In accordance with the development of recent computertechnology, the dependency of railway signaling system on the computer software is being increased further, and accordingly, the testing for the safety and reliability of railway signaling system software became more important. This thesis suggested an automated testing tool for coding rules on this railway signaling system software, and presented its result of implementation. The testing items in the implemented tool had referred to the international standards in relation to the software for railway system and MISRA-C standards. This automated testing tool for railway signaling system can be utilized at the assessment stage for railway signaling system software also, and it is anticipated that it can be utilized usefully at the software development stage also.

Intrusion detection systems (IDS) as a part of today's networks raise millions of low-level alerts every day. Consequently, it is difficult for human to analyze them. Alert correlation techniques have been developed during recent years to decrease the number of alerts and provide a high-level abstraction of them for a network administrator. In this paper, we suggest a new method for correlating alerts based on their attributes. We use time windows along with a classification method to distinguish those received alerts that are correlated with the new alert. Time windows are applied for reducing the number of comparisons and improving the accuracy of correlation. Our experiments which were done on DARPA2000 show that while the cost of comparisons dropped noticeably, the correlation method performed accurately. Our method is not limited to known attack scenarios and does not need extra domain knowledge except for training the classifier.

Wireless Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) are becoming highly applicable in many fields. Due to MANETs special characteristics, secure routing may be one of the most difficult areas to deal with as opponents can add themselves to a MANET using the existing common routing protocols. This paper proposes a new model of routing protocol called ARANz, which is an extension of the original Authenticated Routing for Ad-Hoc Networks (ARAN). Later, we will demonstrate that apart from the authentication methods adopted from ARAN, ARANz aims to increase security, achieve robustness and solve the single point of failure and attack problems by introducing multiple Local Certificate Authority servers. We will reveal that via dealing with the network as zones and using restricted directional flooding, our new model will exhibit better scalability and performance.

This paper introduces a system, called Ubiquitous Multi-Processor (UMP) system, which constructs a dataflow network dynamically by connecting function-specific execution modules. We developed a general-purpose execution module (GP-PE) which performs an equivalent Junction to SS-PE by downloading the software library to improve the efficiency of development and reconfigure the function dynamically. This paper shows overhead time is 200ms caused by network communication among PEs using 1000 Base-T, on decentralized network where a client module, management modules, and calculation modules including GP-PE are deployed, comparing it with the system performance on a single PC. The experimental result presents the adaptability of GP-PE to UMP system in general use. Moreover, the ratio of the overhead time of the library to downloading time for general using is clarified. It becomes useful parameter to decide method of downloading DPL.

This research concerns a system, which is called Ubiquitous Multi-Processor (UMP) system, which constructs dataflow network dynamically by connecting function-specific execution modules. The software model of the system was developed consisting only of application-specific execution modules (SS-PE) providing fixed functions. We developed a general-purpose execution module (GP-PE) which performs equivalent function to SS-PE by downloading the software library to improve the efficiency of development and reconfigure the function dynamically. The GP-PE was evaluated on the loading time of the library, the processing time of a color space conversion application, and the configuration time of processing on a network. The results of evaluation show that the GP-PE achieves equivalent performance to the SS-PE. Furthermore, the GP-PE does not degrade the system performance regarding dynamic system configuration if the library becomes hundreds of megabytes. This result shows that the GP-PE is suitable for the (IMP system in general use.

The result of this research also combines the internet technology and the "virtual reality" technique to develop the internet accessible website on "Mechanical Product-Oriented Web-based Learning" system. The visual kinetic function of 3-Dimentional model for mechanic productions can help students to promote the comprehensibility of real time operation and the logic judgment of space thinking concept.
