In dependent task scheduling algorithms, task duplication is the finest scheduling technique for minimizing the response time of workflow application in grid computing system. When we apply task duplication scheduling algorithm on workflow application, we get shorter schedules (makespan) but it has one limitation that grid node can be overloaded due to duplications of tasks. In this paper we are proposing an algorithm in which we are focusing on three points (1) reducing makespan (2) reducing tasks duplication, and (3) achieving better processor utilization. For this we have suggested an algorithm (TLD-P) which is achieving good results for considered parameters as compared to the existing HLD and EDS-G algorithm.

This article presents a method to use CAD/CAM applications as a source of information for the demands the electric drive trains in a specific machine tool have to meet when executing a NC program. The electric drive trains limiting the machine tool dynamic can be identified and possible improvements to these drive trains can be proposed. Furthermore, the knowledge of the dynamic limitations of the machine tool and its electric drives allows to adapt NC programs specifically to this machine tool.

Water shortage and pollution are becoming more serious for population explosion and rapid economic growth. Hydrologic models, essential to watershed planning and management, can represent the complex hydrological phenomenon and is an effective tool to simulate hydrological process. This paper mainly discusses the theory of HSPF and automatic calibration with PEST. Analysis shows that HSPF is an effective tool to simulate hydrological process and PEST could calibrate the parameters quickly and efficiently and play a crucial role in hydrological simulation of HSPF. Finally this paper summarizes the factors that influence simulation result and provides some suggestions for future research.

At present,no intellectual games beneficial to both human left and right brain development simultaneously can be observed within China,oriented to which a design of desktop balance reflection ball system is realized in this *** main contents can be ***,with the participants' manual push torsion as the power source the direction of the handle control and the one of the game table swing movement of the system are made reverse on the principle that the cam swing exerted by the push and pull movement of the link rod is driven by the swing of the tee iron;thus,the control direction of the ball is made reverse with the one of human thinking ***,the game platform is made into a structure freely adjustable labyrinth pattern,and for convenience of operators of different heights the support unit is equipped with a height-adjustable triangle ***,several softwares such as AUTOCAD is applied to this system design in the establishment of the 3D stereo model,through which the efficiency and quantity of the design are improved and the development circle of the system prototype is thus shortened.

An interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller (IT2FLC) is proposed in this paper for the design of power system stabilizer (PSS) of a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) and multi machine infinite bus (MMIB) system incorporated with an AC1A exciter. For controller design, memberships of system variables are represented using interval value fuzzy sets. Fuzzy logic based on interval value sets is capable of modeling the uncertainty and imprecision in a better way. The proposed controller performance is compared with the optimal lead lag and optimal type-1 fuzzy logic controller respectively reference to damp the oscillations of both SMIB and MMIB system. Simulation results reveal the superior performance of the proposed controller and also it is robust with respect to system parameter variation and at different disturbances.

Using information technology to reform manufacturing industry is the important way to promote international competition of manufacturing industry. Networked manufacturing is an important part in Manufacture Information Engineering, it becomes a development direction of manufacturing industry in 21st century. In combining with the experiments and researches of the subject, this paper discusses current status of domestic and world networked manufacturing system, and studies information management technology on networked manufacturing system, such as communication technology of networked manufacturing, effective management and security on networked manufacturing, and designs models that correspond with the networked manufacturing system, including a communication model, an effective management model and a safe model. The practice indicates that these models have guaranteed the information management of networked manufacturing system effectively. Finally, the development of information management on networked manufacturing system is prospected.

This paper addressed a new approach of online diagnosis of induction motor with broken bar fault based on advanced digital filtering,ZOOM-FFT and acquiring slip by Rotor Slot Harmonics(RSH) techniques,the slip rate is accurately estimated from the precise measurements of the harmonic components of rotor and the power supply frequency,which enables us find the characteristic spectrum of a rotor with broken bar from the stator current ***,the motor broken bar fault can be detected by checking the existence of the characteristic *** proposed method overcomes the drawback of traditional current spectral analysis *** particular,this paper addresses the problem that the side lobe spectral components are covered by the fundamental frequency and the *** the reliability of the fault detection method is *** experiment results have shown that the improved method is able to detect small broken rotor bar fault with good application value.

Proposed a Simplified Gated control strategy for polling scheduling mechanism of clustering algorithm in WSN. A corresponding analytical model was established according to the embedded Markov chain theory to analyze the Simplified Gated service polling system in discrete time. Through the establishment of probability generating function for center transfer access in polling moment, accurately analyzed average queue length, average cycle time and average waiting delay of information frame of the system. The research of polling control mechanism with Simplified Gated service and experimental performance analysis under different parameters showed that the polling scheduling model was more effective in the application of WSN based on clustering control strategy.

"There is a great deal of difference between an eager man who wants to read a book and a tired man who wants a book to read" - G.K. Chesterton With the colossal collection of traditional and digital including books, journals, audio materials, photographs, e-journals, e-books, web resources and more in recent years, finding an o'nymous item is becoming more and more difficult, resulting in a number of practical conflicts. The accessing and the procurement of the details pertaining to a publication is becoming an ubiquitous problem. Widespread use of wireless technologies paired with the recent advances in the wireless applications, manifests that digital data dissemination could be the key to solve emerging problems. Wireless Sensor Network technology has attracted increased attention and is rapidly emerging due to their enormous application potential in diverse fields. This buoyant field is expected to provide an efficient and cost-effective solution to the effluent problems. This paper proposes a SmArt LibrARY (SALARY) system based on wireless sensor network technology which provides advanced features like automatic update in the addition/deletion of a publication, automated guidance, and item reservation mechanism. The paper describes the overall system architecture of SALARY from hardware to software implementation in the view point of sensor networks. We implemented a full-fledged prototype system for library management to realize the design functionalities and features mentioned. Our preliminary test results show that the performance of this WSN based system can effectively satisfy the needs and requirements of existing integrated library system hassles thereby minimizing the time consumed to find the slot of thou publication, real-time information rendering, and smart reservation mechanisms. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.
