Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is becoming attractive technology as an alternative to barcode systems. RFID systems provide an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using RFID tags or transponders. An RFID tag is an object that can be attached to or incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification using radio waves. Chip-based RFID tags contain silicon chips and antennae. In this paper, we develop a smart shopping system that allows customers to manage their shopping list while shopping and only pay the bill at the checkout counter. The shopping cart has the ability to automatically calculate and display the total prices of all the products inside it. This makes it easy for the customer to know how much he or she has to pay while shopping and not at the checkout counter. This way the customer can also control his or her budget and receive faster service at the checkout. An advantage for the shop owners is that they would need a fewer cashiers, which would result in a large cut in their costs. In this paper, we also provide a mathematical model to calculate the estimated delay for each cart to access the system through the ad hoc or WLAN networks. Copyright 2009 ACM.

The burnishing rolling process was considered as a geometrical and physical non-linear problem with unknown boundary conditions in contact area of system include tool and workpiece. The updated Lagrange's description was used to characterize non-linear phenomena, on a typical incremental step time. The results of a numerical analysis of the influence of space As, and height Ah, deviations of the triangular asperity after turning on the space Asb and height Ahb deviations of "plateau" asperity after burnishing were presented, as well as on the states of strains and stresses in the surface layer of finished product. For this purpose, an application enabling computer simulations was created in Ansys/LS-Dyne computer program. The simulation programme makes possible a complex time analysis of the physical phenomena: states of displacements, strains and stresses for any height and spacing deviations of surface asperities after turning and for values of the radiuses of the rounding off of asperities and of the bottom between asperities (and their location), and any values of the friction coefficient. It is possible to give various initial and boundary conditions. Exemplary calculations were presented for steel C45 and triangular asperities after turning with the vertical angle 8 = 90°. The variables in the calculation are: deviation of the height of triangular asperity after turning Ah, =0, 01 + 0, 04 [mm] and its space deviation As, = 0, 05-4-0, 2 [mm]. The depth of burnishing was a = 0, 5 • R, [mm], where R, is theoretical height of asperity. The calculation results were approximated and functions of regression were obtained. Next, an experimental verification of the received results was conducted. The samples after turning were characterized by the variables: space and height deviations of neighbouring asperities. According to the structural characteristic and the test requirement of tow-post ROPS, a nonlinear finite element model of ROPS based on large-strain shell element was established, and the influence of elastic-plastic deformation of ROPS was taken into consideration. Then the computer simulation of ROPS was performed in lateral loading case, which obtained the deformation mode and the distribution law of equivalent plastic stress of ROPS followed by the discussion of deformation mechanism of ROPS. The simulation results accorded with test results. This paper can provide theoretical basis for the structural design of two-post ROPS.

The application of fieldbus has been limited due to the high cost of hardware and the difficulty in interfacing with multivendor products. In order to solve these problems, the computer network technology, especially Ethernet, is being adopted by the industrial automation field. The key technical obstacle for Ethernet for industrial applications is that its nondeterministic behavior makes it inadequate for real-time applications, where the frames containing real-time information, such as control command and alarm signal, have to be delivered within a certain time limit. Recently, the development of switched Ethernet shows a very promising prospect for industrial applications due to the elimination of uncertainties in the network operation that leads to the dramatically improved performance. We propose a trust evaluation model for industrial control ethernet network. Our study shows the importance and necessity of applying theoretical analyses to understand the complex characteristics of trusted industrial control ethernet networks.
