important information and creating conversational patterns. Interaction stoners may easily access relevant portions and acknowledge interpretations thanks to the engaging and welcoming chatbot discussions. Individualization A more personalized and interesting reading experience is produced by the chatbot, which adjusts to stoner tastes and offers personalized recommendations based on stoner relationships. Availability on Multiple Platforms The PDF-to-AI Chatbot adds widespread availability and stoner ease by being available on vibrant digital platforms like as websites, mobile applications, and messaging services. To facilitate content optimization and data-driven decision-making, directors may aggregate perceptivity into stoner gestures and preferences, and hunters and analytics druggies can look for particular- information within papers. In summary, the PDF-to-AI Chatbot, in summary, is a significant development in the fields of document conversion and content availability. A novel method for monitoring and controlling humidity levels in smart hospital settings by means of the internet of Things (IoT). To maximize patient comfort and infection control measures, IoT device connection allows for real-time humidity level monitoring and modification. Improving the system's responsiveness to humidity data is possible with the use of the k-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm. Machine learning (ML) method, the system can forecast the ideal relative humidity from past data and present weather. A major factor in preventing the spread of infectious diseases in healthcare facilities is keeping the relative humidity at an optimal level. The general health and success of the healing process depend on the patient's level of comfort. The proposed IoT system for smart hospital humidity management considers medical and patient needs. The system's capacity to dynamically adjust humidity levels based on data improves infection control and patient satisfaction. © 2024 IEEE.

The wide utilization of smart devices and enormous weakness of security in networks has maximized a count of cyber-attacks in internet of Things (IoT). The detection and classification of malicious traffic is essential for ensuring a security of system in IoT. For detecting and classifying the vulnerable threats in IoT, proposed a Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) based Improved Least Square - Support Vector Machine (ILS-SVM). The proposed algorithm provided high classification accuracy and detection rate with NSL-KDD dataset. The data are pre-processed by checking the missing values and normalization of data. Then the features are selected by using PCC and the selected features are classified by ILS-SVM method with high detection rate. The metrics taken for evaluating the proposed algorithm are accuracy, detection rate, precision and f1-score. The proposed PCC algorithm achieved 99.71% accuracy, 99.03% detection rate, 99.26% precision and 99.37% f1-score that is performed well than previous methods like Hybrid Feature Reduced method and Multi-class Support Vector Machine (SVM). © 2024 IEEE.

With the development of the internet, online shopping has gradually become a popular way of shopping among the general public, which in turn poses a greater challenge to the e-commerce logistics network. Predicting the volume of goods for each logistics site and route, and establishing a model for quickly adjusting the network in response to sudden situations can save logistics network costs and improve its efficiency. Therefore, this article has done the following work: first, it establishes an effective logistics network volume prediction model;second, for the two scenarios of network structure that cannot be modified and can be modified, it provides a model that can effectively guide the adjustment of the volume of goods on each route when a logistics site is closed;finally, it establishes a logistics network evaluation model to evaluate the importance of logistics sites and routes. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the high-level architecture, task execution methods, and scheduling algorithms behind community internet measurement network (IMN), named AIORI-IMN (Raje A, et al. The internet Measurement Network (AIORI-IMN). In: 2023 4th international conference on computing and Communication Systems (I3CS) 1–8, 2023). AIORI-IMN is researched and developed as part of the project “Advanced internet Operations Research in India” (AIORI) funded by MeitY, Govt. of India (internet Governance | Ministry of Electronics and Information technology, Government of India. URL https://***/content/internet-proliferation-governance). AIORI-IMN is designed to collect, analyze, collaborate and share protocol measurement metrics using distributed Remote Endpoints (RE). The underlying architecture supports the measurement platform to be plug-and-play, secured, scalable, interoperable and resilient. The core architecture is based on distributed edge computing paradigm. It has been designed to be layered with defined interfaces, helping each layer to be interoperable and flexible to adopt new changes with minimal or no impact on other layers. The distributed communication is handled using the Publish-Subscribe messaging pattern. The architecture, design and algorithms have been tested with a reference implementation. The implementation is live now having 100+ Remote Endpoints (RE). The portal https://*** facilitates stakeholders to execute, analyze and visualize measurement tasks in REs. The underlying distributed edge architecture is having three layers (Worker, Controller, UI Management & Analytics). All the layers are interoperable and communicate through APIs and messages. In order to reduce the impact of increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks on the satellite internet security, it is necessary to assess the satellite internet security. Most of existing assessment schemes for network security risk mainly rely on expert knowledge to subjectively weight assessment indicator and quantify security risks, thus leading to results of assessment which are not objective. To address this problem, combining rough set with fuzzy hierarchy analysis, we propose a combination scheme to evaluate the indicator weights for assessing the satellite internet security. First, from the perspective of IPDR model, we propose IPDR-based evaluation indicator system, and fuzzy hierarchy analysis is designed to fuse the indicator scores of more than one experts into one final value and obtain the subjective weight. Second, rough set theory is adopted to reduce indicators and correct the subjective weight obtained in the first step, thus obtaining the comprehensive weight. Finally, a series of experiments are carried out to validate our scheme. © 2023 IEEE.

The field of quantum computing has developed rapidly in recent years due to its promising trend of surpassing traditional machine learning in terms of speed and effectiveness. Quantum kernel learning is one of the paradigms of quantum machine learning, but the training of quantum kernel is time consuming. Therefore, this work makes the first attempt to introduce a consensus-based distributed approach to quantum kernel learning - named CDQKL - that only requires to exchange model parameter information between adjacent nodes while avoiding the need of sharing local training data. Through comparative experimental studies, the advantages of CDQKL in classification accuracy and convergence speed are verified. Considering the popularization of quantum computing cloud service and miniaturization of quantum terminals, the CDQKL adapting to this trend is able to play a vital role in data security, which implies the far-reaching significance of this work. The proliferation of internet of Things(IoT) technology has introduced challenges in device management and network security due to the heterogeneous nature of IoT devices and the inherent security risks they pose. Achieving timely 'visibility' of devices becomes crucial in addressing these challenges. While prevailing research primarily relies on extensive labeled training data, which encounter limitations stemming from the rapid device iteration and cumbersome IoT labeling *** overcome these constraints, we propose a novel IoT device identification method based on a self-supervised Vision in Transformer(ViT) framework. This method translates the abstract traffic behaviors into concrete representations. Leveraging the power of self-supervised learning, the proposed approach capitalizes on unlabeled data to enable autonomous self-training. By employing the ViT model, the method effectively extracts salient features from the images, enabling end-to-end, automated, and high-precision device *** results show that on real-world dataset, our method achieves 99.01% accuracy for the binary classification task of distinguishing IoT devices. Moreover, it achieves fine-grained identification accuracy for IoT devices of 98.44% with Macro-F1 improving to 98.91%. These results surpass the performance of other existing IoT device identification models, such as RF and CNN. © 2023 IEEE.
