The article covers the aggregation informal and mathematical methods in competitiveness of objects of different origin basing on hybrid assessment method. The given method includes principles of systemic analysis of structurization and quantification that leads to the analysis of the competitiveness problem and complex implementation of multicriteria method of optimization, and also methods of ranging of characteristics of the object to be assessed, methods of dual comparisons, methods of integral programming, Hungarian method, reduction, method of tests and errors. The feature of the method is the advantages integration of different quality methods of analysis with formal methods to obtain the quantitative characteristics of results of competitiveness for different consumer levels. The certain extracts of the big solved task are given together with a lot of single and integrated assessments. The certain parts of a huge task solved are also presented in the article. The result tables with conclusions are also presented here. The results change primary view of consumer, make mental outlook wider and change the attitude of consumer towards the competitiveness in particular. The description of transition from methods and models use to the assessment of object competitiveness is given. That shows the possibility of hybrid method application according to the object competitiveness of different origin. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Inventory recording must be done by the company to find out the available stock, so that the company can know when to order goods from the supplier. With the existence of a good inventory system planning, it will be easier for the company to carry out the planned and controlled in and out of the goods process. A distributor of chemicals in recording and inventorying raw materials is still very simple resulting in many products being expired. The purpose of this research is to help companies systematically, precisely and accurately in inventory data collection to reduce expired products. By designing a raw material inventory information system using Visual studio 2010 programming language and SQL Server 2008 R2 database, then the report form is generated using the Crystal Report 2010 version version. 13.02. With the new information system is expected to be able to provide inventory reports quickly and accurately, and can notify when there are raw materials that will be expired. In this paper, we propose a human upper body detection using a depth image that is implemented on a mini PC using a low cost stereo camera. The camera, named Minoru 3D webcam, produces depth image from its two parallel cameras. A pyramid-based region of interest (RoI) is applied on the depth-image frames to scan the possibility of human upper body existence. Simultaneously, a histogram of oriented gradient (HOG) method is performed in the ROI to extract the HOG feature. The results of the HOG feature extraction are then classified using linear support vector machine (SVM). Our system has been experimentally tested publicly in the campus environment. The detection speed obtained from a computer is 8.53 fps and the Mini PC is 4.26 fps under non-Threaded programming. The result of object detection using HOG and SVM Classification method on static image reaches an average accuracy of 78.71%. Testing the system for real implementation has average error accuracy 4.60%. The results of detection for two human objects can achieve an accuracy 71.00%. Moving image testing has an average error of 4.60%. © 2019 IEEE.

With the feature of live translation capabilities, عrbeng allows exchanging text messages, voice and video chat as well as online and offline file transmission with anyone regardless of language barriers. عrbeng is an Interlingual based machine translation system. With Interlingua عrbeng becomes an unambiguous and international translation application that based on a client/server Socket programming. عrbeng uses an integrated language platforms that offers comprehensive online communication functions. عrbeng performs live translation with high translation performance, less time consuming and with more enhanced quality of translation. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

To enhance the analytical thinking, problem solving skills and programming skills of undergraduate engineering students by using ICT (Information and Communications Technology) and evaluation of students through spoken tutorial is done. The effect of activity enhances the employability of students. This paper addresses this challenge using spoken-Tutorials as a collaborative learning tool to develop programming efficiency and evaluation of the learners. To overcome the problem faced by learners in teaching learning we have conducted some workshops and seminars from industries and FOSSEE. The overall results proves that there is drastic change in programming ability of learners. © 2018 IEEE.

People in the Middle East have been affected by the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus (MERS Co-V) since 2012. New cases are continuously reported especially in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the risk of exposure remains an issue. Data visualization plays a vital role in effective analysis of the data. In this paper, we introduce an interactive visualization application for MERS data collected from the Control and Command Centre, Ministry of Health website of Saudi Arabia. The data corresponding to the period from January 1, 2019 to February 28, 2019 was used in the present work. The attributes considered include gender, age, date of reporting, city, region, camel contact, description and status of the patient. The visualization tool has been developed using Shiny framework of R programming language. The application presents information in the form of interactive plots, maps and tables. The salient feature of the tool is that users can view and download data corresponding to the period of their choice. This tool can help decision makers in the detailed analysis of data and hence devise measures to prevent the spread of the disease. © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper describes a project-based learning example used to promote academic success on electrical engineering, BSc and MSc degrees. The project aims to implement an aerial drone devoted to environmental surveillance, through identification and prevention of forest fires, effects of floods, and industrial flammable gases leaks to the atmosphere using an extensive set of gas sensors. The project was carried out using a hexacopter drone platform and combines knowledge of different areas, namely electronics, communications, and instrumentation. The wireless transmission of the acquired data is the main focus of the project. The results obtained from this project-based learning educational experience show that a practical-learning approach usage in conjunction with highly motivating topics promotes academic success and improves the understanding of theoretical concepts. students increased their knowledge and skills during the problem resolution, and achieved a real solution according to their options. Moreover, this approach provides students an extensive learning experience on current technologies, modules and programming languages. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method is a linear programming approach that has been widely used as a framework for evaluating efficiency and measurement. DEA decision making is often faced with situations where the existing DMU has input and output that contains fuzzy and hesitant elements so that it is difficult to make efficiency measurements. This study will design a DEA model in the state of inputs and outputs that contain hesitant elements by using polyhedral uncertainty sets. The results of this study are expected to produce a benchmarking model with DEA that can overcome the hesitant element and have the advantage of using a polyhedral uncertainty set that can measure the linearity of the nominal problem. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In the paper the mathematical problem of defining the scope of pilot test is stated, which is a task of quadratic programming. The procedure of the problem solving includes the method of network programming based on the structurally similar network representation of the criterion and constraints and which reduces the original problem to a sequence of simpler evaluation tasks. The evaluation tasks are solved by the method of dichotomous programming.

Biobutanol is a type of alcohol that can be produced from biomass lignocellulose and used as renewable fuel. One of lignocellulose sources as raw material of making biobutanol is bagasse. Bagasse as agriculture waste was useless and did not have a potential benefit for farmers, but in this research it used as raw material because of the high cellulose contained. In this research for producing biobutanol, bagasse pre-treated by using ammonia with various concentrations (0 %, 1 %, 3 %, 5 %, 7%) and hydrolysis with 2 % sulphuric acid for 2 hours and 120 °C. Then the process continued with fermentation. In this step 10 mL Clostridium acetobutylicum bacteria was used and fermentation times were varied (2, 4 and 6 days). The aims of this research were analysed the content of cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin before and after pre-treatment processes and also biobutanol content after fermentation process. The results of this research showed that using 7 % ammonia was the highest lignocellulose content which had 69.68 % of cellulose, 14.39 % of hemicellulose and 9.15 % of lignin. The highest biobutanol content was 0.85 % that produced by using 5 % ammonia in the pre-treatment process and fermented for 6 days. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
