Personalized meta-search engine is one search engine that we teach the machine to learn users' interest, so the search engine can help users to pick up the useful information for them quickly by using their interest keeping in the database. Personalized meta-search engine can sort the results according to users' interest, the results that user likes will be the top of the results. It is a good measure to use Vector Space Model to help us implement the personalization. We use Vector Space Model to model the user and the results' interest, then we use cosine angel to calculate the similarity of these interest. This paper describes the design and implementation of this system by using result and user modeling.

This article introduces a computer Aided Instruction platform based on Augmented Reality. The platform can superimpose virtual objects and virtual characters on the classroom. Teachers can interact with the virtual objects and virtual characters by presenting and moving special vision markers. In the platform, machine vision technology is used to implement human-computer seamless interaction, Virtual Reality Modeling Language is used to describe the virtual scene, Artoolkit library is used to acquire video stream and calibrate coordinate, OpenGL library is used to render the virtual scene. For the 3D acoustic source localization problem (3DASLP) based on time difference of arrival (TDOA) technique, this paper shows that SDP relaxation of the 3DASLP is tight to the original problem. One can obtain an optimal solution of the 3DASLP by rank-one decomposition of matrices. So the 3DSLP based on TDOA is solvable in polynomial-time. Moreover, an algorithm based on semi-definite positive program (SDP) relaxation and rank-one decomposition of matrices has been presented. Numerical results show that the algorithm is indeed efficient.

The paper shows a working project that organizes a set of jobs to improve the learning of computer networking. It uses virtual machine to create a portable laboratory on which students do hands-on exercises anywhere. It first developed an ability indicator of computer networking. Then an online curriculum material is made and available on the Internet. Students are learning the computer networking with cooperative learning with hetero grouping. Pre-attitude and achievement scales were done with our developed online survey system. The overall result will be summarized after the experimental stage of the computer networking curriculum.

The adoption of Life Cycle Costing has been very slow although it is advocated widely in the world. This paper attempts to highlight the information flow serving as the requirement of LCC by illustrating three LCC analysis methods. Several issues pertinent to LCC information integration based on a brief and representative literature review is presented. An Owner-oriented LCC information Integration approach (OLII) is suggested as a response and its feasibility is analyzed by an empirical case study. In case study it is revealed that owner is more willing to integrate the LCC information and the agreements such as a call for bidding, contract even partnership with bidder and a Logbook with asset's users could work as gateway to facilitate, integrate, and reconcile different format data to an uniform tailored LCC model which acts as an underlying agreement.

the vision information of Web page is applied for information extraction, which avoids using the sophisticate natural language processing technology. This paper combines the natural language processing technology with vision character of HTML page in the application of information extraction for Web page, we carried out relevant research. We propose a Web Page information extraction algorithm based on vision character, we use the vision character rule of web page, in respect of the detailed problem of coarse-grained web page segmentation and the restructure problem of the smallest web page segmentation, we analyze the vision character of page block and finally accurate determine the topic data region. After using the information extraction technology of web page, it reduces the information block of web page content and thus reduces the cost of index generating, and also increases the hit rate of search engine.

The public sector information is of great value, and ought to be fully exploited. The re-use of public sector information is an important model for exploitation in E-government. The paper firstly analyzed some theoretical issues regarding the re-use of public sector information and measured the economic value of the public sector information. Then it discussed from a comparative perspective the different models of re-use of public sector information between the European Union countries and the United States and tried to point out how the re-use of public sector information influenced the growth and future development of the public sector information market. At last, several practical challenges and ways in which they could be overcome were given. The results provide practical guidance to the establishment of the re-use of public sector information which can be used for reference by China.

Visualization has been around for more than two decades. Various techniques have been proposed, and some have found their fitting places in many applications in documentation visualization, scientific visualization, etc. To our knowledge, no one has applied the Weibull distribution's probability density functions whose flexibility lies in their adjustable shape and scale parameters to the information visualization. It is known that the different shapes and scales of the probability density functions could statistically model and effectively represent underlying data. Most data could approximately be modeled by the functions, their translations their reflection symmetries, or a combination of them. We: therefore, explore the potential of the visualization technique which is based on the Weibull distribution's probability density functions.
