How to identify a machine automatically generated paper is an active research direction. It is involved in machine learning and semantic understanding. However in this paper, we introduce a simple but effective method to quickly identify whether a paper is from a paper generator or not. We design and implement the detection system using LAMP, and Yahoo Boss OpenAPI interface. Experimental result shows that our method is useful to detect faked paper and can be easily adapted to other related work.

Service-oriented computing (SOC) is a kind of computing paradigm that utilizes services as fundamental elements for developing applications. In study domain of SOC, modeling and analysis of services-oriented software requirements is an important research direction. Because of frequent changes of individual or collective requirements and continuous evolution of system function & structure, the study object of services-oriented requirement completeness analysis is relative completeness of services requirements but not absolute completeness. This paper focuses emphases on key problem of services-oriented software engineering. First, domain knowledge and software reuse technology are combined to present a framework of services-oriented requirement components modeling;second, constructing and optimizing the requirement components directed graph to automatically realize completeness analysis for service requirements;lastly, the concepts of expected requirements and excited requirements are introduced into our research for quantitatively evaluating the results of completeness analysis. The research platform automatically provide theoretical foundation and tool support for modeling in semantic level and analyzing of services-oriented software requirements, simultaneity it will adapt to the new challenges of software on network environments development mode and improve the agreement degree of stakeholder requirements by a large margin. ©2009 IEEE.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is considered by far the most comprehensive and well-known model for software Process Improvement (SPI). The cost of having CMMI appraisal, including effort, time, and money is almost certainly out of reach for most very-small-sized, small-sized, and medium-sized software companies in Thailand. Thus most of them resort to the less expensive and locally invented standard in hope that they could improve their software processes and still stay competitive financially. However, to compete successfully in a long run, they need to formally implement and institutionalize SPI, using the more well-known and mature model such as CMMI. As more and more multinational companies outsource to asia pacific region, it even becomes imperative for the software companies to deliver high quality products in time and within budget to demanding customers. Due to the aforementioned needs, software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA), one of the leading government's arms that promote, support, and steer a software industry in Thailand, funded us in 2008 to thoroughly and formally investigate a status of the Thai software industry with respect to SPI, specifically the impact of adopting CMMI on the Thai software industry. The obtained results would then be used to form both near-term and long-term macro strategies, which would help lay down directions and push burgeoning Thai software companies to become competent players in a global software market.

Self-adaptive software systems can adjust their behaviors at runtime to respond to the context changes. To operationalize the adaptive mechanism, feedback loops have been advocated in many works. However, most of existing works focus on the architecture design to realize the feedback loops. How to model the required feedback loops remains an issue. In this paper, we propose a problem oriented approach for this issue. This approach models the system composed by the self-adaptive software and its context as an adaptive control system which is equipped with two kinds of feedback loops: context-aware feedback loops and requirements-aware feedback loops. To model the feedback loops, we identify five classes of software problems to address the different concerns of the adaptive requirements behind the feedback loops. We illustrate our idea by applying it to a cruise control system.

software development outsourcing is a contract-based relationship between client and vendor organisations in which a client(s) contracts out all or part of its software development activities to a vendor(s), who provides agreed services for remuneration. The objective of this paper is to identify various barriers that have a negative impact on software outsourcing clients in the selection process of offshore software development outsourcing vendors. We have performed a Systematic Literature Review process for the identification of barriers. We have identified barriers 'language and cultural barriers', 'country instability', 'lack of project management', 'lack of protection for intellectual property rights' and 'lack of technical capability' that are generally have a negative impact on outsourcing clients. The results also reveal the similarities and differences in the barriers identified in different continents. We suggest vendors have to address different barriers in order to compete in the offshore outsourcing business.

Various measures and methods have been developed to measure the sizes of different software entities produced throughout the software life cycle. Understanding the nature of the relationship between the sizes of these products has become significant due to various reasons. One major reason is the ability to predict the size of the later phase products by using the sizes of early life cycle products. For example, we need to predict the Source Lines of Code (SLOC) from Function Points (FP) since SLOC is being used as the main input for most of the estimation models when this measure is not available yet. SLOC/FP ratios have been used by the industry, for such purposes even though the assumed linear relationship has not been validated yet. Similarly,, FP has recently started to be used to predict the Bytes of code for estimating the amount of spare memory needed in systems. In this paper, we aim to investigate further the nature of the relationship between the software functional size and the code size by conducting a series of empirical studies.

In order to realize optimal distribution between two types of energy in HEV and assure the reasonable operation of motor and battery, an optimal method based on energy fuzzy control strategy is presented. The proposed energy fuzzy control strategy is modeled in Simulink and incorporated into the vehicle simulation software ADVISOR. Then, to the lack of the traditional method of getting membership function and fuzzy rules, it is presented that using the genetic algorithms optimizes the membership function of the original fuzzy logic controller. Finally, using simulation compares the optimized fuzzy logic controller and the original fuzzy logic controller, and the results show that the optimized fuzzy logic control strategy is effective in improving the fuel economy of HEV. software visualization with sequence diagrams is one of the promising techniques aimed at helping developers comprehend the behavior of object-oriented systems effectively. However, it is still difficult to understand this behavior, because the size of automatically generated sequence diagrams tends to be beyond the developer's capacity. In this paper, we propose a sequence diagram slicing method, which is an extension of our previous method based on a dynamic slicing technique using static information. Our proposed method is capable of accurate slice calculation based on high-precision data dependency and can support various programs, including exceptions and multithreading. In addition, our proposed new tool performs slice calculations on the Eclipse platform and we demonstrate the applicability of this method by applying the tool to two Java programs as case studies. The results confirm the effectiveness of our proposed method for understanding the behavior of object-oriented systems.

There is growing interest in applying agile practices in Global software Development (GSD) projects. Bill project stakeholder distribution in GSD creates a number of challenges that make it difficult to use some agile practices. Moreover, little is known about what the key challenges or risks are, and how GSD project mangers deal with these risks while using agile practices. We conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following existing guidelines to identify primary papers that discuss the use of Scruin practices in GSD projects. We identify key challenges, due to global project distribution, that restrict the use of Scrum and explore the strategies used by project managers to deal with these challenges. Our findings are consolidated into a conceptual framework and we discuss various elements of this framework. This research is relet,ant to project managers who art, seeking ways to use Scruin in their globally distributed projects.
