The convergence of the telecommunications can be easily achieved by the combination of existing network technology and multimedia technology, but in reality, as seen in the actual implementation of IPVT, it's difficult to provide satisfactory levels of service to users due to issues of network bandwidth and problems of streaming system. IPTV user often experience slow response times. Therefore this thesis proposes efficient IPTV system for enhanced user experience. By making IP set-top-boxes share cached channel information and content with each other, reducing the load on the server and enhancing the channel changing time is made possible.

The paper describes the design and the implementation of the flexible, multipurpose RF (Radio Frequency) field Vector Controller for the linear accelerators based on the superconducting technology. The implementation is done for the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) based LLRF (Low Level Radio Frequency) control systems. The full process of the requirement analysis and the library implementation is presented. It is followed by the description of the controller's applications and the results of the performance tests. The controller fulfills the requirements of the various accelerator facilities and hardware platforms and can be easily adapted for the planned experiments to decrease their cost by avoiding expensive research and development phase.

The diffusion of computer technologies in everyday life has involved the birth of standard methodologies to control their development. Indeed, the purpose of standardization procedures consists of providing rules aimed to control technologies leaving no space for empirical improvisations. In general, medical software manufacturers provide their applications with graphic user interfaces (GUI) that are not compliant with any clear and standard usability criterion. The only guideline is the creation of GUIs inherited from the ones adopted on medical consoles because physicians use them routinely. This paper addresses this issue: medical software interfaces should be designed trying to overcome the limitations described above. The DICOM standard provides useful mechanisms to transfer medical data by instantiating the related classes and methods. The standard could be extended introducing new data and service models in order to create abstract GUI classes and instantiate them automatically depending on the medical data the physicians would like to analyze.

Collaborative simulation is proposed as a technique to support design evaluation with higher fidelity by addressing the interacting phenomena during the development of complex system. To facilitate the collaborative simulation, the High Level Architecture (HLA) was proposed and evolved as a standard with its interface specification, object model template (OMT) and rules. HLA provides a common structural basis for simulation interoperability and flexibility. In our presented research, we developed a simulation platform for an L-band TDMA wireless network in OPNET Modeler as a federate. In addition, we designed a device simulator federate and a simulation controller federate for this simulation. Based on HLA, the collaborative simulation for wireless communication network and the methodology for this study are proposed in this paper.

This paper was focused on the usage of modern electronic noses (E-nose) and SPME-GC-MS to classification the aroma compounds in food flavorings. Two kinds of shrimp flavorings were prepared, using shrimp (Penaeus Vannamei) head as raw materials. SPME-GC-MS was adapted to analysis the characteristic volatile of the flavorings. Then E-nose was used to detect overall product aroma as a kind of sensory array fingerprint analysis method. Principal component analysis (PCA) and linear discriminate analysis (LDA) were used to investigate the different of the two samples. Among the volatiles identified by GC-MS, hydrocarbons, alcoholics, ketones, aldehydes, esters, furans, pyrroles and pyrazines were the primary constituents of shrimp flavorings, and difference in volatile aroma profiles were observed between the two flavorings. There are more compounds of pyrazines produced after MR, which have characterized bake, nut, and meat flavor, and more pyrroles provide characterized full-bodied shrimp flavor. RSD of E-nose is under 3% and the similarity 71.5%. E-nose can able to successfully differentiate and identify the flavor between the two different flavorings. According to these results, it can be concluded that the combination of sensors and actuators technology with SPMEGC-MS analysis provides a great deal of information and a more complete picture of the shrimp flavorings.

This paper presents a support for the development of distributed virtual environments (DVEs) on P2P architectures. A hierarchical overlay is defined by pairing each peer with a weight which is proportional to its networking bandwidth. Peers characterized by higher weights are assigned a greater workload, in terms of connections with other peers and of number of passive objects they manage, and can act as superpeers that offer a set of services to peers characterized by lower bandwidth. Additively weighted Voronoi (AWV) diagrams are exploited to define a partition of the DVE that assigns to each peer a region whose size is dependent on the peer's weight. Superpeers are modeled by sites of the tessellation that have absorbed at least the Voronoi region of another site. A set of experimental results shows that this approach can be a load balancing mechanism for peer-to-peer networks, that does not impair usual properties of Voronoi-based peer-to-peer networks.

With the development of information technology, Web-based instruction is put into practice in China's higher learning institutions nationwide. This paper aims to explore the factors affecting students' use of the learning system The technology acceptance model is employed as the theoretical basis and questionnaire is used to measure the hypothetical model. And prior computer experience exerts significant influence on perceived ease of use, while excluding perceived usefulness. However, teaching content and communication variables produce direct influence on actual use of the system. From the results, some implication and suggestions can be provided, all these aspects considered, teachers could control these external variables and promote learner's internal perceptions. And then this could contribute to frequent usage behavior. In all, the self-access English learning system can be a successful and effective instruction model. Since the autumn of 2007 Self Access English Learning System is put into our research team use in Northwest A&F University. The questionnaire, interview, and longitudinal study conducted by our research show that, on the whole, the students' language learning ability improves dramatically with modern information technology, especially in aspects of speaking and listening. And learner autonomy has been enhanced considerably. Some problems that call for attention are respect.

In order to accomplish the product special requirements of customers and establish the product developing platform for non-professional effectively, the requirement feature and requirement agile expression model of individualized product were put forward. The logical meta model and physical structure model of individualized product requirement information were built, the basic management and operating of model integration, mapping, extraction, refine and recombination were accomplished in terms of XOEM based. The Man-machine coordination requirement information analysis was built to simplify spatial search of system. The synchronization validation of requirement compatibility was accomplished by Bottom-Up reduction to ensure the reliability and validity of product information which customer express.
