The development of existing software system, including web-based developmental surveillance programs, adopt linear software versioning systems wherein all files associated to a particular software version is pre-packed together and distributed to clients. In this paper, the two inconveniences incurred by linear software versioning onto web-based software development have been highlighted in terms of the software system update and rollback infrastructure. The use of a new Pushdown Automata (PDA) based versioning framework has been proposed to resolve these issues, by reducing update file storage requirements on the master server, and by simplifying the update files fetching process and version update/rollback installation process. Based on the proposed PDA-based versioning framework, a description is provided on how branched software versioning systems can be implemented to facilitate the development of a light-weight central repository server which allows access to different online language screening tools for all respective needs.

Gait training helps in the assistance and rehabilitation of those who have problems with their locomotion system through better control of their limbs and also prevents degeneration of the musculoskeletal system. However, gait tracking should be accurate and the system should be robust for large-scale deployment. In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme (AFCS) is investigated for generating assisting torque for a lower limb exoskeleton consisting of knee-ankle orthosis. Grey wolf optimization is used for choosing optimum parameters of AFCS. Further, extensive simulation studies for trajectory tracking, parametric uncertainty handling and disturbance rejection analysis were carried out and a comprehensive comparative analysis was performed against a state-of-the-art control technique based on a coupled adaptive frequency oscillator (CAFO) to track a given non-sinusoidal pattern. Simulation results establish that the AFCS outperforms CAFO based control scheme for all cases. © 2020 ieee.

One of the ways humans communicate is by using facial expressions. Research on technology development in artificial intelligence uses deep learning methods in human and computer interactions as an effective system application process. One example, if someone does show and tries to recognize facial expressions when communicating. The prediction of the expression or emotion of some people who see it sometimes does not understand. In psychology, the detection of emotions or facial expressions requires analysis and assessment of decisions in predicting a person's emotions or group of people in communicating. This research proposes the design of a system that can predict and recognize the classification of facial emotions based on feature extraction using the Convolution Neural Network (CNN) algorithm in real-time with the OpenCV library, namely: TensorFlow and Keras. The research design implemented in the Raspberry Pi consists of three main processes, namely: face detection, facial feature extraction, and facial emotion classification. The prediction results of facial expressions in research with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method using Facial Emotion Recognition (FER-2013) were 65.97% (sixty-five point ninety-seven percent) © 2020 ieee.

This paper presents a metaheuristic-based temperature controller for an exothermic batch process. Developing a suitable temperature controller for an exothermic process is a challenging task because large amount of heat is released rapidly during the process. The exothermic behavior will further increase the reaction rate and cause more heat to be liberated. As the result, the improper temperature control might cause the reaction becomes unstable and consequently poses safety concern to the plant personnel and equipment. The conventional non-metaheuristic-based controller, such as fuzzy logic requires empirical data or knowledge about the total amount heat released while developing its fuzzy rules and membership functions for precision control. However, the detailed kinetic model of the heat released is unable to be obtained since there are several unobservable parameters during the process, such as the energy held in the reactor and jacket walls. Therefore, particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) is proposed as the controller to maintain the reactor temperature at the desired trajectory by manipulating the inlet jacket fluid temperature and flow rate. The simulation results show the proposed PSO produces better performances in terms of minimizing fluctuation in control actions and overshooting as compared with the conventional fuzzy logic controller. © 2019 ieee.

Electrical appliances are one of the most important necessities in the modern world. With the advancement of technologies, modern electrical appliances can accomplish various tasks effectively for the convenient and comfort of human life. However, with the increase in the number of household appliances since the past few decades, the demand for residential electrical energy has consistently in the increasing trend. To prevent energy wastage, it is desirable to have a smart control system that can automatically turn off the appliances that are not in use. In this paper, an intelligent electrical appliance control system is proposed to control the switching of household appliances based on the detection of human presence. Instead of using a pyroelectric (PIR) sensor which is commonly used for human motion detection, this system uses a thermal sensor which is also able to detect stationary human and provide accurate location of human in the detection area. A calibration method is introduced to determine the proper temperature threshold for effective human detection. In the proposed system, the detection area of the sensor is divided into several sections. Based on the human detection result, the switching of the appliances in each section can be individually controlled. Test on the implemented prototype showed that the proposed system is able to detect human presence in different sections of the monitored area and control the switching of the electrical appliances. The system is thus has the potential to prevent wastage of electrical energy by automatically turning off the unnecessary appliances such as lighting or fans when human is not presence.

To improve the control performance of the lane departure prevention system, a segmented coordinated control method of active steering and differential braking is proposed. Taking the longitudinal velocity and road curvature as input and considering the driving habits of the driver in different lanes, the fuzzy controller used to determine the virtual lane boundary is designed. The control decision of LDPS is determined by combining the steering behavior index, which characterizes the steering intervention of the driver with the virtual lane boundary width. Next, the segmented control strategy is designed. In the first stage of the assistance control, the intervening time of coordinated control mode based on active steering and differential braking and the additional yaw moment when working in coordinated control mode is determined. A single control mode based on active steering is adopted in the second phase of assistance control. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed coordinated control method is evaluated with numerical simulation and experiments on a human-in-the-loop platform. The obtained results show that the designed method not only can avoid lane departures effectively, but also provides a smooth ride quality to the passenger. © 2020 ieee.

The paper investigates the design study of event-triggered control (ETC) based on non-fragile approach for load frequency problems in multi-area interconnected power network with transmission delays. The relationship between ETC systems and non-fragile systems is established and is used to design the event condition. Event parameter, maximum sampling interval and maximum allowable delay bound (MADB) are co-designed by solving the linear matrix inequality (LMIs) to be feasible. The proposed design ensures faster frequency and tie-line power control without compromising with the advantages of ETC mechanism. The closed-loop system stability is theoretically proved by selecting an appropriate Lyapunov Krasovskii functional and verified by simulation for three area power networks in MATLAB 2013a. © 2020 ieee.

One of the key reasons for delivering a high quality software system is to meet the core requirements of the stakeholder. Software requirements prioritization (RP) is being used to identify the core requirements to be implemented as perceived by system stakeholders. Various research studies have been conducted by proposing new RP techniques and evaluating the performance of the RP process. Although existing studies have made a substantial contribution in improving RP performance, no explicit effort has been made to analyse the elements to be considered in formulating an effective RP process. Hence, this study aims to identify and investigate precisely the interrelated elements which must be taken into account in formulating an effective RP technique. To achieve the aim of this study, the investigation is conducted based on the stepwise methodology which is comprised of three steps: research questions formulation, related studies collection, and analysis of the extracted studies. The findings revealed four interrelated elements that are necessary to be considered to obtain an effective RP process for requirements selection. Also, the usage description of each specified element was precisely elaborated. Such investigation can be used as guide for assisting the researchers and practitioners in attaining an effective RP process. Proposing a new technique is recommended with considering the identified elements for obtaining an effective RP for requirements selection.

The term used for networking of objects, equipment, vehicles, and other electronics device into the network for information exchange purpose is called Internet of Things (IoT). Nowadays, IoT is widely used for connecting device and collecting data information. Therefore, the use of IoT is very relevant for agriculture. The project is about smart agriculture system that is implemented with IoT. The system is combined with irrigation system in order to cope with the unpredictable weather in Malaysia. Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is used as the microcontroller of this system. DHT22 and soil moisture sensor is used to detect the temperature and humidity in surrounding and moisture level of the soil respectively where the output will be displayed on smartphone and computer. So, Smart Agriculture systems using Internet of Things with Raspberry Pi brings a tremendous impact on the farmer's working method. Plus, it will also bring a positive effect on the crop production in Malaysia. Where about 24.44% water savings rate in a year can be achieved when using IoT-based irrigation systems compared to traditional irrigation systems. This would save the expenditure for hiring workers and avoid water wastage in daily needs.

This study suggests that natural sources may become an important tool in treating cancer. Neolamarckia cadamba (NC) leaves also well-known as 'Anthocephalus Cadamba', is a precious plant in Ayurvedic medicine. HeLa cells are one of the examples of eukaryotic cells type. It is derived from human cervical cancer cells. This experiment is conducted in different concentrations of NC Leaves (1μg/ml, 5μg/ml, 10μg/ml, 20μg/ml, 30μg/ml, 40μg/ml, 50μg/ml, 60μg/ml, 70μg/ml, 80μg/ml, 90μg/ml and 100μg/ml) for 48 hours. This experiment's result proves that the anti-cancer properties of the extract of NC leaves are by increasing the concentration of extract, the numbers of cell viability will decrease. For contribution, the process of NC leaves extract will be combined with the electroporation process to investigate the effect on HeLa cell. Electroporation parameters used for this study were (voltage 600v/cm, pulse duration 5ms, single pulse). © 2019 ieee.
