On-demand broadcast can satisfy multiple requests for the same data item, and improve the system performance. Network coding-based on-demand broadcast further helps save bandwidth, and further improves performance. In this research, a generalized encoding framework which incorporates network coding into data scheduling algorithms for on-demand broadcast is used to study the effect of network coding. In this framework data scheduling is formulated as a weighted maximum clique problem in a graph where the objective function of the clique is defined according to the performance objectives of the applications. The coding opportunity of the proposed framework is measured by the expected number of clients that can decode a data item out of an encoded broadcast data item. We set up a simulation environment and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of broadcast with coding, based on average access time, average stretch and deadline miss ratio. The results show network coding lead to significant performance improvements for all the algorithms. This effect is particularly significant when the cache size is large or when the data access pattern is more skewed.

Moving object tracking is the key technology of the intelligent video surveillance, robot navigation, and other areas of precision-guided in the computer vision filed. This paper focuses on the principles of traditional Camshift algorithm and put forward an improved algorithm that combined with the three-frame differencing method and the Camshift algorithm. This paper also introduced how to implement the moving object tracking system on ARM platforms. The experiment on two videos indicates that compared to the traditional Camshift the proposed algorithm is more effective and feasible.

The traditional collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm can be divided into the user-based and the item-based two methods, which only uses the information in the rating matrix. Because of the limitation of the information capacity they used, it is difficult to further improve the accuracy of the recommendation, and cold start problem also affects the normal operation of the recommendation system. This paper presented a collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm (UISA) fusing user-based, item-based and social networks data. The algorithm uses the data of the neighbor relations in social networks, calculating the users' friends not reflected in the rating matrix. At the same time, we can calculate the similarity between items by using the data of item text in social networks, mining similar items not reflected in the rating matrix. In this way, it can fundamentally expand available information capacity of the traditional filtering collaboration recommendation algorithms, improve the recommendation accuracy, alleviate cold start problem. Experimental results based on KDD CUP 2012 real data show that compared with the traditional collaborative filtering system, this system has obvious advantages in the recommendation accuracy and ease of cold start.

As the need increase for information technology to fuse with daily household appliances, an interaction style that effectively compliments recent technology's innovation and application is in great demand. In this paper, we proposed a system, referring as to contextual intelligence system, is composed by five technologies according to five core elements: thermal comfort, physical safety, environmental comfort, environmental safety and psychological comfort, furthermore, these technologies share three common steps to display the nature of contextual intelligence. Thus, the system can help people to create healthy and comfortable household environment in the shortest time, and further meet people's requirement more conveniently without interacting with users. At last, by making an analysis on the whole system, we find that all the elements are related with each other, and then the system is able to provide an overall health and comfort service for people in the household.

We proposed and implemented a computer-aided sport training system to evaluate the performance of the point guard in basketball competitions but not only for the training course. To verify the efficiency of the system, we employ the proposed system to track the route of the point guards of both teams in two of the 2012 William Jones Cup competitions and then parameterize the competition record to obtain movement trajectories and distances. The result shows that the movement distance of the winning team is less than that of losing team. The trajectory of the winning team is also more concentrated around certain spots with greater varieties of coordinate values than that of the losing team. The results presents that the proposed system can provide the significant information for coaches and athletes to efficiently assess the team performance on the court in a competition.

The grain yield forecasting system is an important part of the food security,which crucially related with the safety of the politics and the military of the country,however,existing prediction methods have reduced accuracy due to problems such as data correlation and data *** overcome these problems,the grey forecast(GF) model for the grain yield is proposed in this ***,the forecasting method based on the grey theory is established by using the yield series data from 1980 to ***,the prediction model is tested by the residual,the posteriori difference and the correlation ***,the prediction precision is compared between the GM(1,1) and the moving average *** results shown that the forecasting model can predict the grain yield accurately,the mean relative error is 3.78%,and the maximum error is less than 10%,which can satisfy the needs of the forecasting system.

Legacy system migration to the cloud brings both great challenges and benefits, so there exist various academic research and industrial applications on legacy system migration to the cloud. By analyzing the research achievements and application status,we divide the existing migration methods into three strategies according to the cloud service models integrally. Different processes need to be considered for different migration strategies, and different tasks will be involved accordingly. The similarities and differences between the migration strategies are discussed, and the challenges and future work about legacy system migration to the cloud are proposed. The K computer, released on September 29, 2012, is a large-scale parallel supercomputersystem consisting of 82,944 compute nodes. We have been able to resolve a significant number of operation issues since its release. Some system software components have been fixed and improved to obtain higher stability and utilization. We achieved 94% service availability because of a low hardware failure rate and approximately 80% node utilization by careful adjustment of operation parameters. We found that the K computer is an extremely stable and high utilization system.
