Previous work has found benefit in using dimensional analysis in the modeling and control of dynamicsystems. What has not been explored is how multiple dimensionless dynamicsystems would interconnect and interact with one another This work presents an initial investigation into the interconnection of dimensionless dynamicsystems, including an analysis of the differences between interconnecting dimensioned and dimensionless systems. A strategy is developed to interconnect dimensionless dynamicsystems and explored using models of multiple fluid power components. The interconnection strategy is tested through controller design and simulation, which reveals insight into the dimensionless transformation of the original dynamicsystems.

The paper focuses on the control of vehicular systems along trajectories in the presence of obstacles. We design parameter-dependent controllers which guarantee closed-loop stability and performance of the vehicle's regulation loop. In addition, the control strategy changes depending on the position of the vehicle in the obstacle environment so that the critical outputs are given the most attention. We also provide a fast and easy-to-implement algorithm for online controller construction. Last, the proposed approach is applied to a three-degree-of-freedom helicopter.
