The objective of this research work is to evaluate the effects of mining tailings leak on the water quality of the Ananea river, which contain heavy metals. For which techniques such as taking surface water samples were applied at five strategic points, programming two sampling campaigns;one in the rainy season (March) and the other in the dry season (June). Heavy metal concentrations were determined by the EPA METHOD 200.7 Atomic Emission Spectrometry method;The results show that the highest concentrations were recorded at the M-1 sampling point for both the dry season and the rainy season. These concentrations are well above the peruvian Environmental Quality standards (WQS) for water. In the same way, point M-1 was identified as the most critical and vulnerable to contamination in the study area by heavy metals that are above WQS. Likewise, the survey technique was applied, for which a question sheet was prepared for the surrounding population according to the activities carried out in this part of the basin, obtaining data to determine the effects caused by mining pollution on the surrounding life. In conclusion, the quality of the waters of the Ananea River are contaminated by the presence of heavy metals and these have been causing negative effects to all the surrounding life found in the study area. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper designs an educational robot platform according to the needs of robot education for primary and middle school students. The mechanical mechanism design of the robot platform is carried out, and the environment sensing module based on multi-sensor information fusion is designed. The robot platform control is realized based on the ADRC control algorithm. The chassis control board uses the stM32 control board with the stM32F405RG microcontroller as the core. The board integrates MicroPython firmware, which enables access and control of the underlying hardware through the Python scripting language. The sensor modules such as the inertial navigation module and the vision module are connected with the Raspberry Pi development board. The raspberry PI development board conducts path planning according to multi-sensor information fusion, and sends control instructions to the chassis control board through the serial port. On this basis, the Python plug-in management system is designed to realize the graphical programming control robot. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

In this paper, input-constrained optimal control policy for nonlinear time delay system is proposed in virtue of Lyapunov theories and adaptive dynamic programming method. The stability on delayed nonlinear systems is investigated based on linear matrix inequalities, upon which a sufficient stability condition is proposed. To implement the feedback control synthesis, a single neural network is constructed to work as critic and actor network simultaneously, which consequently reduces the computation complexity and storage occupation in programs. The weights of NN are online tuned and the weight estimate errors are proved to be convergent. Finally, simulation results are demonstrated to illustrate our results. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Automatic API recommendations can liberate software developers from labor-intensive programming tasks. Collaborative filtering (CF) techniques, which have been proved to be superior to other classic techniques, are widely used in recommendation tasks such as music, book, and goods recommendations, but are rarely used in the recommendation of APIs. In this paper, we employ the hybrid of CF techniques to build an API recommendation system. More precisely, We treat the API recommendation task as an item recommendation problem, where method declarations are regarded as users, API calls are regarded as items. First, we use the memory-based CF technique to find the most similar projects, collect the most similar declarations, and take API calls used by the considered declarations together to generate a rating matrix. Next, we use the model-based CF technique to complete the missing values in the rating matrix, then a ranked list of APIs is generated based on the completed rating matrix and sent to the developers as a recommendation result. Experimental results show that compared with the state-of-the-art work, the proposed approach can achieve better performance in terms of a comprehensive set of metrics, such as Success Rate, Precision, Recall, MRR, and NDCG for the top-1, top-3 and top-5 recommended APIs.

Delay in the arrival of emergency team after a road accident is one of the main reasons for the increase in the number of deaths in many counties across the globe. Saudi Arabia is not exception. This was the key motivation to undertake this project with an aim to contribute an IoT product that can reduce the number of deaths resulting from the problem of delaying the arrival of emergency team or ambulance. In this project we have designed a seat belt with sensor that senses the heart beat rate of the driver and send a notification to the ambulance about the driver's location if he had an accident. To determine whether accident has occurred, the raw data from heart beat sensor is collected along with the data from vibration sensor of the car. Based on the value of these two collected data, UNO microcontroller is used to process and determine whether it is an accident. If accident the controller utilizes the GPS in the car to get the current location and sends notification to the pre-stored emergency contact numbers. The system will use GSM technology to send an alert containing the location of the accident. Also, we have added a fingerprint to confirm the identity of the passenger so that the sensor does not make mistakes when monitoring the heart rate if the driver changes. Here, we use Arduino platform to implement the hardware connections and for programming Arduino IDE is used. Thus, the end-product of our project is expected to reduce the percentage of deaths that may occur due to delaying ambulance.

Europe faces a demographic shift towards a population with more elderly and less working age people. This necessitates the development of relevant technology-based care services, utilizing ambient assisted living (AAL) concepts and technologies. AAL products often rely on third-party vendor services and cloud hosting, storing and retrieving measurements from these using application programming interfaces (API). This strategy is prone to breaking changes when the third-party vendor changes interfaces or licensing agreements, and can also present legal, privacy, and security problems for healthcare organizations. Using open and independent components represents an alternative approach, allowing the systems to work autonomously together with third-party systems, thereby securing data privacy and security, and allowing for easy replacement of components and services from third-party vendors. Technology, components, and services that support open standards and open data approaches allows for reuse in new systems, and for hosting them in the most relevant settings. The aim of this technical paper is to present the CARIOT+ Care Coach ecosystem for supporting open data and open science. The technical components forming the ecosystem are presented based on experiences gained during three AAL programme projects, the CAMI project, the HELP ME BRUSH project, and the ORAstAR project. The center piece is the CARIOT gateway which is designed for easy collection of ambient sensor data in the home setting, allowing third-party systems full control of the data flow and storage. The paper presents the preliminary experiences gained during the projects and discusses future relevant developments, including how third-party organizations can build on the CARIOT+ Care Coach ecosystem. Finally, the paper discusses how other projects can use the ecosystem to build new and open ambient assisted living systems in the future. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In internet based life ‘Sentiment’ is a popular expression of the present patterns as there are heaps of work is being finished closing information or data mining. In the contemporary world, with the emergence of information technologies, Big data is one of the rising IT trends. An overwhelming amount of data and information is generated every day throughout the world. storing and processing this huge volume of data is named by a ubiquitous term: Big Data Management. The traditional database architectures are not designed to face the challenges associated with huge data. The Apache Hadoop is the well-known software library framework that allows distributed processing of large data sets across clusters of low-end computers using simple programming models. Hadoop is designed to scale up from single servers to thousands of machines, each offering local computation and storage. When HDFS takes in data, it breaks the raw data into separate blocks and distributes them to different nodes(DataNode) in a cluster for parallel processing. But there is no scope to determine, which block is stored in which DataNode. Thus if there is a need to run a query on a specific item/keyword/key, the Hadoop runs the query or analytics program to all its cluster, which somehow increase the overall cost. To overcome these issues, We propose a scheme where we store the data in such a way that the system responses faster to each query and overall processing time decreases. Our motivation is to deliver an efficient and reliable storage and retrieval system in the health-care industry. © 2020 IEEE.

The aim of the study is to find out the educational potential of studying Robotics in stEM educational system as a factor in mastering learners' engineering and creative skills. For the pedagogical experiment, the authors arranged the control and experimental groups of children at the age of 9 to 12 years old (30 people each) in the 2019/2020 academic year. The study included testing, evaluating intelligent background criteria, and a survey among learners and educators. It resulted in the conclusions made. Robotics is a key activity in developing engineering thinking. The technique used for conducting classes in learning Robotics consists of the following components: Initiating relationships, design engineering, reflection/after-action review, and development. stEM education can be based on LEGO constructing. LEGO constructing academic studies are focused on the development of verbal, creative, and engineering skills. An instructor can introduce some software to learners that allow them to design constructions and models using the tools of manual and computer-assisted three-dimensional constructional LEGO Digital Designer. This part of the course is aimed at developing general learning skills. Further development of engineering design is connected with the Arduino microprocessor control unit. It targets schoolchildren well for their study. They can launch small electronic projects. students can master programming skills through 'learning by doing', as well as learn the basics of circuit technology using this platform. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
