An increasing number of m-Health applications are being developed benefiting health service delivery. In this paper, a new methodology based on the principle of calm computing applied to diagnostic and therapeutic procedure reporting is proposed. A mobile application was designed for the physicians of one of the Portuguese major hospitals, which takes advantage of a multi-agent interoperability platform, the Agency for the Integration, Diffusion and Archive (AIDA). This application allows the visualization of inpatients and outpatients medical reports in a quicker and safer manner, in addition to offer a remote access to information. This project shows the advantages in the use of mobile software in a medical environment but the first step is always to build or use an interoperability platform, flexible, adaptable and pervasive. The platform offers a comprehensive set of services that restricts the development of mobile software almost exclusively to the mobile user interface design. Hadoop distributed file system(HDFS) as a popular cloud storage platform, benefiting from its scalable, reliable and low-cost storage *** it is mainly designed for batch processing of large files, it's mean that small files cannot be efficiently handled by HDFS. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to store small files in HDFS. In our approach, file size need to be judged before uploading to HDFS. If the file size is less than the size of the block,all correlated small files will be merged into one single file and we will build index for each small file. Furthermore, prefetching and caching mechanism are used to improve the reading efficiency of small files. Meanwhile, for the new small files,we can execute appending operation on the basis of merged file. Contrasting to original HDFS, experimental results show that the storage efficiency of small files is improved.

The commercial applications of NFC(Near Field Communication) have become increasingly mature. Many smartphones have become to carry NFC chip in default for communication. Warehouse management in the logistics industry has played a more and more important role in the current development of the electronic commerce. How to ensure the efficiency of warehousing in the most cost effective way is currently a difficult problem to be resolved. NFC technology application is a suitable solution for the verification module of the Warehouse Management system(WMS). We have designed and implemented the NFC picking verification system, which is mainly consisting of three parts: server, mobile client and tag printing system. Server uses the Spring architecture, and communicates with clients via HTTP protocol. Mobile client is an Android application using NFC technology to achieve verification steps. The tag printing system acquires SKU information from the logistics company and prints it to the NFC tag for verification. The NFC verification module is integrated into the activities of WMS, which can provide a new exploratory research for the commercial application of NFC.

The object of this article is to improve the intelligent vehicles' "ACC system"(Adaptive Cruise Control) and "Braking system" function and permits the vehicle have more sophisticated changing lane behavior and be able to deal with more complex situations when changing lane. Then test the function in the web simulator, which is designed by a start-up called CIL4 Sys and is software whose robustness for different functions needs to be test. Firstly, to improve the vehicle's changing/merging lane behavior, two algorithms are created: Algorithm 1 "changing/merging lane decision algorithm" sub system and Algorithm 2 "obstacle avoidance algorithm" sub system. The combination of these two algorithms serves as two different functions. A function dealing with the full process of intelligent vehicle's changing/merging lane in highway: Function 1 "Changing/merging lane function". And a function for obstacle avoidance in city road: Function 2 "Obstacle avoidance function". The main tools for developing the algorithm is Matlab/Simulink, the main environment for compiling the algorithm is VS2012. To test the function, a UML model is needed to integrate the function to the profile of that of the enterprise. And the UML model for this sub system has been constructed using PTC Integrity Modeler. There is a growing need for the development of an automatic performance model estimation method for Hadoop Distributed File system (HDFS) write and read (W/R) operations in order to deal with constant software improvement and updates, parameter configuration changes, hardware heterogeneity, and their Quality of service,(QoS) evaluation. Extant research based on single linear system model has a limited ability to explain the performance variations due to changes in HDFS parameters such as block size. These variations reveal some typical characteristics of nonlinear systems and are an obstacle in achieving effective automatic performance estimation. In order to deal with this challenge, a piecewise-linear multimodel modeling (PWLM3)-based automatic performance model estimation method is proposed for HDFS W/R performance. In the proposed method, a standard model base is built to standardize the model representation of every submodel. Moreover, a cluster quality assessment strategy is applied to evaluate the optimal number of submodels, and a submodel selection strategy is implemented to construct performance model candidates and improve the computation efficiency of the proposed method. In addition, Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) and Universal Global Optimization (UGO) algorithms are adopted to estimate the values of switch points and identify undetermined parameters of performance model candidates. Then the performance model is selected among these candidates according to Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) indicator. Experimental results demonstrate that the PWLM3-based performance model provides a good understanding and description of nonlinear characteristics of HDFS W/R performance and achieves better identification precision than a single linear system model-based one. Learning latent features of Web services will greatly boost the ability of search engine to discover relevant services. Extracted information from Web service Description Language (WSDL) documents of services is less efficient due to the limited usage of data source. Recently, a number of ongoing works have indicated incorporating service tag, a textual symbol provides additional contextual and semantic information, helps to enhance the process of service discovery. However, a large number of relevant tags for Web services are difficult to obtain in practice. In this paper, we propose a Web service Tag Learning system to address this issue. WTLearning system adopts sparse learning technique to fully understand the structure of high dimensional textual information extracted from WSDL documents and tags. Meanwhile, our proposed system implements Alternative Direction Method of Multiplier (ADMM) strategy, which accelerates solving process in Big Data environment. Extensive experiments are conducted based on real-world dataset, which consists of 24,569 Web services. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of WTLearning system. Specifically, our system outperforms other state-of-the-art frameworks in tag classification and recommendation tasks, with 29.6% and 27.1% performance gaining respectively.

The distorted Born approximation (DBA) combined with the numerical solutions of Maxwell equations (NMM3D) has been used for the radar backscattering model for NASA's Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) mission. The models for vegetated surfaces such as wheat, grass, soybean and corn have been validated with the Soil Moisture Active Passive Validation Experiment 2012 (SMAPVEX12) data. In this paper we report progress on development of a consistent model for combined active and passive microwave remote sensing of vegetated surfaces by using the same approach to obtain backscatter and emissivity. The active model DBA/NMM3D is extended to calculate bistatic scattering for each of the three scattering mechanisms: volume, double bounce and surface scattering. Then emissivity is obtained by integration of the bistatic scattering. An advantage of this combined active and passive model is that the same physical parameters of vegetation and soil surfaces are used in both the active model and the passive model. The β parameter that relates backscattering to emissivity is also derived for various vegetated surfaces.
