On-line laboratories (virtual or remote) are widely used in experimental engineering subjects as part of the learning process. In order to develop these laboratories, a development framework called RELATED (Remote Laboratories exTendED) is used by the Communications and controlsystem Department of the Spanish University for Distance Education of Spain (UNED). This framework defines a structured and methodological development procedure, allowing the students the generation of their own laboratories. Once the laboratory is developed (based in its components), students have to configure their own computing resources in order to make their labs available. However, several problems must be faced by students in the "deployment" of their labs: network configuration, hardware availability, and so on. So, in order to solve these problems, an automatic system based on cloud providers is defined to allow students having their own cloud network/resources for their developed labs. This system simplifies the lab deployment and avoids common errors/mistakes in the development of laboratories with RELATED.

Consensus theory is the foundation of multi-agent cooperation and coordination, which has received more and more attention from researchers in various fields. However, the previous control laws use only local information of the intelligent individual surrounding, which is often suboptimal. This paper introduces the state predictor, applies Consensus theory with state predictor to the study on consensus speed problems of Multi-Agent car system, gives the consensus speed algorithm of Multi-Agent car system, analyzes the influence of several coupled communication on consensus speed of Multi-Agent car. Compared with the previous consensus algorithm, the consensus algorithm with state predictor accelerates the convergence rate of the evolution of Multi-Agent car to the balance. Finally, the control law with state predictor is solved by Euler formula and the controller of Multi-Agent car is designed. The controller of Multi-Agent car is proved to be feasible in theory.

The extracted features from the QRS complex in the electrocardiogram (ECG) signal are considered mainly in the heart rate evaluation and cardiac disease diagnosis. In this paper, high speed approach named “Rising Falling Transition Method (RFTM)” is proposed to detect the characteristics of QRS complex in single lead ECG signal. The proposed approach applies single straight forward algorithm with two stages. The first stage takes the advantage of the transition from rising to falling edge inside each QRS complex as a base to determine the time locations of the vertices in a triangle that composes from the Q-wave end, R-wave peak, and S-wave onset. The second stage determines the time location of Q-wave onset and S-wave end (J-point) using a linear scan along short period which starts from Q-wave end and S-wave onset towards the target end points at Q-wave onset and S-wave end, respectively. The detector approach is able to detect QRS complex of different morphologies (wide/small interval, high/low amplitude, and negative polarities). The detection performance of the proposed approach is evaluated on a single channel of some annotated records from the QT database which collected from seven ECG categories and 48 annotated records from MIT-BIH database. Simulation results show that the average detection rates of sensitivity (Se) and specificity (Sp) are 99.84% and 99.94%, respectively for MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database. The validation results prove the reliability and accuracy of proposed RFTM approach.

Conventional network partition and pilot nodes selection methods for reactive power / voltage control are mainly based on the reactive power - voltage sensitivity, however, it is hard to regulate the balance of the reactive power in partitions and pilot nodes may over-concentrate in some regions. According to the community detection algorithm in complex network theory, an improved community modular index is proposed with the consideration of the reactive power balance degree in partitions, while the power grid is modeled as the weighted network with similarity weight. By introducing the concept of vertex degree and betweenness, a novel pilot nodes selection index is presented, which is based on the ranking of observability and controllability sensitivity and can evaluate the centrality and connection density of node. Applying the proposed index and method to ieee 39-bus system, simulation results show the effectiveness.
