In today's ever-changing Business world, increasing market demand and meeting it through service technology has made change management an inevitable one. Although there are many change management issues and solutions, there is no proper support for efficient change evaluation and monitoring. In this paper, we propose a dependency analysis approach for evaluating the changes specified by the analyst in an effective manner. This measure of change evaluation ensures that the business analyst has a direct control over the changes he makes and provides a sophistic environment which notifies the analyst about the outcome of change progress in a meaningful way. We propose a set of change factors based on which the dependency relation existing between the business rules, functions and parameters are analyzed. These change factors evaluated as part of the change evaluation leads the change management process in efficient and controlled manner. We develop a prototype system of the proposed model to demonstrate its effectiveness. We also conduct an experimental study to assess the performance of the change management along with the change measure as an output. © 2012 ieee.

The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) is setting up its high-level application software architecture. The architecture consists of back-end data storage, client/service infrastructure, control system connectivity, supporting libraries and front-end Graphical User Interface (GUI). The relational database and services are based on the Integrated Relational Model of Installed Systems (IRMIS) design. The GUI is based on Control System Studio (CSS) framework. Libraries, service, data access and GUI tools will be available as Application Programming Interface (API). The infrastructure and technologies chosen here will utilize the robustness and performance for applications, as well as support quick prototyping for physicists. The overall architecture and some prototypes are described. Copyright © 2012 by ieee.

This paper presents 3D simulation work for iondrag micropump. The commercial simulation software Comsol Multiphysics 4.2 was used to model and simulate ion-drag micropump for three different configurations of collector electrode. The purpose of the simulation was to investigate the ways to improve the performance of the micropump and analyze the effect of the electric field, fluid velocity and pressure gradient on the different design of the micropump. The initial simulation patterns reveal the behavior of the electric field, fluid velocity and pressure gradient in the domain of each of the design of the micropump. From the simulation results it is observed that at the top of the flow channel the fluid flow and pressure field is low because the driving electric body force is stronger near the electrodes surface and weaker at the top regions of the microchannel. © 2012 ieee.

In this paper, a cascaded multilevel inverter with selective harmonic elimination and battery-balanced discharge function (CMI-SHE & BBD) is proposed. The input of each level of cascaded multilevel inverter circuit is directly connected to a battery. Duty cycle of switch of each level is controlled to contain the ac output voltage with minimize total harmonic distortion. Additionally, the battery-balanced discharge function is also achieved. Finally, an equivalent model block diagram of the proposed system to verify the feasibility and advantage by using simulate software MATLAB. The simulation system results show that the proposed multilevel inverter with selective harmonic elimination and battery-balanced discharge function can eliminate harmonic and improve the cascaded battery-imbalanced problem effectively as we wanted. ©2012 ieee.

software defect detection has been an important topic of research in the field of software engineering for more than a decade. This research work aims to evaluate the performance of supervised machine learning techniques on predicting defective software through data mining algorithms. This paper places emphasis on the performance of classification algorithms in categorizing seven datasets (CM1, JM1, MW1, KC3, PC1, PC2, PC3 and PC4) under two classes namely Defective and Normal. In this study, publicly available data sets from different organizations are used. This permitted us to explore the impact of data from different sources on different processes for finding appropriate classification models. We propose a computational framework using data mining techniques to detect the existence of defects in software components. The framework comprises of data pre-processing, data classification and classifier evaluation. In this paper;we report the performance of twenty classification algorithms on seven publicly available datasets from the NASA MDP Repository. Random Tree Classification algorithm produced 100 percent accuracy in classifying the datasets and hence the features selected by this technique were considered to be the most significant features. The results were validated with suitable test data. © 2012 ieee.

Mobile phone video chat is one of the most important services based on the 3rd generation telecommunication. Supported by this system, the mobile devices can have a video chat with other mobile devices and terminals by wireless network anytime and anywhere. This paper implements a mobile video chat system based on a mobile client by researching the control of video rate, RTP data packetization algorithm, and error resilience based on the unequal protection. The practical application shows that the system can provide a real-time mobilevideochat service effectively through the mobile network environment smoothly. © 2012 ieee.

In China, as sustainable development strategy being implemented, quantitative evaluation of environmental load in steel industry has paid been more and more attention. In this paper, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was applied in evaluation of the steel production process, analyzing the energy and materials consumption of Tangshan stainless steel industry in 2009. Based on inventory analysis, environment impact, global warming potential and human health influence were evaluated with three methods of Gabi4.3 software: EDIP, CML2001and Eco-indicator 99 (EI99). The results of LCA showed us that the high energy and pollution processes were iron-making, hot rolling and sintering, and the energy consumptions were 1166.22MJ, 837.92MJ and 633.45MJrespetively. Iron-making process was most harmful to environment and human health, so technological and managerial measures should be adopted to reduce the impact. © 2012 ieee.
