Shipboard arresting gear is a special aero-carrier unit that is designed to provide an efficient arrestment of the deck jet-fighters of masses 15-25 tons with landing velocities between 180 and 240 km/h. In the current paper, a full-scale arresting system model is created. Main elements of the arresting system consist of cables and hydraulic system. The model contains all basic elements of the real prototype and is employed to analyze the dynamic behavior of the arresting gear with different scenarios. The stroke of cam is enlarged to increase the capacity of arresting gear. The finite element methodology is employed to analyze the dynamic behavior of cables. The developed model is used to obtain parameters of the arresting process fighter displacement, velocity, acceleration vs. time, as well as pressure in the hydraulic system and tensile force in the cable.

The increasing number of mobile terminals facilitates the development of context-aware applications. However, developing a context aware application is still a complex work, which involves mechanisms of context acquisition and context processing. In order to release the developer’s burden, many context aware frameworks emerged. But none of them yet has sufficient consideration of mobile environment characteristics. Besides, restricted to the mobile platform, the developed application could not achieve cross-platform deployment. A cross-platform context-aware application developing framework for mobile terminals is proposed in this paper. This framework could shield system differences, centralize context acquisition, context modeling, context storing, context interpretation and context aggregation for many context aware applications on the same terminal. Applying the framework, data of same sensor would not be duplicated processed by many context aware applications. Context aware application would be built faster. And mobile terminal resources would be used more efficiently.

Third generation and fourth generation mobile devices are providing various online services andapplications to facilitate users with their rich web interfaces. Limited computing power and shorter battery life of mobile devices caused computation intensive application components to migrate to the external computing resources. By elastic resource provisioning and the ability to support large scale service deployment, mobile cloud computing introduced an attractive platform for offloading the computational processes among mobile devices. In this paper we proposed a location based computation sharing framework for mobile devices in which mobile devices locating in the same cell can share their processing power. We introduced a certification technique by which all mobile devices within 10 meters ranges can share their processing power using Bluetooth technique without traditional 2 step verification process.
