In this paper, we first establish a sufficientcondition for the Schur stability, then use that result to establish anecessary and sufficient condition for the robust Schur stabilityof interval polynomial, from which an algorithm is developed todetermine the Schur stability of interval polynomial. Finally, anumerical example is given to demonstrate the applicability ofour algorithm.

In pervasive computing era, our environment willbe saturated with computing and computing power(capability), which are tremendous embedded systems. Alogic infrastructure is the key to successful deployment ofpervasive computing to support innovative applications suchas contextual computing;composable computing and largescale distributed embedded application. Adaptability ofspontaneous networking(SN) and multiple agent system(MAS)platforms to pervasive computing are deeply probed in thispaper, their feasibility and advantages are analyzed;furthermore, new challenges to such an infrastructure arebriefly introduced.

The power frequency electromagneticenvironments of Zhongguancun Software Park nearplanned high voltage transmission lines, includingelectrical field and magnetic field, are evaluated withCDEGS software in this paper From this analysis, we canconclude that the power frequency electromagneticenvironments of the software Park are below themaximum ecological allowed exposure values for thegeneral public given by HJ/T 24-1998 [1], neverthelessthe power frequency magnetic field may interfere with thesensitive computer display unit.

Aiming at control system T-S fuzzy model, theoptimal solution cannot be obtained through LMI: it only findsa solution in solution space, but cannot ensure optimal. In thispaper, Genetic Arithmetic is applied to T-S fuzzy model,searching the optimal solution in solution space. An optimalfeedback control matrix is obtained through Genetic Arithmeticin inverse pendulum control system. The simulation resultsshow the proposed method is valid

-High reliability,low cost and TDM servicesupporting are the vital factors for Ethernet PONs to bedeployed iu FTTB (Fiber To The Business) and FTTB+H(Fiber To The Business and Home) environments. To focuson high reliability and low cost,a novel protection schemefor the Ethernet PONs is proposed in this paper. Comparedwith tbe APON protection schemes recommended in ITUG983.1 and SDH/SONET protection schemes, the novelscheme is more bandwidth-efficient, economical, flexible,and reliable.

By connecting information rates (entropy rate andmutual information rate) with classic poles and zeros analysisusing Bode's integral formulas, the performance limits and the'conservation law of variety' in scale linear time invariantfeedback control systems am discussed from the viewpoint ofinformation theory. A new kind of design constraints is alsoderived.

Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) has been applied to severalNP-hard combinatorial optimization problems with considerablesuccess while little experience is available on continuousconstrained optimization problems. In this paper ACO wasadopted in the solution of a layout optimization problem withdynamic constraints. A quasi Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP)model was introduced for local layout improvement by adiscretization approach and its ACO based optimizationalgorithm was then developed. The proposed methedologydemonstrates its feasibility and validity on a numerical example.

A numerical simulation method is developedto solve flow distribution for evaporation system innatural circulation boiler. According to flow rules ofparallel system, equatons on flux distribution ofmulti-loop were deduced to tit for calculation in realtime. Test result shows that multi-loop model canreflect the deviation of construction parameters, such asheight and length among waterwall loops. The dynamicresponse of model obeys basic rules of flow and heattransfer when heat flux change. This method can onlybe used in natural circulation system of power plantsimulator.

With the change of the world-wide marketcompetition, Virtual Enterprises (VE) will become neworganization form of manufacturing enterprises. As VE isa complicated enterprise over multi-enterprise, how tobuild an optimal VE organization is a difficult problem. Inthis paper, based on analysis of the VE organization, themodelling methodology for VE include enterprisearchitecture, reference model, enterprise modellingmethods and its toolkit, guideline for systemimplementation is proposed.

A novel Multiuser Detector for CDMAmobile communication system is developed. The NovelDetector, which is a randomized version of Hopfieldneural network with soft decision feedback (SHN/soft),guarantees optimal performance by minimizing thecorresponding quadratic form in a stochastic *** Stochastic Hopfield Network is the network, wherea noise is added to the state variables to reach theglobal optimum and thus achieving the best *** performance of the Novel Multiuser Detector hasbeen tested by extensive simulations in multipathfading channel, which prove its superiority compared toother traditional methods.
