Designing a low cost structured light system which can acquire 3D data in real time with great accuracy is still an ongoing topic among computer vision community as it is hard to achieve all these features together. Among various structured light systems, pseudorandom array is the most suitable technique for real time 3D reconstruction as it tends to concentrate the entire coding scheme in a single pattern. But it has the difficulty of decoding the pattern when it loses few pattern symbols. In this paper, we address this problem by introducing an error correcting 3D scanning technique. This technique consists of a two way decoding method which can decode a dual pseudorandom array and a hole-filling algorithm. In the experimental results, we show that our 3D scanning technique largely improves the reconstruction compared to the conventional methods.

The feed water system is one of the most important system for nuclear power plant. Based on an analysis for the working principles of the AP1000 plant main feed water system, a novel fault Petri net model and fault diagnosis method are proposed. The main feed water flow low alarm is a serious fault for the feed water system, Petri net theory is adopted to establish the fault model for this fault signal. Through the consequence and account for this model, fault reasons and reasons probability for the main feed water flow low have been obtained. application shows that, the fault Petri net has more advantages than the fault tree in qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation. And this method is a new route for the nuclear plant systems' fault diagnosis.

Traffic road network is one of the fundamental components in Intelligent Transportation system (ITS). This paper analyses the requirement for traffic road network in ITS, and constructs a lane-based road network model. The model which describes traffic network from different levels is composed of 5 kinds of elements: link, node, arc, lane and lane connector. In level-1, the basic unit of the model is link or arc, which represents the road section with the constant traffic organization. That means the number of lanes, the attributes of lane and the topological relationship between lanes in link or arc are constant. In level-2, lane and lane connector give the detail information of the network based on arcs. This model can support various research andapplication fields in ITS. Finally, we take the network modeling in traffic simulation as an example. The simulation traffic network in TransModeler is extracted automatically from the traffic network database that is constructed on the lane-based network model.

A novel multi-scale operator for unorganized 3D point clouds is introduced. The Difference of Normals (DoN) provides a computationally efficient, multi-scale approach to processing large unorganized 3D point clouds. The application of DoN in the multi-scale filtering of two different real-world outdoor urban LIDAR scene datasets is quantitatively and qualitatively demonstrated. In both datasets the DoN operator is shown to segment large 3D point clouds into scale-salient clusters, such as cars, people, and lamp posts towards applications in semi-automatic annotation, and as a pre-processing step in automatic object recognition. The application of the operator to segmentation is evaluated on a large public dataset of outdoor LIDAR scenes with ground truth annotations.

This paper presents the main CAD computer aided design elements of an automatised assembly/test line, destined for work posts for the assembly/testing of the subsystem-carcass, in agreement with Compa SA Sibiu. The carcass is part of the turbo-compressor assembly (compressor + turbine) of a testing equipment. The analyzed line contains 7 work posts, with direct application to the assembly/test disc type parts but it can be generalized to the serving, to the purpose of testing, of many such posts in a automatised assembly line and carcass checking. Because carcass with lacking or inconsistent processing can end up on the assembly line, it has been decided to design and produce an automated line, so these things should not happen, because these part son an automated assembly line can cause the stopping of automated flux until the faulty part is being replaced.
