Forest fire in Indonesia is considered as an annual event that causes serious problems in health and environment especially in Sumatera and Kalimantan Islands. Studies on analyzing hotspot data as forest fire indicators are required for predicting hotspot occurrences. The objective of this work is to detect global and collective outliers on hotspot data in Riau Province in Sumatera Island for the period 2001-2012. The data used in this work are 4383 daily hotspots and 144 monthly hotspots. The method applied to discover outliers is the k-means clustering algorithm. The best clustering results are obtained on the number of clusters of 10 and the sum of squared error value is 18526.14. Based on the clustering results, we obtain 59 collective outliers and 30 global outliers on the hotspot dataset. The outliers on the hotspot data mostly occur in February, March, June, July, and August. The average frequency of outliers is 482.22 and the highest frequency of outliers is occurred in 2005. As many 1118 hotspots were found in the northern part of the Riau province on 21 June 2005. In August 2005 outliers spread on the whole area of Riau Province. For the period 2001-2012 there are no outliers occurred in April, November and December. This information is essential for an early warning system in forest fires prevention.

The soil nutrition is an important indicator of soil fertility. The method K-means and FCM are always used to evaluating the soil fertility, but the cluster number need to be set, and the outlier couldn't be eliminated accurately, and there is the deviation between the real result and the soil fertility. So the paper applied the FUMF to analysis the soil nutrient data of Nong An county for eight years, 2005–2012. The result show that the low fertility soils gradually decreased from 2005 to 2012 by precision fertilization, and the moderate and high fertility soil was rising, the overall soil fertility of Nong An had improved significantly. The analysis result was consistent with the actual situation,The FUMF algorithm is proved that was an effective evaluate method of the soil fertility evaluation. It has the practical significance to analyze the large number of soil fertility of high complexity and interactive, it also provided the technical support for precision fertilization decision-making.

Users need a retrieval tool to realize the clothing information search function efficiently. The content-based image retrieval technology and network shopping based on, with intention of apparel information for the user, is very practical significance. In order to further enhance the convenience when users look for clothes, an image querying and retrieval system based on color feature is designed and implemented. How quickly and accurately retrieve images from a vast image database becomes an urgent problem to be solved. This paper compares a variety of color feature extraction methods and similarity measure methods. Experiments show that Euclidean Metric and global color histogram using RGB space are relatively appropriate for clothing images search.

The offshore/on-site teams' service climate is one of the key predictors of attaining the global software development (GSD) project outcome from the software service outsourcing perspective. This study aims at proposing a comprehensive methodology for measuring offshore/on-site team-level service climate (TSC) in the context of the GSD project outcome. For the evaluation of TSC in GSD projects, synthesizing literature reviews, extensive investigations are taken into account and to extend our earlier works (Sangaiah and Thangavelu in Int Rev Comput Softw 7(5):2159-2172, 2012;Sangaiah and Thangavelu in Proceedings of the IEEE internationalconference on computer communication and informatics (ICCCI), 2013;Sangaiah and Thangavelu in Cent Eur J Eng 3(3):419-435, 2013;Sangaiah and Thangavelu in Aust J Basic Appl Sci 7(8):374-385, 2013). Therefore, consistent with earlier studies on IT service climate, we have classified TSC characteristics of offshore/on-site teams' into three main dimensions: managerial practices (deliver quality of service), global service climate (measure overall perceptions), and service leadership (goal setting, work planning, and coordination) which covers twenty-five offshore/on-site teams' service climate attributes. For evaluating the TSC, we have considered adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system, which is more suitable to find interrelationship between service climate criteria. Finally, this study empirically assesses with 338 experts in India to explore offshore/on-site team-level service climate and GSD project outcome relationship.
