There are increasingly demanding for huge computing capabilities and complex processes managing technologies along with the development of large-scale parallel scientific computing applications. Taking ensemble prediction in climate domain for example, we discuss BPEL-based workflow for complex scientific computing management. The contributions of this paper are double-folds: on the framework side, we propose a job wrapping paradigm to wrap the environment depending applications with JSDL, and use a standard job submission system called GridSAM for job submitting and monitoring, which enables scientists to compose, monitor and run the applications easily with workflow system. On the algorithm side, we propose a job scheduling algorithm for the large-scale parallel applications based on job pool in the heterogeneous environment. As a result, the resources can be utilized according to their capabilities and we can achieve the load balance of resources.

In accordance with the development of recent computer technology, the dependency of railway signaling system on the computer software is being increased further, and accordingly, the testing for the safety and reliability of railway signaling system software became more important. This thesis suggested an automated testing tool for coding rules on this railway signaling system software, and presented its result of implementation. The testing items in the implemented tool had referred to the international standards in relation to the software for railway system and MISRA-C standards. This automated testing tool for railway signaling system can be utilized at the assessment stage for railway signaling system software also, and it is anticipated that it can be utilized usefully at the software development stage also.

Recent development of autostereoscopic displays demands the synthesis of more virtual views in wider baseline, an inevitable trend for future 3DTV systems. However, current standard file formats, e.g. multi-view coding (MVC) and image plus depth, encounter challenging problems to meet the request. Therefore, we propose a new file format, called reduced depth stereo image (RDSI), which saves the color and depth images of the left view and the disoccluded regions in the right view. Based on RDSI, rendering virtual images from parallel viewpoints along the baseline can be simplified as view interpolation that is not only very efficient but also consistent in disocclusion regions. Through experiments on both simulated and real data, we demonstrate the superior performance with several quantitative assessments for the adopted file format and the rendering algorithm. The results suggest RDSI as a better choice to meet the demands for the online synthesis of many virtual views in wide baseline for advanced autostereoscopic displays.

Along with uninterrupted progress of computer network technology, the application of Internet is increasingly abroad. Due to the variety of Internet environment, the corresponding software systems are more complex, and present many new characteristics. The development of complex software systems has not applied the development mode of object-oriented and component-oriented. Therefore people bring forward agent-oriented software engineering (AOSE) and software development methodology based on self-adaptive multi-agent systems. AOSE adopts the software engineering mechanism and method, including high level abstract, natural modeling, system organization and problem decompounding, etc. It can manage and control the complexity of software system, and is a kind of novel software development pattern. The paper discusses the self-adaptive mechanism of self-adaptive multi-agent systems, the software development process of self-adaptive multi-agent systems, the modeling method of self-adaptive agent modeling language and agent UML. Taking "international conference Management System" as a case, and describes the development process of self-adaptive multi-agent systems.

SOA (service-oriented architecture) is a component model, which can integrate the different function modules by defined interfaces in system. SOA technology has been used wildly in the field of enterprise realized the enterprise applications integration. Struts is an structure of MVC based on SOA, using J2EE based on the combination of Struts framework and Web application to develop information management system not only can effectively shorten the development cycle simplify the code and improve the efficiency of the system development, but also enhance the maintainability and scalability of the system. In this paper, art examination management system based on SOA has been established. The basic idea of the system is to integrate art examination resources freely and share data and functions. The art examination management system based on SOA can eliminate information islands, simplify applications. Finally it can make the automation and high efficiency of the management come true in the art examination work.

In this paper a study for very high efficiency targeting 99 % range converter is described. We have proposed a new soft switching boost type chopper based on snubber assisted zero voltage and zero current transition (SAZZ) with output diode fabricated "SiC schottky diode". The output power of 8 kW with the efficiency of 98.96% was obtained. The loss breakdown evaluation of SiC-SAZZ is discussed.

We examine the extent to which user-based subsidies can promote the sustainability and development impact of telecenters, where sustainability is defined in financial and social terms. We do this by looking at a coupon scheme used by the USAID funded eCenter network in Kyrgyzstan. The network consisted of partnerships with existing commercial computer centers which provided fee-based ICT services to their communities. The eCenter program temporarily provided subsidized coupons for Internet access and computer training to users of these centers. Using a mixed-method approach, we found that user-based subsidies have to a certain degree aided financial sustainability by bringing new users to the centers, some of who will, conceivably, become long-term customers bringing ongoing revenues. The subsidies also helped to "kick-start" operations during the initial stage of the project. However we found that the distribution of the coupons did not lead to any significant enhancements to social sustainability by, for instance, encouraging users from underrepresented social groups (though we did find that women were marginally more likely to take advantage of the program). Moreover, we found that the distribution of both Internet and training coupons favored more regular users of the eCenters. Finally, looking beyond sustainability to impact within the community, we found that the coupon program had a limited development impact on participating communities. For example, the population of users who reported economic benefits from using the eCenter (eg. subsequent employment or starting a new business), did not make more use of the coupon program than the user population at large, suggesting that the coupon program itself did not account for this benefit. We argue that, even in the presence of such modest positive effects, user-based subsidies still offer an intriguing model. As a result of the development of computer network technology, communication of information through personal computer is becoming more convenient. Meanwhile, it also gives hackers opportunities to attack the network. Therefore the communication security is now an important issue for multimedia communications. This paper proposed a hybrid encryption technique for the color image based on the multi-chaotic-system which combines Pixel-Chaotic-Shuffle (PCS) and Bit-Chaotic-Rearrangement (BCR). The idea of applying chaos theory on image encryption is because of the behavior of chaos system exhibiting nonlinear dynamics and sensitivity to initial conditions. Therefore, the distinguished elements of variables applied to produce encryption codes for the color-image encryption can increase the communication security. In this paper, the pixels of plain image are firstly disarrayed by PCS, and then their bits are rearranged using BCR. This method increases the key space of images, completely eradicates the outlines of the encrypted images, blurs the distribution characteristics of RGB-level matrices, and effectively protects against the decryption of exhaustive attack method. The test methods involving key space and correlation coefficient r are adopted for the security analysis. Eventually, empirical images are adopted as examples to prove the great encryption performance of the proposed method and also the good potential for practical applications in image encryption.
