In this paper the structre and characteristics of timedDPN (Differential Petri Nets) are analyzed. According to theissues that are required to be solved in power system analysis, thecontinuous parts of power system are modeled by using thespecial features of DPN. Thus, the discrete and continuous partsof power system can be described in the same analysis andmodeling tool. From the modeling of an OMIB system, it can beshown that DPN is a kind of effective analysis tool for themodeling of power system.

Multi-code CDMA is an appropriate scheme for transmitting high rate data. However, dynamic range of thesignal is large, and power amplifier with good linearity is required. Code select CDMA (CS/CDMA) is avariation of multi-code CDMA scheme that ensures constant amplitude transmission. In CS/CDMA inputdata selects orthogonal codes for spreading other input data. In conventional CS/CDMA system multi-levelsignal is MPSK modulated for transmission. To limit the number of levels, the system includes levelclipping block, which may destroy orthogonality between channels and causes performance degradation. Inthis paper, we show that by encoding input data amplitude of the output signal can be made constant. Withproposed coding scheme, level clipping is not necessary and the output signal can be BPSK modulated fortransmission.

Fractal image compression has received muchattention from the research community because of somedesirable properties like resolution independence, fastdecoding and very competitive rate-distortion curve [1].Though the progress made in fractal compression, the longencoding times still remain the main drawback of thistechnique, which result from the need of performing a largenumber of range-domain matches. The total encoding timeis the sum of the time required to perform each match. Thereduction of the encoding time lead to minimize theformula‖r-(s d+o l‖～2 （1）.Where s,o are respectively the luminance andcontrast of the domain block d r is the range *** methods have been proposed in order tospeed-up fractal image coding [2]. An efficiency fuzzyalgorithm base of fuzzy comparison of the featuredistance between each range and domain block has beenprovided to speed-up the encoding time, without thedegradation of the image quality. The proposal methodhas been compared to the general fractal coding method[1, 3] for testing it efficiency.

In this paper a mechanism is proposed torealize the log-in authentication with a stored table ofuser registrations in a remote network system. Thestored table, called the generating key table, ekists in aremote server, whose work is to validate whether therequesting user is legitimate or not. Although there weremany papers addressing the issue of log-inauthentication with table-store scheme, until now, therewas not a rule to point out the principle of devising alog-in authentication scheme. In this paper, we define aprintitive function to sketch the principle. Then anexample based on locating the centers on a triangle isillustrated to fulfill our idea. In our scheme, the storedkeys are generated by geometric ways, and are used foruser authentication later. In such a way, the attacks ofpenetrating the stored table are prevented. Without lossof generality, the password can be chosen freely by theregistering user, the dynamic operations for a user'sinsertion. deletion and password change are conducted,and the verification process can be carried outefficiently.

To overcome the disadvantageous influences of additivenoises and temporary disturbances to system identification, systemresponse involving additive noise is decomposed, denoised andreconstructed multiply by employing different wavelet functions anddifferent threshold-based methods, then the identification results areobtained by employing the classes of LS(least square) identificationalgorithms to the denoised identification data. However, LS Algorithmsare quite sensitive to temporary disturbances and lack of effectivedisturbance-rejecting capability. Thus, an identification algorithm basedon the criterion function of least absolute error (LA) is presented, and thecorresponding solving approach is also given. Unlike the classes oftraditional LS identification methods, the presented LA identificationmethod can reject heavy temporary disturbances and lead to goodidentification results.

This paper presents a novel algorithm to detect faceand eyes in a reliable manner with a stereo *** the combination of stereo tracking method for ob-ject detection and tracking and structure-based methodand exainple-based learning approach for face detec-tion, a real time and robust system is built, Humanhead detection is implemented with a stereo vision sys-tem, where a layered scenery is obtained from the depthimage. With head-shoulder contour model applied tothe disparity image, a fast head detection algorithm isdeveloped. On the head detected, which also tells therough scale of it, a hybrid face detection algorithm isproposed for face pattern detection and eyes *** applying the face structure model and facial com-ponents model, face candidates in images are obtainedfor the later validating of face pattern. Support vectormachine (SVM) is adopted here to select the good sam-ples that will form a classification boundary to classifyface and non-face patterns.

Peer-to-peer （P2P） networking technology is a currentlyemerging technology in the network research domain. Andit is being taken seriously by lots of scientists andresearchers. Peer discovery is an important problem in theP2P network communications. In this paper severalpopularly used peer discovery methods are introduced andanalyzed. On the basis of this, a peer discovery methodusing IP multicast and JXTA technology is proposed andthe framework is realized through Java programming onthe Java 2 Platform.

An extendable framework is developed for ensembleHME model based on the theory analysis of informationgeometry. In a hierarchical set of systems, a lower order systemis included in the parameter space of a large one as a *** a parameter space has rich geometrical structures that areresponsible for the dynamic behaviors of learning. HME networkdivides a task into small tasks by the principle of divide andconquer to improve the performance of a single network. Bystudying the dual manifold architecture for mixtures of neuralnetworks and analyzing the probability ofKnowledge-increasable Model based on information geometry,the paper proposes a new method to achieve the multi-HMEmodel that has knowledge-increasable and structure-extendibleability. The method helps to provide explanation of thetransformation mechanism of human recognition system andunderstand the theory of global architecture of neural network.

In this paper we use a "uniformity"property of Riemann integration toobtain a single-hidden-layer neuralnetwork of fixed translates ofdirection basis function with a fixed "width" that approximates a (possiblyinfinite) set of target functionsarbitrarily well in the supremum normover a compact set. The conditions onthe set of target functions are simpleand intuitive: uniform boundedness andequicontinuity (so this result reducesto the "classical" theorems for asingle target function). The uniformityproperty mentioned above refers to theexistence of a single Riemann partitionthat achieves a prescribed accuracy ofapproximation of the Riemann integralsfor a set of functions. A noteworthyfeature of this simultaneousapproximation scheme is that thenonlinear problem of finding thetranslates (also known as the"centers") needs to be solved onlyonce. The only parameters that need tobe adapted for a particular targetfunction are the weights fromhidden-to-output layer (which is alinear problem).

An end-to-end scheduling approachfor real-time CORBA, called EES-CORBA, is proposedin the paper. In terms of the remote calls in eachreal-time CORBA client, the client can be mapped to achain of tasks. The mapping rules are: each remote callin the client is mapped to a task that executes on serverhost and local code between adjacent remote calls ismapped to a task that executes on local host. Thus, thereal-time CORBA system can be viewed as end-to-endsystem. According to the existing end-to-end schedulingsolution, EES-CORBA is easily implemented. Theperformance test indicates that EES-CORBA is betterthan other end-to-end scheduling approaches forreal-time CORBA.
