This paper proposes a self-tuning methodfor fuzzy if-then rule generation based on neuralnetwork and clustering algorithm techniques. In thetuning approach, the initial parameters of fuzzy rulesare roughly designed by using a fuzzy clusteringalgorithm, and then fuzzy rules under fuzzysingleton-type reasoning are tuned by using aneuro-fuzzy learning algorithm. By this approach,the learning time can be reduced and the generatedfuzzy rules are reasonable and suitable for theidentified system. Finally, identifying a nonlinearfunction shows the efficiency of the tuningapproach.

Furthermore, the adaptivecontrol is applied to control the deterioration of the trackingperformance by the variation of payload. It is verified by thepractical experiment that the adaptive control is very useful in thecase of the nonlinear torque has small effect compared to thefriction torque.

Considering the variance bought up by approximationof radiance during the first pass, this paper presents erroranalysis and an improvement method for potential tracingalgorithm. With a general form of equations for importancesampling based random walks, variance analysis is given and itsrelationship to the error of radiance is shown. Aiming at errorreduction, a computing method by alternatively solving bothadjoint equations is proposed, giving a progressive refinement toboth radiance and value of the required flux. A wavelet based watermarking algorithm for digitalimage protection is proposed in this paper. Different from thetraditional watermarking algorithms, in this algorithm thewatermark is not embedded into the source image, but rather,used to derive a secret key. The secret key is generated bymixing-up the image features and the watermark kapt by therightful owner. Signification coefficients of the image afterdigital wavelet transformation are adopted for feature *** major merit of this algorithm is that the host image will notbe degraded for protection purpose and the algorithm is robustagainst various attacks, such as image compressing, blurring andcropping.
