Although most of current databases support XML format data, the different interfaces they applied are lack of commonality. An XML exchange system is build by java and the standard SQL. The system includes two virtual platforms. Through the platform of virtual relational database system and the platform of virtual XML database system, the XMLdocument and the relational-data can be exchanged by ignoring the system platform. © The Authors.

Adopting the methods of the K-means and the SOFM neutral network in the data mining and basing on the characteristics of data of petroleum pipeline, a system is built that fits for the data mining and the evaluation on the effects of the clustering data. In view of the present situation that network security equipments are deployed widely but their security strategies are not open to public, this paper analyzed currently used general test method for network security equipments, proposed a general purpose framework for test devices based on multi-core processor and performed a proof implementation on Tile64 processor platform. The general purpose framework includes three parts: the General network processing module and special communication protocols, master controlled dispatching module and special equipment test module. In the general purpose framework, the special test module can be loaded according to current requirement. In this basis, several problems that often exist in network security equipments test can be solved, such as security strategy leaking, batch processing for test devices and synchronous online tests for equipments of different types. © the authors.

People are accustomed to using mobile Internet for browsing, chat, handling documents and emails to replace single GPS, MP3 and MP4. As the most portable personal information terminal, smart phone is undoubtedly the most intimate digital product. As different mobile phone operating systems have different interface styles and operation process inertias, there are different loyal users. On which system has the best man-computer interactive design? Windows Mobile is the software platform for portable devices such as pocket pc and Smartphone expands the familiar Windows desktop to personal devices. Windows Mobile has become a major mobile operating system. This system also has different interfaces. Through the analysis on three different operating interfaces of three mobile phone types to find out the advantages and disadvantages in man-computer interactive design. The result shows that windows Mobile operating system has the advantages in the man-computer interaction such as the interface has the similar PC Windows to facilitate the operation of people who are familiar with computer operation. However, windows Mobile system is complicated and difficult for people who are not familiar with computer operation. This is where Microsoft needs to be improved. © The Authors.

As the standard of living in Malaysia has increased, most of the families have at least one vehicle, typically, car, to move easily and quickly. With the increment of the number of cars in the road, the number of cars' problem due to tyre failure has increased. Often, the car is provided with tyre wheel nuts remover and jack for instance spare tyre replacement. Nevertheless, due to the difficulty in applying the required torque to remove the nuts, most of the time, driver rely on the tow truck and available nearest mechanic to solve the problem. This always happen to the elderly or female drivers. Based on the capability of torque application by these drivers, a vehicle all-wheel-nuts remover is designed. The remover is designed to be ergonomic to be used, easy maintenance, easy storage, easy to handle and able to remove all nuts at once. The design of the remover is based on standard pitch circle diameter (PCD) of 100 mm and 4 numbers of nuts for most of the cars available.

Because of the exhaustive exploitation of the surface minerals and the shallow ones, people have to explore the minerals in the deeper layers of the earth. However, it seems always uncertain that how much storage of the minerals and where the minerals are distributed in the deep earth. Petrel software combines the strong functions of 3D modeling and numerical simulation together, which can efficiently develop and manage the study area. This paper introduced the main modeling procedure, the stages of modeling of Petrel. Furthermore, Petrel forecasted the distribution and reserves of gold mineral using facies modeling, which provided strong support for the decision of the exploration and development. As an innovation point, this paper explored the technological realization of the transplantation of the 3D model between the Petrel software and the 3DMAX software for the first time, and achieved perfect effect. At last, the Yelmand gold mining case study indicated that Petrel could quickly build tectonic model, stratum model and lithofacies model with the help of the function of stochastic facies modeling algorithm and powerful human-machine interaction in 3D modeling, which was helpful to the recognition and further extraction of the study object. © the authors.

Many schemes of interpolation can be used for mapping from various coordinates of the numerical weather predictions (NWP) to the vertical coordinates of data assimilation systems. While most of the schemes do not imply the availability of a corresponding vertical mapping between the coordinates, even they are not implemented expediently. This leads to very noisy gradient with large unrealistic spikes which are simulated by the fast radiance transfer(RT) model for the first guest values from the numerical weather system and, consequently to incorrect data assimilation. The memorandum analyses a new algorithm of piecewise weighted integral interpolation applied in the Radiative Transfer for TIROS Operation Vertical Sounders (RTTOV). Experimental results show that the internal interpolation incorporated into RTTOV can map the coordinate of NWP model to the coordinate of data assimilation system flexibility, and can use the atmospheric information of the profiles on coordinate of NWP model sufficiently. Also the internal RTTOV interpolation can avoid "blind" levels derived from the nearest-neighbor log-linear interpolator and successfully retain the smooth structure of the radiance gradients. © the authors.
