This work was developed in the context of European funded Project SelSus. Industrial clouds are heavily sensor based and Cloud Manufacturing Service frameworks are mostly grounded in the adoption of Internet of Things and Wireless Sensor Networks technologies. The SelSus framework combines both an Industrial Sensor Cloud and a Cyber Physical Production System. The Industrial Sensor Cloud supports the Cyber Physical Production System, by providing computational power, as well as internal coordination and control, and external access to realize intelligent monitoring and control. The SelSus framework combines embedded systems, networks, sensors and actuators and control algorithms in a seamless manner. Our goal is to have a Flexible Sensor Integration solution that allows rapid graphical development of interpreters of raw data packets in the Cloud and its deployment for embedded execution at the Wireless Sensor Network gateway level for automatic data acquisition. This paper describes such a technology and demonstrates its feasibility, where a match between a graphically developed interpreter and the received messages from the Wireless Sensor Network in US-ASCII is made, and the integration of such sensors is made into the system.

In Genetic Algorithm, the population size is an important parameter which directly influences the ability to search an optimum solution in the search space. Many researchers have revealed that having a large number of population leads to the accuracy of getting an optimal solution. But having a large population size will not be a good idea in case where the search space is small. Hence, optimal size for population pool has been determined, but the size is kept fixed. Despite the pool size is optimal, the fixed size population leads to time complexity and make the search more complex by increasing the number of generation to converge. So, the population pool size needs to be dynamically varying through the entire GA evolution of new solutions. This paper proposes an adaptive population pool based genetic algorithm, termed as APOGA,in which the population pool size either grown or shrunk at every iteration based on the performance status of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm is implemented and the performance is compared with standard genetic algorithm while solving benchmark test function with varying size of solution space. The experimental results show that APOGA outperforms standard GA for all the solution spaces.

Objectives: Using hospital information system(HIS) to classify the patients who were treated in the emergency department and discuss the spectrum of diseases. Methods: We collected the clinical information of the patients who were treated in the emergence department from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. The patients were divided into different groups by their disease, and analyzed the numbers and frequencies of each subgroup. Results: From the data of 12 months, we concluded that the most frequencies of diseases are cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, neurological diseases and digestive diseases. There were no significant difference among the first three diseases, but the patients number of digestive diseases were increased in the winter. And the mortality of critical patients in January and February was higher than other months. Conclusion: 1) The increasing patients number of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases was corresponding to the increasing of aging population, and there were no difference in 12 months. 2) The increasing number of digestive diseases between December to February maybe associated with diet change. 3) The mortality of critical patients in January and February was higher than other months.

Recently, as importance of history is being emerged, IT-grafted cultural contents industry has been extensively grown. In particular, a study on development of cultural heritage sites, architectural cultural property and digital contents for historical remains restoration by using augmented reality technology has been performed. However, most of the existing restoration system of digital contents is being mainly performed indoors in reality. In this paper, 3D model visualization system of cultural heritage sites by using outdoor augmented reality, not indoor augmented reality, is intended to be presented. Presented visualized system augments 3D model of cultural heritage sites in video image inputted from outdoor by using object panorama, SURF and GPS. And the users may be provided with information for cultural heritage sites without difficulty through this visualized system.

This paper presents findings of our exploratory research work on a novel combine of Topic Modeling, Named Entity Recognition and Sentiment Classification for sociological analysis of blog data. We have collected more than 500 blog posts on the broader theme of ‘Discrimination, Abuse and Crime against Women'. We employed topic discovery to identify top keywords and key themes and implemented the 7-entity model Named Entity Recognition process to identify the key persons, organizations and locations discussed in the blog posts. Thereafter we performed sentiment classification of the entire blog data into positive and negative categories using SentiWordNet. The results obtained are very interesting and validate the usefulness of our approach for computational analysis of social media data. The key contribution of the paper is to propose a novel Text Analytics combine and demonstrate its applicability for computational exploration of the social media data for sociological analysis purposes.

Operators, all over the world, search for the latest technologies and facilities to attract more customers. The LTE is the newest mobile technology, dedicated mainly for high-speed data transfer, and having all the chances to replace the existing legacy networks if it can provide voice services similar or even better from the existing. The delay on providing viable handsets supporting Single Radio Voice Call Continuity(SRVCC) solution forced many operators to use intermediate voice solutions, such as Circuit Switch Fallback(CSFB), not really elegant, in order to announce the support of voice services on their network, and overlook the fact of affecting badly their user's quality experience. We have proposed a smarter way for CSFB implementation, to clear all the confusions facing operators having still LTE network voiceless, and hesitating between the SRVCC solution, assumed to have viable handset on the coming months, or to the actual CSFB deployment. The first selection might give the precession in the media battle to other competitors, and the second selection might drain the cost resources reserved for voice over LTE project and consume more time depending on the width of the network. We have suggested also interesting recommendations to reduce the call setup time and improve the user quality experience, to overcome the main CSFB solution drawback.

Discovering of optimal cluster through the help of optimization procedure is a recent trend in clustering ***, several algorithms have been developed in the literature to mine optimal clusters. Most of the optimizationbased clustering algorithms presented in the literature are only focused on the same objective given in the well-known clustering process, k-means clustering. Instead of k-means objective, some more effective objective functions are designed by the researchers for clustering. So, hybridization of those effective objectives with optimization algorithms can lead the effective clustering results. With the aim of this, we have presented a hybrid algorithm, called MKF-Cuckoo which is the hybridization of cuckoo search algorithm with the multiple kernel-based fuzzy c means algorithm. Here, MKFCM objective is taken and the same objective is solved through the cuckoo search algorithm which is one of the recent optimization algorithm proved effective in many optimization problems. For proving the effectiveness of the algorithm,the performance of the algorithm is comparatively analyzed with some other algorithm using clustering accuracy, rand coefficient, jaccard coefficient and computational time with iris and wine datasets. From the results, we can prove that the hybrid algorithm obtained 96% accuracy in iris data and 67% accuracy in wine data.

PVP(Plant Variety Protection) has been playing an increasingly important role in social development, and it has attracted great attentions worldwide. The rapid growth in PVP has placed mounting pressure on the selection of similar varieties used in PVP examination, or DUS test. Such situation makes the traditional way of similar variety selection relying on manual work in trouble. Information System of Varieties of Common Knowledge was proposed in this paper with the aim of improving the accuracy and efficiency of PVP examination and sorting out all kinds of information of plant *** framework, management, maintenance and function of this System was introduced, and the application of this System in the selection of similar varieties was also illustrated in this paper. Based on this System, selection of similar varieties can be standardized, simplified, and independent of subjective judgment from PVP examiners. The information of plant varieties can be managed as well.

The article is devoted to the pan-European information technologies aimed at optimizing the control of crossing the state borders of the pan-European territory, which is part of the Schengen area, taking into account such factors of development of modern reality as globalization and regionalization of the world economy, as well as the growing threat of international terrorism. Automated interstate information systems are considered in the article as a necessary measure of compensatory nature in the conditions of the common economic space functioning on the principles of freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor. As a result of the conducted research the priority measures of effective functioning and legal development of SIS are named and reasoned. Recommendations on legal provision of safety of functioning of network and information systems of the EU providing uninterrupted functioning of internal market are given. The on-line assessment of structural health of aircraft fuselage panels and their remaining useful life is crucial both in military and civilian settings. This paper presents an application of a Support Vector Machines(SVM) classification framework aimed at improving the diagnosis task based on the strain values acquired through a monitoring sensor network deployed on the helicopter fuselage panels. More in details, diagnosis is usually defined as detecting a damage, identifying the specific component affected(i.e., bay or stringer) and then characterizing the damage in terms of center and size. Here,the first two steps are performed through the SVM classification framework while the last one is based on an Artificial Neural Network(ANN) hierarchy already presented in a previous authors' *** training dataset was built through Finite Elements Method(FEM) based simulation, able to simulate the behavior of any type of panel and damage according to specific parameters to set up;the result of FE simulation consists of the strain fields on different locations. As results, the proposed SVM classification framework permits to improve reliability of detection and characterization tasks respect to the previous approach entirely based on ANN ***, the remaining useful life is estimated by using another ANN, different for damage on bay and stringer, able to predict the values of two parameters of the NASGRO equation which is used to estimate the damage propagation.
