Designing and programming require several types of knowledge. Beside conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge is of importance. Procedural knowledge, however, is often missed in courses about software design and implementation. As a consequence, students can easily be stuck and do not know how to *** software engineering as a complex task, the didactic approach 4C/ID is applicable. This approach prescribes that besides mental models, cognitive strategies should be learned, consisting of overall steps and rules and procedures per step. Agriculture brings a major contribution to the sustainable development of the economy, providing food to people. Because of the continuous growth of the population, there is an ever increasing need of food worldwide. For this reason, it is necessary to study the contact between the soil and the active tool of the cultivators, in relation to the type of soil and its parameters. The physical-mechanical characteristics of the soils are influenced by the moving velocity of the working part, as well as by the humidity of the soil. The humidity triggers the change of the friction coefficient at the soil-steel contact, being of significant importance for the decrease of the working resistance of the working tools and responsible for increasing exploitation costs. The model used for the soil has a non-linear plastic behavior of the Drucker Prager type, being different from the Mises model. The programming software Ansys was used for the simulation with the finite element method, allowing the study of the behavior of the active working part, the normal stress being analyzed in real conditions, at various depths and velocities for a soil with a clay-sandy texture.

Solving of the robots is one of the base important problem in robotics. Forward and Inverse kinematics are the problem that without them not possible to control the movements of all joints in the robots workspace. Now, many applications need the multi robots with complex space movements that impose one complex control method. Solving the kinematics problem for the multi robots applications is very difficult because there are many variable parameters (internal robots coordinates) and many redundant solutions (difference between the number of degree of freedom and number of scalar equations). In the paper are show the state of art of the robots forward and inverse kinematics (FK, IK) and the new proposed smart method. The paper proposes one assisted method solving of the forward and inverse kinematics with the goal to minimize the final end-effecters trajectory errors, by optimizing the distance between the final position of the endeffecter and the target. The proper virtual LabVIEW instrumentation used in the assisted research open the way to some other applications like: programming the collaborative robots, exoscheleton robots and multi-robots applications. The proposed method was applied to many types of the robot's structures. We were shown one complete study case and the obtained trajectory errors of the one arm type robot fixed on the ceiling. The presented method is general and can be used in all other robots types and for all other conventional and unconventional space curves.

Flexible automation is used more and more in various production processes, so that both machining itself on CNC machine tools and workpiece handling means are performed through programming the needed working cycle. In order to obtain a successful precise positioning, each motion degree needs a certain deceleration before stopping at a programmed point. The increase of motion speed of moving elements within the manipulators structure depends directly on deceleration duty quality before the programmed stop. Proportional valves as well as servo-valves that can perform hydraulic decelerations are well known, but they feature several disadvantages, such as: high price, severe conditions for oil filtering and low reliability under industrial conditions. This work presents a new deceleration system that allows adjustment of deceleration slope according to actual conditions: inertial mass, speed etc. The new solution of hydraulic decelerator allows its integration to a position loop or its usage in case of positioning large elements that only perform fixed cycles. The results being obtained on the positioning accuracy of a linear axis using the new solution of the hydraulic decelerator are presented, too. The price of the new deceleration system is much lower compared to the price of proportional valves or servo-valves.

EU Directive 92/75/EC established for the first time an energy consumption labelling scheme, further implemented by several other directives. As consequence, nowadays many products (e.g. home appliances, tyres, light bulbs, houses) have an EU Energy Label when offered for sale or rent. Several energy consumption models of manufacturing equipments have been also developed. This paper proposes an energy efficiency - based classification of the manufacturing workstation, aiming to characterize its energetic behaviour. The concept of energy efficiency of the manufacturing workstation is defined. On this base, a classification methodology has been developed. It refers to specific criteria and their evaluation modalities, together to the definition & delimitation of energy efficiency classes. The energy class position is defined after the amount of energy needed by the workstation in the middle point of its operating domain, while its extension is determined by the value of the first coefficient from the Taylor series that approximates the dependence between the energy consume and the chosen parameter of the working regime. The main domain of interest for this classification looks to be the optimization of the manufacturing activities planning and programming. A case-study regarding an actual lathe classification from energy efficiency point of view, based on two different approaches (analytical and numerical) is also included.
