The free swing fire monitor is suitable for the situation which is too risk to access for fireman. The fire monitor control system designed in this thesis has two control modes, wireless remote mode and panel control mode. So fireman can use it far from the dangerous fire field to aim at the fire and make it swing in a certain range. In this system, a MCU is used to process the control signals and limit switch signals, and give the control signals to DC motor correspond. The send/receive modulation TDA5101/TDA5211 is used in wireless remote-control unit and driver IC L298 is used to drive the DC motor. The design process and the scheme of the control system are present. The designed fire monitor is verified in practice. It is tested in practice that the designed fire monitor is reliable, simply and widely used. It is the first choice fire devices of all kinds of Fire agent. ©2009 IEEE.

determining the proper inventory method in arid and semi arid region is of great importance, hence transect-plot inventory method was proposed. Rahim Abad Pistachio forest with an area about 1882 ha located in 75 km of north of Mashhad city. These forests belong to arid and semi arid floristic regions. Transect-plot method was employed in these forests. This method integrates sampling with Transect and permanent plots. According to the results, these forest are coppice with standard and Pistacia, Amygdalus, Atraphaxis, Zygophyllum, and other species Constitute 26, 30, 25, 14 and 5 percent of species composition. These forests are enclosures and degradation effects due to cattle's are observed. Regeneration Situations are not satisfactory and most of the trees have been attacked by pests and diseases. The results showed that the canopy cover in pistachio forest is 4.54 and the density of trees per hectare is 160.72 (Pistacia 42, Amygdalus 48, Zygophyllum 23, Atraphaxis 40 and other species 8 individuals per hectare). The regeneration percentage of total measured trees and shrubs is 21% of which Atraphaxis, Amygdalus, Pistacia and Zygophyllum constitute 50, 31, 13, 6%, respectively. These forests were studied in forestry and silviculture points of view. Due to conservation and environmental aspect of Rahim Abad pistachio forests, they to be planned for development and area extension, till their sustainability continues for future. © 2009 IEEE.

Face recognition is one of the most spectacular and difficult biometric recognition methods because of the influence of the external factors like: distance, illumination, changes of person's appearances, glasses and other factors. The active contour method can be used to determine face features in a picture with following amendments: the image is filtered with PHP- image processing and GD graphic extension, the energies calculated in active contour algorithm are adapted so the continuous energy is approximated with the distance between two consecutive points, the curvature energy is normalized using the same distance and the vicinity of each point are calculated until an edge is detected and that point will not ¿move¿ anywhere. Another condition imposed by our algorithm is that points are forced to avoid moving along the horizontal and vertical axis and the result is a much faster movement. Detection of the face features can continue inside of the area detected as the face contour. Farther research direction will be oriented to approximate the shapes detected with the active contour algorithm using functions so that the bitmap image is transformed in a vector image facilitating the process of recognition.

Creating interaction models are most important part in the process of distributed interaction simulation system development. It is an efficient way for developing models by composition of reusable components. Most simulation system has high complexity in interaction and successful composition of models means correct in both syntactic and semantic level. In HLA, the most popular architecture and provides a unified environment and set of standard simulation interfaces between federates and federations, however, only provides syntactic support and is lack of semantic information. Base Object Model (BOM) facilitates and improves the semantic information of HLA model, and its purpose is to ease reusability and composition. However, there is no sufficient information for BOM discovery and matching in semantic level because that BOM has no rich and clear semantic information. In this paper, we discussed to enhance BOM semantic information by adding a Semantic Enhancement Part to BOM. The enhancement part consists of 4 sub parts: conceptual entity ontology index;pre and post conditions of pattern actions;pattern actions ontology index;and accepted language of BOM state machine. The enhancement part attempts to describe the dynamic information of BOM which captures the essential information in semantic level. Based on the enhancement part, a set of discovery rule is presented. These are a sequence of searching and matching rules in BOM discovery. Finally, we propose a way to achieve verification by CPN(Colored Petri Nets). ©2009 IEEE.

Digital Information Networks (DINs) connect all economic and societal sectors, bringing within reach all kinds of novel trans-sector digital innovations: innovations involving multiple sectors enabled by DINs. This paper describes a framework to conceptualise novel trans-sector digital innovations. Our motivation for this work is to systematise the development of DIN enabled innovations across different sectors. This work fits in an emerging scientific field labelled by some as services science, an interdisciplinary new area of study to address the challenge of becoming more systematic about services innovation. We demonstrate the applicability of our framework by mapping it to 20 trans-sector digital innovation ideas. Primarily, this works aims at telecommunication service providers looking for new revenue streams and IT service developers. With this work, the maverick vision of industrialising the development of trans-sector digital innovations comes within reach. ©2009 IEEE.

Service-oriented computing (SOC) is the computing paradigm that utilizes services as fundamental elements for developing applications. The modeling and analysis of services-oriented software requirements is one of important study contents in SOC. Owing to frequent changes of individual or collective requirements, continuous evolution of system function and structure, the study object of services-oriented requirement complete analysis is relative completeness of services requirements but not absolute completeness. Our study focuses this key problem of services-oriented software engineering. First of all, domain knowledge and software reuse technology are combined to present a framework of services-oriented requirement components modeling;then, constructing and optimizing the requirement components directed graph to automatically realize completeness analysis for service requirements;lastly, the concepts of expected requirements and excited requirements are introduced into our study for quantitatively evaluating the completeness results. The study productions provide theoretical foundation and tool support for modeling in semantic level and analyzing of services-oriented software requirements automatically, simultaneity it will adapt to the new challenges of software on network environments development mode and improve the agreement degree of stakeholders by a large margin. ©2009 IEEE.

How to create highly-reputable designs and hot-selling products is an essential issue on product design. This paper presents an experimental study to explore the relationship between the consumers' perceptions and product form elements, using one linear quantitative technique (i.e. the grey model) and one nonlinear quantitative technique (i.e. the neural network model). Thirty representative personal digital assistants (PDAs) and six design form elements of PDAs are identified as samples in an experimental study to illustrate how these techniques work. The performance evaluation result shows that the NN model is better to be used to construct a form design database for helping product designers comprehend consumers' perceptions, thus supporting form design decisions in a new PDA product development process. © 2009 IEEE.

The development of a wireless sensor network (WSN) gateway is challenging for sites where limited infrastructures lead to frequent power shortages and and network unreliability. In this paper we presents a low-power, low-cost, 802.15.4 and 802.11 compatible solution which uses open source software to meet local conditions. Using the SunSPOT motes on a system which is mostly platform independent, our system is based on the Fox embedded Linux board and equipped with a USB flash drive and a USB WiFi adapter. The system can be solarpowered, and the results of a solar system design are presented. All the hardware components are available off-the-shelf and are easy to assemble. We conclude that our system is preferred for applications in remote areas, where a stable power supply and a reliable network infrastructure are lacking. Furthermore, it can be used to extend the range of wireless sensor networks by layering a network of long range motes above islands of low range motes. ©2009 IEEE.
