Peer-to-peer overlay is self-organized by individual hosts in the Internet. The overlay usually serves for collaboration-oriented applications and necessitates group communication. Consequently, anonymity is demanded in scenarios such as military, government applications for privacy protection. It prevents communicating party identity from being revealed by others. In this paper we propose Bus-based anonymous multicast upon peer-to-peer overlay, which delivers message from originator to consumers anonymously. The Bus rotates over an Euler tour formed by hosts and takes intentional messages to respective consumers. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that bus-based anonymous multicast gets higher anonymity level comparing to existing ones.

A class of Internet TCP fluid control algorithms with communication delays is studied. A critical value of the delay to ensure the stability of Internet is presented by analyzing the algorithm. By enlarging the delay across the critical value, we prove that the TCP-like algorithm exhibits periodic oscillation. Finally, a numerical simulation is used to verify the theoretical results. Our results have shown that the communication delay is one of the key factors to affect the quality of service (Qos) of Internet and plays an important role in communicating process of Internet.

How much information project in California University examined the volume of information that have been produced so far, and revealed that actually very large volume of information has been produced, even if sensor information is not included in the target of this research. So, if such information is included, the amount becomes much larger. Therefore, we considered that it is a big challenge in information science to make value from such massive volume of data. Recently, it is said that knowledge worker waste more than 30 percent of their work time to search something. It is necessary to make information retrieval more efficient. This paper introduces info-plosion project, which tackles this challenge. In this paper we introduce four core subprojects.

As an education pattern, e-learning systems are becoming more and more popular. For developing of e-learning systems, it is important to know users' opinions and evaluation about them. It is involved in applying the automatic text analysis to extract the opinions and adopting automatic sentiment analysis to identify the sentiment of opinions from the Web pages on which users are discussing or describing their personal opinions and evaluation of the services. Conditional random fields is used for identifying and extracting the opinions. The negative sentences and degree adverbs are specially considered in sentiment processing. Then, we present the strength calculation for opinion sentiment orientation. The experiment shows that it is with high analysis precision on opinions extraction and sentiment analysis and helpful to e-learning system.

In order to get the robust performance for audio watermarking, a new idea called synchronous valley approach for hiding location is proposed for public audio transmission. As the audio masking principle, the computation is addressed in the low frequency coefficients in discrete wavelet transforming. Five features for seven rules are drawn from the coefficients in the self-synchronous approach. The secrets are firstly coded with BCH technology and then hidden behind the synchronous positions by the algorithm of quantization discrete wavelet transforming. Experimental results show that the synchronous valley approach is very effective when locating the secrets in the watermarking embedding and extracting process. Meanwhile, the watermarking technology is robust to the common attacks, such as MP3 coding, re-sampling, re-quantization, echo delay, Gaussian noise and cropping.

Fine-grained parallel genetic algorithm (FGPGA), though a popular and robust strategy for solving complicated optimization problems, is sometimes inconvenient to use as its population size is restricted by heavy data communication and the parallel computers are relatively difficult to use, manage, maintain and may not be accessible to most researchers. In this paper, we propose a FGPGA method based on GPU-acceleration, which maps parallel GA algorithm to texture-rendering on consumer-level graphics cards. The analytical results demonstrate that the proposed method increases the population size, speeds up its execution and provides ordinary users with a feasible FGPGA solution.

We face increasing uncertainty, cheat and risk when executing Grid resource trades, which is taken as a prominent feature of the market-oriented Grid. As participants of Grid, we cope with these complexities and uncertainties by relying trust for lacking of enforceable and globally uniform laws for Grid. So we propose a Grid resource trade model based on evaluation of trust to assist Grid participants to avoid cheating. The model allows Grid resource consumers (GRCs) to dynamically pay Grid resource providers (GRPs) for resource use of each step by dividing one trade into many steps, that is, "pay as you use". Theoretical analysis and simulations prove that our proposed model can tackle Grid resource trades in a secure and effective way.

The mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is difficult to maintain the routing path from node mobility. The device in mobile ad-hoc network has limited power. It is in charge of both transmitting data packet and maintaining routing path. In consequence, the lifetime of routing path differ with the power control method. We propose the routing model using PARO (power-aware routing optimization) and ZRP (zone routing protocol) for effective power control and transmission. This paper presents a routing algorithm which tries to minimize the power consumed in transmitting a packet from the lifetime of the network by avoiding nodes that have a shorter lifetime remaining.

With the data of Internet continuous growth, information extraction has become the foundational and effective means to handling the quantity of text. This paper puts forward a method of information extraction that incorporating paragraph feature and hidden Markov model. The method takes paragraph instead of words as research object, paragraph is text sequence saved from web pages after preprocessed. Every paragraph is converted into special tokens, these tokens are the observation symbols of hidden Markov model. The whole experiments are carried out on EBM Web pages set. The information extracted includes title, author, affiliation and journal etc. The experimental results show that this method can improve precision and recall in some degree.

There is a lack of built-in privacy mechanisms within the current identity management systems. The guarantee a user has about their privacy is merely the 'trust' that the service providers will enforce their privacy requirements. The contribution of this paper is a proposal for the extension of existing Federated Single Sign-On (FSSO) systems to adopt the beneficial properties of the User-Centric Identity Management (UCIM) model to provide an identity management system that allows the users to control and enforce their privacy requirements while still retaining the convenient features of FSSO. By having an identity management system that respects user's privacy in a concrete manner as opposed to a simple 'trust', users will trust the current electronic communication medium more and hence allows more services to grow in this field.
