To meet the requirement of networked urban mass transit, the characteristics of urban mass transit emergency decision-making was analyzed, draw lessons from the thought of case-based reasoning technology, the method which combine CBR technology with expert knowledge was proposed. On the basis of which, the emergency decision-making support system was designed, analyzed the system structure and function module, discussed the key technologies involved in the system, focused on the representation of retrieval technology and case contingency plans and case. Provides support for the modernization of urban mass transit emergency platform.

The personalized and collaborative information retrieval (PIR) track at FIRE 2011 was organized with the aim of extending standard information retrieval (IR) ad-hoc test collection design to facilitate research on personalized and collaborative IR by collecting additional meta-information during the topic (query) development process. A controlled query generation process through task-based activities with activity logging was used by each topic developer to construct a final set of topics. The standard ad-hoc collection is thus accompanied by a new set of thematically related topics and the associated log information. This better simulates a real-world search scenario and encourages mining user information from the logs to improve IR effectiveness. A set of 25 TREC formatted topics and the associated metadata of activity logs were released for the participants to use. We illustrate the data construction phase in detail and also outline simple ways of using the additional information from the logs, such as query and document click history, to improve retrieval effectiveness.

Based on the disadvantages of the current emergency management for high-speed railway, it is proposed the establishment of a scientific and efficient emergency management system. In this article, the general framework of the system is first described. Then, the major functional modules of the system are designed. Moreover, the system environment is introduced. In the end, the preliminary designs of the system interface are showed.

This paper proposes a scalable building facade recognition and tracking system for outdoor augmented reality enabling real time augmentation of various information onto the facade. The system is composed of three modules: recognition and tracking module, server-client module and GPS module. In the recognition and tracking module, Generic Random Forest was used for real time recognition and three-dimensional pose estimation of facades. For scalable recognition, global region is divided into multiple local regions and then, same regional buildings are trained separately into a forest. In the server-client module, client maintains own travel map in order to choose proper forest by employing GPS sensor, and server transmits a new forest when client detects never visited regions. This makes our system scalable and also expansible to new regions. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht.

As alternatives to heavy-duty vehicles, this project seeks to promote the development of Next-Generation EFVs, which will present a solution to the severe air pollution problem particularly in big cities, and drastically improve exhaust gas emissions and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in order to lessen the contribution to global warming. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) started the Next-Generation Environmentally Friendly Vehicles development and Commercialization Project in 2002. MLIT at that time entrusted this project to National Traffic Safety and Environment Laboratory (NTSEL). NTSEL as a core research organization organized a cooperative system with automobile manufacturers, suppliers, universities, academic experts, that is to say, industry-academic-government and launched the development activities. In 1st Stage (2002-2004), several target vehicles were developed such as, Dimethyl Ether (DME) Truck, IPS Hybrid Bus, Super Clean Diesel (SCD) Engine, and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Truck. In 2nd Stage (2005-2010), NTSEL applied following approaches;I. Commercialization of developed Next-Generation EFVs (Verification test) and II. development and Promotion of New Next-Generation EFVs. Activities in NTSEL for the approach I and II are explained below;I. Commercialization of developed Next-Generation EFVs (Verification test) Dimethyl Ether (DME) Truck, IPS Hybrid Bus, Super Clean Diesel Engine, CNG Truck, II. development and Promotion of New Next-Generation EFVs LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) truck, FTD (GTL) (Fischer Tropsh Diesel (Gas to Liquid)) truck, Hydrogen engine. In 3rd Stage (2011-2014), this project focused on heavy duty vehicles in the transportation sector due to their high emission of CO2, for achievement of the Japanese mid-term target of 25% GHG emission reduction by 2020. The development of models for automatic detection of text re-use and plagiarism across languages has received increasing attention in recent years. However, the lack of an evaluation framework composed of annotated datasets has caused these efforts to be isolated. In this paper we present the CL!TR 2011 corpus, the first manually created corpus for the analysis of cross-language text re-use between English and Hindi. The corpus was used during the Cross-Language !ndian Text Re-Use Detection Competition. Here we overview the approaches applied the contestants and evaluate their quality when detecting a re-used text together with its source.

Based on the existing triaxial seepage equipment, this paper choose the type of 2XZ-4 vacuum pump to provide negative pressure, type of CHF100A-1R5G-4 of Wei teng Ying transducer to control and make a constant negative pressure, and choose glass flowmeter to measure the flow of coal bed gas to explore the gas migration in coal reservoir during gas drainage. The triaxial seepage equipment after transformation can provide steady negative pressures on the range of -0.075MPa to -*** laboratory tests showed that the equipment can be used to conduct triaxial seepage experiments at different effective stress, different temperature and other conditions for negative pressure at exit.

To meet requirements of fast and accurate image retrieve, this paper present a new method to retrieve image based on shape feature. Firstly, the technique pre-processes the image and extracts the foreground object using multi-threshold image segmentation based on color feature. In division process, threshold value can be gotten by the quick sort made used of characteristics of the background and the target pixels difference in order to avoid massive computing of other algorithms. Secondly, contour tracking method is used to obtain the contour feature which described by Fourier descriptor. Finally, similarity is measured by Euclid distance measurement. In order to verify the effectiveness of the technique, a framework for image retrieve is constructed based on shape. The result of the experiment shows that the technique is effective for image retrieve based on shape.

In this paper, we study the use of exact approaches based on constraint programming and mixed integer programming, to tackle the parameter elicitation problem in the lexicographic ordering approach (LO). Like all multicriteria optimization methods, the LO method has the criteria order parameter that should be fixed carefully. Indeed, the criteria usually conflict with each other, and thus, finding an appropriate order between the criteria is challenging. This is why we propose elicitation methods in order to assist the Decision Maker (DM) in fixing this parameter. These methods require some prior knowledge, that the DM can give easily. We present some numerical experiments, showing the effectiveness of our approaches. © 2013 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.

National architecture is the important carrier of national culture. Nowadays in China, in the process of new rural construction, there is a new challenge that how to improve the minority nationality residential building level as well as protect local building characteristics and avoid trend of "thousand towns have the same look". In this article, taking Dai nationality building as an example, using research methods like architecture and anthropology, the minority nationality village update mechanism and influence factors are explored in respects of family structure, building development, value orientation and the organization method, then measures are put forward to protect minority village local characteristics. At last, it puts forward that interdisciplinary national architecture research system shall be established which covers humanity, economy, architecture and other courses, to carry forward and develop the varied and colorful national architecture culture in China.
