According to emergency of wireless body area network (WBAN), the ieee802.15.6 standard was established in Feb. 2012. A physical (PHY) layer, medium access control (MAC) layer and network layer were almost decided, however a payload in every packet is varied within [0,250] bytes. Since the low influence on human body and the low transmit power are required, the received signal to noise ratio (SNR) of coordinator depends on distances between sensors and the coordinator and varies in a larger region. Therefore, the assumption of noise free is no longer available. The discrete time Markov chain method (DTMC) is proposed to calculate the access probability of every sensor and analyze the performance of system with regard to packet error rate. The calculation method of power consumption is also proposed to correctly estimate the power consumption of WBANs that adopt the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) as a transmission protocol. The payload is optimized for every Eb/N0 in order to obtain the best energy efficiency. The calculation result indicates that the optimal payload decreases when the Eb/N0 decreases while the total data which a sensor should transmit to the coordinator is being fixed, whereas the optimal payload increases slightly in low Eb/N0 region when the total data increases.

With the construction and development of smart power grid, the power system is evolving into the system of accumulating mass of data and information calculation. The advanced analysis, the operation of security and economic and the systemcontrol are becoming difficult with the expanding scale and complicating structure of power system. The existing computing platform of centralized power system does not meet the above requirements, which has become one of the main bottlenecks in the achievement of smart power grid. Cloud computing just can integrate the existing calculating resources of power system and provide the powerful capacity of calculation and storage. Traffic simulation is conventionally based on travel time as input to the cost *** include vehicle emission into cost function and try to investigate its impact on traffic management as well as network *** the emission is the product of vehicle movement,we use a bi-level approach to model both the cost(with travel time and emission) and the *** are first carried out at a Braess network to illustrate principal ideas and DTA simulations are then performed on an urban network to find out traffic performance at a real *** main research question consists of finding out what impact of multi-criteria cost function has on network traffic performance and thus traffic management,and whether we could achieve improvement in both travel time and emission at the same time? The experiment and simulation show that(1) a careful design of cost function with survey-supported cost coefficients would provide a solution to an optimized routing in multicriteria traffic management(either at EU or SO),and(2) the network total travel time and emission could be effectively reduced when a routing strategy is well tuned and the emission is used as feedback in the system's control loop.

Considering the different quality of service(Qo S)requirements posed by the various applications of vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs),the characteristic of communication capacity is vital for the design of the Intelligent Transportation system(ITS).Although some scaling law-based results had already been obtained for VANETs to describe the general performance changing pattern when the total number of network nodes goes to infinity,they cannot be used directly to estimate the actual capacity of a communication pair or the entire *** make up with this disadvantage,a interference-based capacity analysis is finished in this paper for the VANET *** representing the unique constrain of inter-vehicle distance,which directly affects both the signal and interference power decaying,the car-following model is used to describe the vehicles' mobility *** on that,a series of probability characteristics are derived for the worst interfered scenario,which finally leads to the expected VANET *** believe the new results obtained in this paper will provide useful guidelines for the deployment of future VANETs.
