The proceedings contain 63 papers. The topics discussed include: cylindric filaments and velocity structure functions;universal equations and constants of turbulent motion;the vortex sheet model for a turbulent mixing layer;joint statistics and conditional mean strain rates of streamline segments;variable-viscosity mixing in the very near field of a round jet;decomposition of the turbulent kinetic energy field into regions of compressive and extensive strain;non-equilibrium processes in non-homogeneous fluids under the action of external forces;on the Karman constant in turbulent channel flow;compressibility effects in Rayleigh-Taylor flows: influence of the stratification;surface dynamics in LES of full-depth Langmuir circulation in shallow water;large plasma filaments and geomagnetic field fluctuations excited concomitantly by solar powered microwave transmissions;and a search for the dominant free surface-fluctuation frequency downstream of the oscillating hydraulic jump with the Bayesian spectral density approach.

In this research, we investigate an optimal method of commercial DBMS for analyzing large-scale web access log. Also, we develop the pre-processor in memory structure to improve performance and the user management tool for user friendliness. The optimal method of DBMS for management of large-scale web access log is the key issue in this research. We have three stages for this research. The first stage in research is data collection. In this stage, we study characteristics of large-scale web access log data and investigate commercial DBMS tuning techniques. The next stage, we design the system model. The proposed system has three components including pre-processor, DBMS and management tool. To improve the effectiveness the system, Pre-processor hash and sort log data in memory. And we perform DBMS tuning to improve performance. The final stage, we implement system and evaluate the performance. And we develop system management tool for user friendliness. The research output of this project can be divided into analysis of large-scale DBMS, DBMS tuning and system management software. From output, we provide DBMS tuning techniques for large-scale data log. Also it is expected to use of collected data and analyzed information in other area such as network security. © 2013 SDIWC.

The effect of anxiety emotion on information processing of decision making was explored by computer stimulate experiment. The results showed that people with high anxiety used longer time to processing information than that with low anxiety. The depth of information search of low anxiety was more than that of high anxiety. Individual with high anxiety was inclined to use heuristic strategies, and Individual with low anxiety was inclined to adopt analysis strategies.

Rapid development in the field of smartphones over past years has enabled using their multimedia capabilities in virtually reconstructing and visualizing architectural objects by creating 3D-models of such objects. Sustainable development is a significant research theme in various fields. With the developments to theory, the fundamental concept of sustainable development has expanded from only the environment perspective to now including economic, social and environment perspectives. As a resource-intensive industry, the policy, processes and practices in relation to sustainable development of the construction industry is critical. An important theoretical and practical concern is the creation of indicator systems that assist with the measurement of sustainable urban development. However there is no an internationally agreed one especially for construction industry. Past research and practice has tended to focus on the measurement of sustainability of the construction projects in relation to the individual projects or at the organizational level. Zhang and London (2011) generated a new sustainable development measurement according to the characteristics of construction industry, the availability of data and other sustainable development indicators system which have been proposed before. With the development of flexible HVDC technology in the world, back-to-back HVDC system based on MMC topology have more attention. A high power back-to-back flexible HVDC prototype has been developed to assess performance and reliability of construction of converter valve segment. Valve normal working condition(rated conditions rated voltage, current, temperature), valve transient working condition(temporary overvoltage, overcurrent), valve fault protection and anti-interference ability are accessed. Performance and reliability of control and protection equipment are assessed. The design of control and protection strategy is optimized. The correctness of main circuit design is tested.

Creating comfortable interior microclimate environment with comparatively lower energy consumption is one of the basic aims in building design. Combined with the comprehensive retrofit design practice of Wuhan construction building, the thesis investigates a set of practical building climatic design method which is based on computer simulation and analysis technology. Meanwhile, this article analyses the climatic design strategies of Wuhan construction building, and provides a references for architects in the conceptual design stage in the future.

In this paper, we focus on the problem of how to study ground fissure hazards in 3D way, and establish the 3D model of ground fissure. We mainly solve the expression of spatial distribution characteristics and principle of ground fissure in the digital environment. Projection-Deviation method is adopted to establish the 3D model of an arbitrary ground fissure with an inclination angle according to the actual situation. This method has been verified in Xi'an area, the satisfactory results have been obtained. The research achievement provides a new development tendency for studying around fissure hazards.
