In systems and service engineering testing is an important part to get confidence in quality and trust in security issues. Standardized testing techniques support the unique definition of abstract test models, configurations and behavior scenarios that can be executed automatically. This contribution presents the state of the art and future directions of two international standards for testing: the Testing and Test Control Notation (TTCN-3) from the European Telecommunication Standardization Institute (ETSI), and the UML testing profile (UTP) from the Open Management Group (OMG). Special emphasize is given to the translation from UTP to TTCN-3 test models, automated test execution using standard-compliant tool support and related examples from European projects.

The optimization of vehicle scheduling problem in electric vehicle (EV) Car-Sharing systems has always been a hotspot with the rapid development of EVs these years. In this paper, a research and design of full service model based on vehicle recommendation and scheduling algorithm for EV Car-Sharing systems has been presented. It leads to efficient vehicle management when there are needs to control cars in the whole station network and recommend appropriate vehicle to customers. Based on the IOV (Internet of Vehicles) Platform for EV Operation and service, a new algorithm of vehicle recommendation and scheduling strategy for Car-Sharing systems is proposed that this problem can be regarded as a multi-objective optimization model. Through the analysis of EV Car-Sharing system model, factors like time matching, station recommendation, vehicle utilization and customer satisfaction have been discussed and data sharing is also the superiority in our full service model, compared with the controlled service model and conditional service model. Meanwhile, the algorithm has been simulated and verified in the station network model of GreenGo Car-Sharing system, which is a fast developing electric Car-Sharing project in Beijing. The simulation results have demonstrated that the proposed algorithm is efficient.

In this study, we interviewed two founders of design startups and investigated the features of and motivations for their entrepreneurship. We explored their entrepreneurial opportunities, environments, and resources, and examined their business performance in the first year of entrepreneurship. The findings are summarized as follows: (1) Both founders earned a master's degree, received many design awards, and demonstrated excellent industrial design skills. In addition, they had many freelancing experiences, established their own regular clients, and created a network of partnerships with other organizations before establishing their companies. Therefore, they clearly identified entrepreneurial opportunities, the entrepreneurial risk was relatively low, and limited resources were invested. (2) It is likely that the design business environment has changed since 2011-2012 in Taiwan. Governmental promotion of cultural and creative industries (e.g., venture grants, counseling grants) accelerated the interviewees' decisions to design entrepreneurships. The proliferation of opportunities to sell and exhibit works through physical channels (e.g., offline design stores, cultural and creative industry parks around Taiwan) and virtual channels (e.g., online stores, crowdfunding sites) have substantially decreased the difficulties of selling self-brand designer products. (3) Both design startups developed self-brand products during the first year. Developing self-brand products contribute to the value of offered design services, not only improve the manufacturing capability of design startups but also increase the visibility of design startups to potential clients through physical and virtual exhibitions. (4) The government is a crucial supporter of design startups. Diabetic Retinopathy and Age related Macular Degeneration are two major retinal diseases which are creating serious concern in today's age. Detection of preliminary signs of abnormalities due to these diseases is hard and time consuming for the ophthalmologists as the abnormal objects are very fine and small in size. As early detection of abnormalities can prevent permanent vision loss, a semi automated system is developed to detect the affected portion of retina and is tested with some retinal images. A training image set is used to train a support vector machine classifier. A test image set is given to the classifier for automatic detection of disease type. Efficiency of the classifier is tested comparing the actual value and predicted value by the classifier.

For better location based service or better analysis of human mobility pattern, measures for presenting frequently visiting locations are usually required. In this paper, we will establish related measures for specific meaningful locations. Location points as well as Location clusters are objects of the measurements. In order to represent the degree of a specific location visit, the degree of location visit called Position Frequency (PF), and Inverse Location Frequency (ILF) are defined. In order to represent the degree of location area (cluster) visit, Inverse Cluster Frequency (ICF) is established. Moreover, along with the frequency of location visit, the duration of location visit is also considered. Therefore Position Duration (PD), Inverse Location Duration (ILD), and Inverse Cluster Duration (ICD) are defined. Using R language, real positioning data set collected by volunteers are analyzed in order to demonstrate the usefulness of these measures. The InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiodes(APDs) are one of the most practical devices for single-photon detection at the near-infrared wavelengths. In this paper, we report a Chinese-made InGaAs/InP APD based single-photon detector operated at 1.25 GHz. The combining technique of sine-wave gating and low-pass filtering was employed to suppress the spike noise. Detection efficiency of 20% was attained with the dark count rate of 2.34×10 per gate and the afterpulse probability of 2.1% at-25°C. These performance parameters were measured to be approximately the same as the imported APD, showing that the manufacturing technology and performance of the InGaAs/InP APD had a great progress in China.
