This paper presents a new method for mobile robots motion planning in dynamic environments based on wave expansion approach is the main issue of this work, which avoids full wave expansion in sudden obstacle case. Full Wave expansion in great scale environments takes considerable amount of time and the process. In this work a new wave expansion algorithm for path finding, local minima, and sudden obstacles have been met and proposed, as so-called Virtual Target algorithm that prevents from re-expansion of full wave. Furthermore, the simulation results reflects that how the work has improved the already-existing methods. By the use of Virtual Target algorithm it's been tried to prevent the re-expansion of the wave.

The configuration of support resources is a main factor affecting warship mission reliability. Seeking the balance between support resources and mission reliability to sustain the demands of missions is one of the targets of material support studies. This paper proposes a discrete-event simulation model written in ExtendSim and employs an enhanced evolutionary algorithm for optimizing support resources in requirement of warship mission reliability. Environments that integrate network computer into global computing resources have been studied since the development of Internet. In order to provide a platform independent approach to high-performance network computing, several Java-based implementations have been developed. Java overcomes the issue of maintaining different binary codes, multiple execution environments, and complex architectures. It offers the basic infrastructure to integrate computers resources connected to Internet into a distributed computational resource and allows parallel applications execution on different O.S. environment. In this paper we discuss the design and implementation of a network computing prototype system based on Java technology. The proposed multi level architecture uses the Agent paradigm to manage resources and to develop a user friendly interface to share resources in the grid.

Design rules have been the primary contract between technology and design and are likely to remain so to preserve abstractions and productivity. While current approaches for defining design rules are largely unsystematic and empirical in nature, this paper offers a novel framework for early and systematic evaluation of design rules and layout styles in terms of major layout characteristics of area, manufacturability, and variability. Due to the focus on co-exploration in early stages of technologydevelopment, we use first order models of variability and manufacturability (instead of relying on accurate simulation) and layout topology/congestion-based area estimates (instead of explicit and slow layout generation). The framework is used to efficiently co-evaluate several debatable rules (evaluation for a 104-cell library takes 20 minutes). Results show that: a) diffusionrounding mainly from diffusion power-straps is a dominant source of variability, b) cell-area overhead of fixed gate-pitch implementation compared to 1D-poly implementation is tolerable (5%) given the improvement in variability, and c) 1D-poly restriction, which improves manufacturability and variability, has almost no area overhead compared to 2D-poly. In addition, we explore gate-spacing rules using our evaluation framework. This exploration yields almost identical values as those of a commercial 65nm process, which serves as a validation for our approach. Copyright 2009 ACM.
