The article deals with the problem of gamification for primary school students. The main idea of creating a software product was to create the correct programming sequences for solving simple programming problems in the Scratch programming environment. The technological preconditions for creating an application are described;a review of gamification basics has been carried out. In this article, we first illustrate the current art of state of gamification. Then we discuss requirements for teaching and studying Scratch for primary school students, and then we describe the development of a game application for teaching Scratch programming constructions. In the experimental section we compare the results of the experimental and control groups of primary school students, which showed differences in the levels of knowledge of primary school students after the experiment, where the results of the experimental group are higher than results of the control group 2012 ACM Subject Classification Social and professional topics ! Based on the solution of mathematical models of distribution network, natural gas network and transportation network, combined with timing characteristics and multi-scenario technology, the output and load typical values of various power sources in multiple scenarios are obtained, and the operation optimization strategy of the components in the integrated energy-intelligent transportation system (IE-ITS) coupling network is proposed. On this basis, a two-level programming model is established. The upper-level model discusses the planning plan, and makes investment decisions, load regulation, and charging pile location with the goal of the lowest cost, highest reliability, and best voltage quality, using an improved NSGA-II algorithm. The lower-level model considers the operating strategy, manages the upper-level scheme with the smallest amount of DG waste, using an improved particle swarm algorithm and TOPSIS method. The digital simulation results of an improved IEEE 33-node distribution network, 11-node natural gas network and 34-community transportation network verifies the effectiveness of the proposed two-level programming model. © 2020 IEEE.

The choice of the programming language is a fundamental decision to be made when defining a safety-oriented software development process. It has significant impact on code quality and performance, but also on the achievable level of safety, the development and verification effort, and on the cost of tool qualification. Traditionally, safety-critical systems have been programmed in C or ADA. In recent years, also C++ has entered into the discussion. C++ enables elegant programming, but its inherent language complexity is much higher compared to C. This has implications for testability, structural coverage, performance, and code analysis. Further issues to be considered are tool chain diversity, the role of the standard library, and tool qualification for compilers, analyzers and other development tools. This article summarizes the requirements of different safety norms, illustrates development and verification challenges and addresses tool qualification. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The classical algorithm which is dedicated to resolve job sequencing problem with a deadline (JSD) needs exponential time O(n2), where sorting algorithm [O(nlog(n)-(Merge Sort)] must have to use to sort all the jobs in decreasing order of their profit and it is a greedy technique. To reduce the complexity of this classical algorithm, we nullify the sorting algorithm using dynamic programming approach in the proposed algorithm. The time complexity after using this approach reduces to O(mn), where no sorting algorithm [O(nlog(n))-(Merge Sort)] needed, which has been shown by proper explanation. Here, we were also given a novel approach to resolve the job sequencing problem using Dynamic programming and it is a unique approach that always finds an optimal solution. By using this approach, a proper algorithm has been developed in this paper. Besides, finding maximum profit and the sequence of the job to obtain maximum profit, this algorithm gives the sequence of jobs for a specific profit or near a specific profit. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2020.

Now a days, Multiplier plays a vital role in the implementation of various digital and signal processing applications. As the technology is advancing at a good pace, most of the designers opted for a multiplier with various design objectives like low power dissipation, high speed, less area or a combination of them. In this work, architectures of various conventional multipliers and Vedic multiplier based on UT and Nikhalam Sutra are studied and implemented. MapReduce simplifies the programming for large-scale data-parallel applications and greatly reduces the development effort by sparing the programmer from complex issues such as parallel execution, fault tolerance, data management, task scheduling, etc. A heat map is generally used to provide the visual summary of information using a two-dimensional representation of data in which values are represented by colours. More elaborate heat maps allow the viewer to understand complex data sets in an easily viewable form. This paper discusses the advantages and uses of parallelized heat map algorithm which is mainly used in eye tracking data. Parallelized version of heat map has also been proved to be efficient when compared with the serial version. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this paper, a novel off-policy Q-learning is developed for solving optimal tracking problem of cracking outlet temperature (COT) of SC-1 ethylene cracking furnace, using only the measured data along the system trajectories. This paper takes the outlet temperature of ethylene cracking furnace as the background, taking the state space model as the basis, and combines the data-driven off-policy Q-learning algorithm. A novel off-policy Q-learning algorithm is presented by introducing behavior control policy and combining dynamic programming with Q-learning, such that the optimal tracking controller gain is learned with no need of knowledge of system dynamics enabling the tracking of the target. Simulation results are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2020, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
