Knowledge and understanding of success and failure factors, as well as how to measure them and the interactions between these factors have great importance for project management effectiveness. Project success and failure is a question of perception and that the criteria could vary from project to project A project that has been perceived to be a failure by one stakeholder may be perceived as a success by another. Therefore a study was conducted in India among the industries that are into inhouse software development, to investigate the influence of the non-technical components of the software development process, on success and failure of software development. This study reveals that practitioners' consider the level of customer/user involvement, software process management, and estimation & schedule contribute most to project success and failure and from organizational perspective the level of customer/user involvement, project manager/staff and software process management contribute most to project success and failure.

Feature recognition of multi-class imaginary movements is an important subject of brain-computer interface based on imaginary movement. In this paper, using the method of two-dimensional time-frequency analysis combined with Fisher separability analysis to study multi-channel synchronization, multi-class imaginary movements' potential information of typical subjects. Also we have extracted the feature data of event related resynchronization/synchronization that could be used to identify different classes, and then use the support vector machine to establish classifiers, and have completed a higher accuracy rate of classification for multi-motor patterns. The result shows that the identification accuracy could basically satisfy the requirements of BCI systems under the circumstances that the subjects are better trained.

We have used SVG to animate the conference Logos at the Opening Session of each of the World Wide Web conference Series since 2002 and as the basis of a number of student projects aimed at developing tools to ease the prduction of SVG animations. Our approach has been to construct a path toolkit, called path-ology, for manipulating SVG path descriptions using XSLT. The three main components of the toolkit are support for basic transformations of SVG paths, adding a third dimension to give 3D effects and finally support for animation scene development.

Mobile ad hoc networks usually consist of mobile battery operated computing devices that communicate over the wireless medium and they have limited battery capacity. Many proposed routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks concentrate on issues like the packet delivery ratio, routing overhead and shortest path between source and destination. In fact, power constraints represent an equally important issue in mobile ad hoc networks operations. A power effective source routing protocol reduces the energy consumption of the nodes in a mobile ad hoc network by routing packets on routes that consumes the minimum amount of energy to get the packets to their destination. In this paper, I have proposed a power routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. The goal of my protocol is to reduce power consumption in transmission and balance power consumption of nodes to increase the life time of the whole network.

Grid technology opens the way to build collaborative environments that enable distributed multi-organizational teams to jointly use computing resources. In this paper, we analyzed the aims and main tasks of Grid Monitoring and the advantage of GMA (Grid monitoring Architecture), then proposed a java-based design pattern of Grid Monitoring System (JGMS) oil the basis of GMA. The JGMS uses special agents to complete the communication between Producers and Consumers in different grid nodes. So, it can work on different platforms, pass through firewalls and be easy to deploy and use.

This paper researches on the transaction mechanism in ForCES router, based on the analysis of transaction requirement of ForCES, two phase commit algorithm is introduced and a state-machine based transaction implementation scheme is proposed. ForCES router test bed is built. The experiment result verifies the correctness and feasibility of the transaction mechanism proposed and implemented.
