We contribute an empirically derived noise model for the Kinect sensor. We systematically measure both lateral and axial noise distributions, as a function of both distance and angle of the Kinect to an observed surface. The derived noise model can be used to filter Kinect depth maps for a variety of applications. Our second contribution applies our derived noise model to the KinectFusion system to extend filtering, volumetric fusion, and pose estimation within the pipeline. Qualitative results show our method allows reconstruction of finer details and the ability to reconstruct smaller objects and thinner surfaces. Quantitative results also show our method improves pose estimation accuracy.

In multibeam bathymetric systems, the presence of noise greatly reduces the reliability of phase difference estimation, and effective filtering is an urgent need. Aiming at the feature that the impact of noise varies over the measuring swath, the paper proposes a design of variable bandwidth filter. Compared with the fixed bandwidth filter commonly used, the variable bandwidth filter can increase the signal to noise ratio effectively with less computation and the structure is convenient for the real-time implementation on digital signal processor. It is proved through computer simulation and the implementation on FPGA is given to prove the realizability of the signal processing method of variable bandwidth filter.

Existing software typically deals poorly with large-scale or heterogeneous computersystems, relying on multiple poorly interacting or special-purpose software interfaces to approach scaling/heterogeneity;attempting to use these approaches on future computers (especially at exascale) will only make matters worse. To solve this problem, software components may be bro- ken up into pieces, called" codelets", that can be dynamically scheduled without reliance on binding to any one thread or hardware component in relation to other codelets. By placing a supporting runtime layer between the system interface and codelet-based application, a very high degree of parallelism can be exposed, scaled, and scheduled to use the available hardware efficiently and intelligently. A codelet- based runtime can be used to create a clear path forward to exascale, as well as to deal with computing challenges in the interim. Copyright 2012 ACM.

It has the advantages of simple structure, clear physical meanings of parameters, good control effect and strong robustness. On the analysis of the mathematical model of brushless DC motor and the control method. We can use fuzzy PID controller in brushless dc motor control while use of fuzzy control principle of PID parameters adjustment online. Moreover on the basis of Fuzzy Toolbox of MATLAB in application and Simulink for brushless dc motor speed control system was simulated. Experimental results show that the fuzzy PID control has better static and dynamic performance, control accuracy also rises greatly compared with the traditional PID control.

An energy consumption monitoring and management system was established in the wind tunnel center of Tongji University. The hardware of the system included electronic measuring instrument, programmable logic controller (PLC) and an energy-saving data collection server, EcoWebServer IL The electronic measuring instrument collected electric parameters of each circuit node and EcoWebServer II monitored and stored the energy consumption data. The software of the system included project management module, system configuration module, system maintenance module and data monitoring and analysis module. In the data analysis module, an energy consumption model was developed with the decision tree algorithm. The model can predict the hourly electricity consumption of the office building in wind tunnel center. The equipment energy consumption also can be analyzed and the warm-up time can be predicted using collected data. The users can reduce the warm-up time to save energy consumption.
