In China, the rapid development of medical informatization and the increasing public health awareness greatly stimulate the growth of Electronic Physical Records (EPR). This paper focuses on analyzing and mining electronic physical records to provide constructive suggestions for people's lifestyles using data of thirty thousand individual records in 2009 within the nine-month period from April to December, at China-Japan Union Hospital of Jilin University. During the analyzing process, numerous challenges were faced such as data storage, data noise and data incompletion etc. Thus we designed a framework as the resolution to these problems, and utilized data mining methods including association rules to find the characteristics of all ages in Changchun and gained some satisfactory results such as the abnormal BMI increasing with age. We also utilized the community discovery algorithm to explore the relationship between abnormal physical indicators. However, the result is not satisfactory and the module cant even reach 0.1. To solve the problem of information isolation in China, we also implement a data platform.

Crowd density estimation for counting persons, or for determining interactions among persons, groups of people, or crowds has been a challenging problem since persons can be occluded by other persons in (highly) crowded situations. The successful development of such techniques has diverse purposes, such as reassigning limited resources (e.g., public transportation) properly by counting floating population or categorizing the type of events based on the identification of crowd interactions. While existing counting approaches are mostly based on regression models that directly map features to the corresponding class labels, we propose a conditional marked point process (CMPP)-based approach to count individual persons even in moderately crowded scenes. We use a mixture of Bernoulli shape, which is a stochastic model, estimated from the training set with extrinsic shape distribution that determines the size of a shape for the given location in an input image to count the proper number of persons in different types of scenes. The experiment was carried out on PETS2009 which is a well-known public dataset. It was concluded from the experimental results that the proposed approach can be an alternative to the conventional MPP-based approaches.

Based on the theory of Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC), this paper sets up a regression model between economic development and industrial pollution according to the data of per capita GDP and "three industrial wastes" in Jiangsu Province over the period of 1999 to *** analysis show that there is no obvious EKC relationship between the industrial effluents emissions and per capita GDP in Jiangsu province. There exist a "N" curve relationship between industrial waste gas emissions and per capita GDP. The first turning point is located at per capital GDP $23707 during 2004 and 2005, after then, industrial waste gas emissions showed a trend of decline. The second turning point appeared during the year of 2009 and 2010, which is located at per capital GDP $49513,and then the trend turned to rise again. Meanwhile, there exist a "N" curve relationship between industrial solid wastes and per capita GDP. The first turning point is located at per capital GDP $22975 during 2004 and 2005, after that, industrial solid wastes showed a trend of decline. The second turning point appeared during the year of 2011 and 2012, which is located at per capital GDP $66507, then the trend turned to rise again, and this trend will not change in the short term. Transforming and upgrading from factor-driven and capital-driven to innovation-driven is important for economic transformation and upgrading in Jiangsu.

The PaeLife project is a European industry-academia collaboration in the framework of the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme (AAL JP), with a goal of developing a multimodal, multilingual virtual personal life assistant to help senior citizens remain active and socially integrated. Speech is one of the key interaction modalities of AALFred, the Windows application developed in the project;the application can be controlled using speech input in four European languages: French, Hungarian, Polish and Portuguese. This paper briefly presents the personal life assistant and then focuses on the speech-related achievements of the project. These include the collection, transcription and annotation of large corpora of elderly speech, the development of automatic speech recognisers optimised for elderly speakers, a speech modality component that can easily be reused in other applications, and an automatic grammar translation service that allows for fast expansion of the automatic speech recognition functionality to new languages. To study the effect of calibration set on quantitatively determining test weight of maize by near-infrared spectroscopy, 584 maize samples were collected and scanned for near-infrared spectral data. Test weight was measured following the standard GB 1353-2009, resulting the sample test weight of 693–732 g·L. Two calibration models were respectively built using partial least squares regression, based on two different calibration sets. Test weight of two calibration sets distribute differently, with normal and homogeneous distributions. Both quantitative models were selected by root mean square error of cross validation(RMSECV), and evaluated by validation set. Results show the RMSECV of the model based on normal distribution calibration set is 4.28 g·L, the RMSECV of the model based on homogeneous distribution calibration set is 2.99 g·L, the predication of two models have significant difference for the samples with high or low test weight.

Two kinds of floods occurred in Cambodia;rainfall flood and river flood. Between both of them, rainfall flood which happened more frequently, is really the main concern due to its impacts and the management options to be used in the country. Cambodian government has given the key role of management strategies to control floods impacts to the National Committee for Disaster Management(NCDM), Asia Disaster Preparedness Center(ADPC), Mekong River Commission(MRC) and Asian development Bank(ADB). This paper focuses on the experience of Cambodia from severe floods, limitation for recovery and policy implementation. The paper also studies the policy issues, understands the flood vulnerability reduction and the policy implementation to assess the effectiveness of policies and actions. Case studies of flood in 2009 and 2011 described situation of flood, policies and activities undertaken during and after flood.
