Most of state-of-the-arts region-based detectors are suffered from the requirement of training for a large volume of bounding box annotated data. In this paper, we propose an innovative weakly-supervised architecture, namely SEP-Net, that employs an efficient proposal searching method on feature maps to generate region proposals via transforming CNN classifiers to object detectors without bounding box annotations. We further show the proposed framework can be used for real-time detection, in which high computation efficiency is a prerequisite. Moreover, the training procedure is exactly the same as what's for CNN classifiers, so is easy to transfer a pre-trained CNN to our weakly-supervised detector as well. Experimental validation on ImageNet 2012 dataset show that the novel model outperforms classical and most recent state-of-the-art weakly-supervised method by a wide margin in terms of both accuracy and efficiency. © 2024 ieee.

Aerial target detection is an important direction in target detection. Due to the limitations of UAV's volume and computing power, it is necessary to balance the time complexity and accuracy of the algorithm. This paper selects YOLOv5s as the benchmark method of the article. By introducing the feature extraction structure of shufflenetv2, the backbone of YOLOv5s is improved to reduce the amount of calculation of the network, and then the attention mechanism CBMA module is added to the network. Finally, the detection comparison experiment is carried out on visdrone data set. Experimental results show that flops is reduced from 15.7G to 3.7G. After accelerated by tensorRT framework, the improved algorithm can run 53fps on Jetson nano, which can meet the needs of real-time UAV aerial target detection. © 2022 ieee.

Air quality is constantly deteriorating with the rapid economic development in the 21st century, and air pollution has changed from the coal-burning pollution to the combined pollution caused by coal-burning, vehicle exhaust emissions and industrial emissions. Environmental air quality has been the key concern of people, in order to protecting people healthy, and it's greatly necessary to build a complete environmental monitoring system outdoors. In fact, most of the current environmental monitoring system at present has some problems such as single or partial utility, poor real-time response, wire communication needed and lag time response, et al. In this research, we integrated all of the monitoring functions such like PM2.5, CO, NO2, SO2, noise, temperature and humidity which are satisfied with Chinese environmental air quality standard (GB3095-2012) into one whole system, and it makes this monitoring system very convenient and well rounded to use. Especially, we combined ZigBee and 5G technology together, and it shows that this idea exhibit the merits of these two technology to solve the long distant wireless communication and the real time response problems which makes sure that all of the monitoring data can be transmitted to the information center timely and accurately. We used CC2530 chip for the short distance wireless transmission, and the ZigBee wireless sensor network was established by using z-tack protocol stack made by Texas Instruments (TI) Company to achieve short distance acquisition and transmission. Moreover, the a kind of field programmable gate array (FPGA) is adopted to realize long-distance information transmission by heterogeneous network with using EP4CE10F17C8 chip to convert ZigBee data frames into 5G data. The results show that this environmental air quality monitoring system can accurately realize the seven parameters monitoring demand according to the standard of GB3095-2012, and the monitoring data can be obtained by real time, wirele

In this paper, an observer-based control system is presented for the regulation of biomass concentration in bioreactors. The importance of the observer is highlighted by the dependency of the feedback linearising controller on the measurements of biomass concentration. Further, the discrete nature of output substrate concentration is considered and the performance of the system proposed is analysed through a simulation study using Matlab/Simulink. This study is also used to determine the limit on the sampling partition diameter for which the observer and controller designed give satisfactory performance. The implemented observer-based control system showed satisfactory performance both in terms of stability and convergence for given values of sampling partition diameters. © 2020 ieee.

Conical tank process (CTP) is used in most of the industries, namely food processing, chemical, beer production, pharmaceutical, and waste treatment plants. This unit is widely used because of its accurate and thorough mixing capability. Efficient operation of these industries would require control of enormous process variables within their specified bounds. Today, control of large continuous interconnected plant is a challenging task and needs complex control hardware. Although the conventional PID control algorithms are widely used, modern control method such as adaptive control can provide noteworthy improvement. CTP has nonlinear characteristics due to its variable area and control of level has become an exigent task. Most of the industrial process loops are interacting in nature and require enormous control effort to achieve desired level. In order to accommodate changes in process parameters, gain-scheduled PI controller (GSPI) is designed. A major implementation issue of GSPI is design of the switching function to have a smooth changeover in process variable according to the operating point variations. A fuzzy logic system is used to overcome this difficulty. In fuzzy gain-scheduled PI (FGSPI) controller, based on expertise of human operator fuzzy rules are framed, and with the associated reasoning mechanism, the controller parameters are determined. In this paper, the elucidation of proposed FGSPI controller is simulated on a interacting conical tank process (ICTP). A simulated result shows the effectiveness of FGSPI controller in terms of setpoint tracking, disturbance rejection and process parameter variations. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

An extreme pH level of the swimming pool water can cause a serious reaction to eye and skin of the users. The existing method for monitoring the water pH level at Seberang Jaya Public Swimming Pool is not efficient enough to monitor the quality of the water as all the processes need to be executed manually. This paper discusses the proposed Smart Water Quality Monitoring system (SWQMS) design, and the evaluation of factors influencing pH value and temperature of swimming pool using DOE and ANOVA statistical tools. The experimental findings reveal that time of day, pool volume and their interaction factors do not influence the pH value however time of day does have an effect on the water temperature of the swimming pool. © 2020 ieee.

A common practice in the Internet of Things (IoT) is to integrate the Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP), a lightweight application layer protocol based on UDP (User Datagram Protocol), in its architecture. While UDP does not have any provision to control congestion at the transport layer, CoAP and its other variants, such as CoCoA and CoCoA+, get around this issue by employing their own congestion control mechanism, a send-rate-based congestion control technique, at the application layer. These techniques estimate the send-rate through Round Trip Time (RTT), however, fail to map acknowledgments and re-transmitted messages, leading to inaccurate RTT in case of bursty traffic and thus performs poorly. To tackle this problem, the article proposes novel a technique to regulate the send-rate considering the current and previous congestion ratio, congestion factor, and throughput. The proposed method aims to regulate the send-rate according to congestion level in the network. The performance measurements of the proposed approach show significant increments in goodput and fairness as compared to the techniques used in CoCoA+ and CoAP in burst traffic scenarios. © 2021 ieee.

New energy power generation system, droop control field and ship distributed system have been widely used the control strategy of virtual synchronous generator (VSG). However, the traditional VSG control strategy neglects power decoupling ability and inertia in the torque governor and excitation control. Therefore, the voltage and angular frequency of the distributed generators units (DGs) based on the traditional VSG control strategy are easily affected by the power fluctuations and high-frequency noises, and the adjustment of the power is also easily affected by the coupling of the DGs. To solve these problems, an improved VSG control strategy combing coupling compensation, improved torque governor and excitation control is proposed. Its coupling compensation can make the impact less by the uncontrollable power coupling. The improved torque governor and excitation control make the VSG control strategy have voltage inertia and angular frequency inertia, which can slow down the change ratio of the voltage and angular frequency, and the high-frequency noises from the DGs can also been effectively eliminated. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed improved VSG control strategy. © 2021 ieee.

The number of vehicles on the road will continue to expand as cities worldwide grow in population. This increases transportation congestion, especially in major cities and especially during rush hour. This phenomenon continuously pushes academics, city authorities, and urban planners to enhance traffic control systems for safety and efficiency. The application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of intelligent transportation systems is getting the attention of many parties. A well-controlled transportation management system can reduce congestion, especially at intersections and roads. This study was conducted to observe and study the development of research in transportation management, especially the use of IoT technology. There are 743 documents according to the keywords given related to IMS and ITS, the period 2012 until September 2021. Mapping of these articles, both in terms of publishers, the relationship between authors, and the methods used from keywords, abstracts, and titles, is expected to help the author determine research gaps and future research directions.

As a wide-ranging distributed system, system Wide Information Management (SWIM) aims to provide an aviation information sharing platform that carries various information systems in the aviation field, so that the business of each subsystem can safely interact. As the data center of SWIM, the cloud storage platform has many functions and services based on third-party platforms. At the same time, it also brings the problem of a third-party trust crisis. In order to effectively verify the trustworthiness of third parties, this paper designs a new verifiable CSAC attribute encryption access control scheme. It introduces the cloud storage administration center (CSAC), and decentralizes multiple sub-authorization centers based on a subset of user attributes. The client uses the verification information provided by multiple sub-authorization centers to combine with the verification algorithm, which is based on the ciphertext access policy attribute encryption algorithm (CP-ABE) and introduces a secret sharing scheme that can identify fraudsters, and client can use this to verify CSAC. The credibility of and the security of key distribution. Compared with the previous solutions, this solution not only effectively solves the problem of the incomplete credibility of third parties, but also improves the efficiency of encryption and decry ption, and ensures the security of data interaction in SWIM.
