The dramatic growth of the amount of information that is made available through computer systems and the increasing need to access relevant information anywhere at any time are more and more overwhelming the cognitive capacity of human users. Instead of providing the right information at the right time, current computer systems are geared towards providing all information at any time. For many future applications, the integration of embedded systems from multiple smart spaces is a primary key to provide a truly seamless user experience. The project PECES has worked during the last two years to offer the technological basis to enable the global cooperation of embedded devices residing in different smart spaces in a context-dependent, secure, and trustworthy manner. The main output of this paper relies on the set of tools developed to create PECES based applications in an easy and understandable way for developers.

Image spam has become a new obfuscating method to bypass conventional text based spam *** this paper,a new kind of image spam filtering method is proposed based on the characteristics of the spam being sent repeatedly and their contents being highly resemble to each *** extract sub-block color histogram and ORB as image feature and run a scalable vocabulary tree to detect image *** system is tested on Mark Dredze's dataset and our own Chinese image spam *** results demonstrate that the proposed method can achieve good accuracy while having a less than 0.02% false positive rate.

In this paper we propose a denoising method under the powerful framework-non local means (NL-means), in conjunction with regression analysis. First, the conception and development of NL-means is proposed. Second, an image important area map (HAM) is calculated for the protection of edge and structure regions during denoising. Therefore, improved version of NL-means is carried out, which uses a novel patch similarity calculation rule benefited from HAM. This algorithm can better extract and smooth the important information in the noisy image and finally, experimental results validate the proposed algorithm.
