This paper presents a method to improve the performance of information Retrieval System (IRS) by increasing the no of relevant documents retrieved. There are several types of uncertainty and fuzziness associated with IRS like search term uncertainty, relevance uncertainty involved in retrieving of irrelevant documents. The aim of this paper is to eliminate different types of uncertainty and increase the chance of retrieving relevant documents. In the framework a method is proposed which first calculate query and document cluster similarity which not only retrieve the documents matching query terms as well as similar to retrieved documents by calculating the query and cluster similarity. This helps to reduce search term uncertainty and tries to reduce the fuzziness associated with document relevance in two steps. First modification is made in general term frequency-inverse document frequency (tf-idf) scoring mechanism to give importance of informativeness of a document contents and secondly calculating query and document summary overlap. All the above information is used to measure the document relevant score. Finally retrieved documents are filtered by Pearson correlation coefficient between query vector and document vector to find out only those documents correlated with query. In experiment standard NPL test collection prepared by Vaswani and Cameron at the National Physical Laboratory in England was used. After full implementation of above methodology it was found that proposed work is better in comparison with existing methods.

considering traditional watershed segmentation has a serious over-segmentation problem and marker-based watershed segmentation has a great difficulty in marker extraction, we proposed the improved watershed segmentation with optimal scale based on ordered dither halftone and mutual information. We made some improvements on marker-based watershed segmentation. Firstly, according to vision characteristics of human eye, we proposed a new marker extraction method based on ordered dither halftone. By using Bayer ordered dither algorithm, we obtained the dithering image of original image, which contained most of structure information without the disturbance of noises, and extracted representative points as markers effectively. Secondly, we designed a new index based on mutual information to decide the optimal scale of image segmentation, which we called the relative mutual information entropy index(RMIE), and used it to decide optimal segmentation scale from multi-scale segmentation results. We make a conclusion that the segmentation result with optimal scale has the greatest RMIE, compared with all other segmentation results. From the experiment results, the proposed method can produce optimal scale segmentation result with meaningful, separate and homogeneous regions, which satisfies the human eye.

Multiple interfaces can be included in the mobile device by using separate hardware and software modules. The mobile user always wanted to be Always Best Connected (ABC) as per its requirements and availability in a given scenario. This paper presents a novel vertical handover scheme applicable for ieee 802.11 (WLAN) and Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) based on ieee 802.21. The quantum communication is a new-style communication scheme based on quantum mechanics. It arouses much interest recently. In this paper, a novel quantum secure communication protocol is proposed. This is a quasi quantum secure direct communication protocol, since it closely unites the quantum key distribution and the classical communication. In the protocol, a key is distributed between both parties participating in communication using EPR pairs, the secret message is sent through classical public channel and the both are closely combined. The protocol applies a braid-based key agreement protocol to let both parties share a secret random number, whose size and magnitude are undecided in advance. It is used to perform aU the authentications of the communication. So the communication is simplified. The security of the proposed protocol is based on the no-cloning theorem and the fact that the p-th root finding problem on braid groups is intractable even on quantum computers, as well as classical computers.
