We report a method of the color variation in the reflective CLC displays depending on thermodynamically and the electric field *** reflective wavelength can be thermodynamically switched to reflect green from a cell initially reflecting a red ***,the reflective wavelength can be electrically switched to reflect blue *** is found that continuous decrease of the pitch is mainly originated from the dopant solubility below the critical temperature and stepwise decrease of the pitch is dominantly affected by the thermodynamic property above the critical *** blue color change is a result of the compression to the helical pitches in planar layers in response to the applied voltage.

In this paper, an antenna used in an ingestible capsule endoscope system is proposed. To achieve miniaturization and a wide bandwidth, an inverted-F antenna with a meandered strip line was used. The antenna performance in a human voxel model is analyzed through simulation. In order to investigate the performance of the proposed antenna in an indoor environment, a typical sickroom model is setup, and the propagation characteristics between the proposed antenna and the base station are analyzed at 1.4 GHz. The performance of the fabricated antenna is verified by comparing the measured data with that of the simulation when the antenna is placed in a human-equivalent liquid phantom.

In this paper,a counting algorithm is proposed based on the signal ' s local maximum values of power signals and *** background subtraction process to eliminate clutter signals,several positions and values of the signal ' s local maximum values are searched for some prefixed number of *** sufficient values are stored in a buffer,an average of the values is *** the values,the number of values exceeding the thresholds is counted and stored as 1-st decided target s' *** improve the performance we vote with some 1-st decided target s' *** prove this algorithm ' s performance by some *** results are included experimented in the 6 m by 6 m indoor environment.

To estimate the coordinates of multiple targets,the arrangement of radar sensors is very *** paper uses four Ultra Wide Band（UWB） radar modules at four directions in the *** multiple targets,there is some probability to choose " ghost " targets（Helmbrecht and Biebl,2005） when targets are on the *** paper proposes modified UWB radar module to install radar modules at two opposite sides of the *** problem of diagonal situation could be solved by complementary cooperation of these two radar *** could be improved by using the relative error from the opposite *** paper verifies the perfomance of each method by simulation.

In this paper, we suggest a newly Voice Network Protocol (VNP) based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) using TDMA/TDD MAC protocol. VNP is implemented on mobile devices and VoSN Base Station for session management among large-scale VoSN users and interworking with VoIP based on SIP. We have tested our large-scale VoSN system and found that the packet delay is approximately less than 110ms.

In this paper, we demonstrate a novel architecture of variable weight Zero Cross Correlation code in the family of Spectral Amplitude Coding(SAC) Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) to be utilized in the triple play services of OCDMA applications based on the end users demand and requirements. This is achieved by adapting multiple weights of Zero Cross Correlation (ZCC) code onto one system to accommodate different Quality of service (QoS) requirements. The results are characterized by bit error rate (BER) and eye pattern simulated using OptiSystem software. Results proved a successful transmission of this scheme over 20km distance thus offering flexibility of independent QoS. It is also revealed that the performance is always better for users with larger number of code weight compared to those assigned with smaller code weight.

This paper discusses properties of the phaseonly correlation(POC) functions for stochastic phase spectrum *** the phase spectrum differences between two signals to be random variables,we derive general expressions of the expectation and variance of the POC functions,and show that the expectation of the peak of the POC functions decreases and the variances of the POC functions increase as the phase spectrum differences *** property mathematically guarantees validity of the POC functions for evaluating similarity between two signals.

As increasing the need of multimedia such as voice data using wireless sensor network, the research about voice over sensor network (VoSN) has been conducted widely. In this paper, we design a full-duplex voice mixer for multi-user VoSN system as group communication and describe the issues about implementation such as hardware configuration, medium access control (MAC) protocol, and synchronization among multiple users. To measure the quality of designed system, we conduct an experiment using sine wave. As result of an experiment, we expect that a variety of applications can be developed using presented system.
