This study suggests that natural sources may become an important tool in treating cancer. Neolamarckia cadamba (NC) leaves also well-known as 'Anthocephalus Cadamba', is a precious plant in Ayurvedic medicine. HeLa cells are one of the examples of eukaryotic cells type. It is derived from human cervical cancer cells. This experiment is conducted in different concentrations of NC Leaves (1μg/ml, 5μg/ml, 10μg/ml, 20μg/ml, 30μg/ml, 40μg/ml, 50μg/ml, 60μg/ml, 70μg/ml, 80μg/ml, 90μg/ml and 100μg/ml) for 48 hours. This experiment's result proves that the anti-cancer properties of the extract of NC leaves are by increasing the concentration of extract, the numbers of cell viability will decrease. For contribution, the process of NC leaves extract will be combined with the electroporation process to investigate the effect on HeLa cell. Electroporation parameters used for this study were (voltage 600v/cm, pulse duration 5ms, single pulse). © 2019 ieee.

In year 1969 when Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT) was formed; building satellites are costly. Hence, a miniaturized satellite such as CanSat and CubeSat, is introduced. The invention of microelectronics has produced these satellites with most of the functionality of an OSCAR satellite, allowing a more cost-effective space research to be conducted. Generally, both CubeSat with a 10 cm cubesized, and CanSat with a size of soda can, have the subsystems consisting of power supply, payload, altitude determination and control system, communication system and on-board computer. Commonly, CubeSat is developed using off-the-shelf computer system which is expensive. As for the past few years, many researchers have tried developing CubeSat's onboard data handling (OBDH) system using Raspberry Pi, for its cheaper price, as its on-board computer in order to provide control for a more complicated space mission. With the implementation of Raspberry Pi as on-board computer, School of Aerospace engineering plans to build a CubeSat to conduct research specifically on measuring electron density in the Ionosphere E-layer. Hence, this research project has produced a complete OBDH system with the ability to integrate with other related subsystems, as well as gather and store useful data which can be displayed on a web application for real-time monitoring and learning purpose. Besides, this web application is developed to provide a learning platform for all to ensure everyone have equal access to technical education to solve one of target in the Fourth Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Pavement distress refers to the condition of pavement surface in terms of its general appearance. Cracks is a type of pavement distress and commonly occur in a road infrastructure. Crack on a pavement surface shows an early sign of pavement problems and aging. Thus, it is important to detect a serious crack as soon as possible to avoid any road accident that might occur. This study shows a comparison of three popular methods of image segmentation; watershed, k-means clustering and Otsu thresholding for pavement crack detection system in terms of it overall performance. Sample of crack images from three different types of crack such as transverse, longitudinal and crocodile crack are captured manually using digital camera and from online sources. The image is then imported into MATLAB software where it will be compressed but without reducing its quality and pixels intensity. The compressed image is then converted into grayscale to make it easier for analyzing as the system only need to work with one layer instead of three layers (RGB). The contrast of the image is then stretched to increase the level of contrast between the crack and the background. Then, the image will be segmented using three different segmentation method that are mentioned above. Lastly, morphological operation is used to reduce the noise from the image segmented. The result of the segmented image will be analyzed in term of its Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The performance of the system is measure using images with a high level of contrast between the crack and the surface and images with a low level of contrast between the crack and the surface.

To improve the control performance of the lane departure prevention system, a segmented coordinated control method of active steering and differential braking is proposed. Taking the longitudinal velocity and road curvature as input and considering the driving habits of the driver in different lanes, the fuzzy controller used to determine the virtual lane boundary is designed. The control decision of LDPS is determined by combining the steering behavior index, which characterizes the steering intervention of the driver with the virtual lane boundary width. Next, the segmented control strategy is designed. In the first stage of the assistance control, the intervening time of coordinated control mode based on active steering and differential braking and the additional yaw moment when working in coordinated control mode is determined. A single control mode based on active steering is adopted in the second phase of assistance control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed coordinated control method is evaluated with numerical simulation and experiments on a human-in-the-loop platform. The obtained results show that the designed method not only can avoid lane departures effectively, but also provides a smooth ride quality to the passenger. © 2020 ieee.

In the high frequency link matrix converter parallel system, the impedance parameters on each line are unequal so that the output power of each converter is not equal. To solve this problem, the reason why the power cannot be divided equally under the droop control strategy is analyzed, and a power sharing strategy based on adaptive virtual impedance is proposed. This strategy introduces virtual impedance in a voltage-current dual-loop system with droop control, and uses the converter's power information and output power factor to adaptively adjust the amplitude and phase of the virtual impedance, so that different branches have the same equivalent output impedance to compensate The voltage drop on the line impedance, while adding the droop control fine-tuning compensation link, so as to realize the load power sharing. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can effectively improve the accuracy of output power sharing and ensure the stability of the system output voltage amplitude. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. In addressing the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic situation, the process of flattening the curve for coronavirus cases will be difficult if the citizens do not take action to prevent the spread of the virus. One of the most important practices in these outbreaks is to ensure a safe distance between people in public. This paper presents the detection of people with social distance monitoring as a precautionary measure in reducing physical contact between people. This study focuses on detecting people in areas of interest using the MobileNet Single Shot Multibox Detector (SSD) object tracking model and OpenCV library for image processing. The distance will be computed between the persons detected in the captured footage and then compared to a fixed pixels' values. The distance is measured between the central points and the overlapping boundary between persons in the segmented tracking area. With the detection of unsafe distances between people, alerts or warnings can be issued to keep the distance safe. In addition to social distance measure, another key feature of the system is detecting the presence of people in restricted areas, which can also be used to trigger warnings. Some analysis has been performed to test the effectiveness of the program for both purposes. From the results obtained, the distance tracking system achieved between 56.5% to 68% accuracy for testing performed on outdoor and challenging input videos, while 100% accuracy was achieved for the controlled environment on indoor testing. Whereas for the safety violation alert feature based on segmented ROI, it was found to have achieved better accuracy, i.e. between 95.8% to 100% for all tested input videos.

This document describes estimation and approximation process of bearings Remaining Useful Life from 2012 Data Challenge. Data were received with the help of PRONOSTIA Platform, constructed for the needs of ieee Data Challenge. This paper shows different methods of data processing to approximate Remaining Useful Life, which is very important in industries and it is the main part of maintenance. Tests were made on learning set provided by Data Challenge. Raw Data were extracted, filtered and analyzed using algorithms implemented in Matlab. During tests there were used kurtosis, root mean square algorithms and moving average, which helped to process data to be useful for next tests. Remaining useful life was approximated using exponential fitting and different length of original data. Process of analysis boils down to determine at what point it is possible to correctly determinate the bearing remaining useful life.

Autonomous systems are able to make decisions and potentially take actions without direct human intervention, which requires some knowledge about the system and its environment as well as goal-oriented reasoning. In computer systems, one can derive such behavior from the concept of a rational agent with autonomy (“control over its own actions”), reactivity (“react to events from the environment”), proactivity (“act on its own initiative”), and sociality (“interact with other agents”) as fundamental properties \n[1]\n. Autonomous systems will undoubtedly pervade into our everyday lives, and we will find them in a variety of domains and applications including robotics, transportation, health care, communications, and entertainment to name a few. \nThe articles in this month’s special issue cover concepts and fundamentals, architectures and techniques, and applications and case studies in the exciting area of self-awareness in autonomous systems.

The paper results from the “Information Security Inspection of Rail Transit Industrial control system” Development and Reform Office High-Tech [2012] No. 1424 Project initiated by the National Development and Reform Commission. This paper constructs a cloud-edge-terminal architecture for the full life cycle control of industrial control systems based on brain-like computing, and puts forward a new method for security guarantee of rail transit industrial control network and big data detection method. First of all, the excites vibration input test of external physical quantity is carried out according to the operation manual of physical equipment. The corresponding frequency spectrum relationship (based on the occurrence frequency of function of time series) is generated in specific applications according to equipment functions, and the function simulation is carried out. The obtained discrete physical quantity data of the test input/output sequence is generated according to a specific time-space relationship and operation flow. The data are stored in an exponentially large data tablespace elastically, which can be searched and used in sequence according to the time-space parameters subsequently. Among them, the data generated by each function point should be firstly processed by Kalman filtering and then characterized by AI to extract the behavior mode of function input/output. Through this method, the operation principle of equipment function (behavior) can be perspective simulated, and the security operation guarantee system of industrial control equipment based on operation flow is constructed to ensure the security operation of industrial control equipment.

Recently applied attempt for controlling the Air- Fuel Ratio (AFR) on a small scooter engine is by setting its value at the stoichiometric level. It is already done by the default Electrical control Unit (ECU) module. At some points when the engine has little torque demand or no-load condition, the stoichiometric level is not always needed and continuous operation on that level may leads into less-efficient fuel usage. Thus, the AFR should be set into a leaner value, but it could be very difficult as the ECU module itself is an unmodifiable device along with nonlinear characteristic of the motorcycle engine. The main goal of this research is to design an AFR controller based on Gain-Scheduled Fuzzy PID algorithm for small gasoline-fueled scooter engine. It is aimed to control the AFR value at the leaner level. The control system is consisted of fuzzy logic to map the throttle opening and engine speed for tuning each PID gain properly. The PID controller output is injector pulse duration that used for determining the proper amount of injected fuel. The engine is tested under zero-load condition with up to one third throttle opening. The results are the controller is able to control AFR at the leaner value and reduce 5.59% the amount of gasoline fuel used. © 2020 ieee.
